  • UIpopover is presenting user with a 'done' button that I can't get rid of

    I'm not sure why this is coming up I am porting my app into an ipad version and moving one of my views which happens to be a navigation controller into a uipopover. I did have a uibarbutton item on the view im porting with a "done" button to dismiss the navcontroller but I commented out that code and its still appearing, not sure why. I remember someone mentioning some versions of xcode are wonky with uipopovers anyone know which ones? im using 3.2.3

    Hi, I have a method used to save an image when the user clicks Save. I use performSelectorInBackground to save the image, the viewcontroller is popped and the previous viewcontroller is shown. I want the table (on the previousUIViewController) to reload its data when the imagesaving is done. How can I do this?     Hi, I am trying to create a very basic\ minimalistic playlist application for http://www.google.co.in/music. Basically Google music displays links to song and when clicked it opens flash based player. Using my application i am collecting music links into a list box, when an song is clicked it opens the link in a separate webbrowser and it starts playing. As of now to achieve playlist functionality i also collect the time for each song and based on that i create a timer, once the time is over it switches to other song. My Question here is that, is it possible to detect when the flash player is done playing music. Currently the timer functionality that i have built is not reliable.   • UIWebView/MPMoviePlayerController and the "Done" button

    I am using the UIWebView to load both streaming audio and video. I have properly set up the UIWebView delegate and I am receiving webViewDidStartLoading and webViewFinishedLoading events perfectly. The webview launches a full screen window (likely a MPMoviePlayerController) Apple's MoviePlayer example gets the array of Windows to determine which window the moviePlayerWindow is for adding custom drawing/getting at the GUI components. I believe this to be a bad practice/hack. My expectation is that I should be able to figure out when that button was clicked by either a delegate method or an NSNotification. It may also be the case that I have to poke around subviews or controllers with isKindOf calls, but I don't think those are correct approaches. Are my expectations incorrect, and if so, why? What is the correct way to bind an action to that "Done" button?

  • Insert some data at later point once serialization(binary serialization) is done for a class

    My application is written in C# and I am a newbie to C#. I am facing with a problem during serialization. The problem is as follows. There are many classes in my project and when serialization is called on one of the main class object it serializes itself and during this process many of the member objects are also get serialized. This whole serialization is done in to a file with extension say ".bin". This bin file size should be of size max 20MB. In this process of serialization one of my other class also gets serialized to a stream, this class is having a big array. The size of this array or list can be of 80 MB or more. So during serialization i have serialize all the objects other than this array and depending upon the size left in the 20MB I need to add in between the serialization the number of array elements which can fit in the remaining memory. For the other array elements left out I have to create a similar kind of .bin file with all the objects serialized and in between need to insert the number of array elements that can fit there. The main problem here is the array elements get inserted at runtime and this list keeps on increasing. So i should be creating .bin files continuously until my application runs. Any ideas how can i implement a solution for this problem? Thanks in Advance.

Now I need to do something once the drag is done. I was unsuccessful in attempting to do this completely with RX and ended up doing leftMouseDragging.Subscribe(value=> { dragging = true; //Some other code }); leftMouseUp.Subscribe(e=> { if(dragging) { MessageBox.Show("Just finished dragging"); dragging = false; } }); This works fine until I do a right mouse button drag. Then when I click the left mouse button I get the message box. If I only do a left button drag I get the message box, and then clicking the left mouse button doesn't produce the box. I'd like to do this without the external state, but if nothing else I'd at least like for it to work properly. FYI: I tried making dragging volatile and using a lock, but that didn't work. EDIT It turns out my problem was with a right click context menu. Once I got rid of that my above code worked. So, now my problem is how to I get to have the context menu and still have my code work. I assume the Context menu was handling the left mouse click and that somehow caused my code to not work, but I'm still puzzling it out.

I do not know where I need to place my codes: requestWentDone:(ASIHTTPRequest *)request or queueComplete:(ASINetworkQueue *)queue I noticed there is no tag property for request, so I added it to ASIHTTPRequest to help me recognize which thread prompts the function reuqestWentDone, I can get the tag of different request, but I do not know how to remove the ASIHTTPRequest thread from myQueue.   • The linking is not done (gcc compilation)

    Hello everyone! So i have this issue : i am declaring some extern global variables in my C program. If I don't use the -c option for gcc, i get undefined references errors. But with that -c option, the linking is not done, which means that i don't have an executable generated. So how do I solve this? Here is my makefile.     We are in design phase of a project whose goal is replatforming an ASP classic application to ASP.Net 4.0. The system needs to be entirely web based. There are several new requirements for the new system that make this a challenging project: The system needs to be database independent. It must, at version 1.0, support MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres and DB2. The system must be able to allow easy reporting from the database by third party reporting packages. The system must allow an administrative end user to create their own tables in the database through the web based interface. The system must allow an administrative end user to design/configure a user interface (web based) where they can select tables and fields in the system (either our system's core tables or their own custom tables created in #3) The system must allow an administrative end user to create and maintain relationships between these custom created tables, and also between these tables and our system's core tables. The system must allow an administrative end user to create business rules that will enforce validation, show/hide UI elements, block certain actions based on the identity of specific users, specific user groups or privileges. Essentially it's a system that has some core ticket tracking functionality, but allows the end user to extend the interface, business rules and the database. Is this possible to build in a .Net, Web based environment? If so, what do you think the level of effort would be to get this done? We are currently a 6 person shop, with 2.5 full time developers.

    I have setup a ghettoVCB script in order to backup three VM. I put it in a crontab but I have an issue. In my backup folder I have 3 different folders, one for each VM. It seems that a backup didn't finish the process.
