    I'm using Apache as reverse proxy for several different projects. PCI-DSS compliance scanning shows that my Apache is having HTTP CONNECT method enabled. as stated on Acunetix's site - http://www.acunetix.com/vulnerabilities/apache-proxy-http-connect-metho/ As far as I know, CONNECT is used by the web server to tunnel SSL to application server. Any suggestion how should I fix this? Otherwise, anyone know how should I perform the test if my Apache's HTTP CONNECT method is enabled/disabled?

  • Unable to connect to Adobe Connect

    I am having troubles trying to connect my colleges Adobe Connect. I have done the test meeting connection and it will say "Unable to connect". I have tried connecting on 3 other computers and it works with flying colors. I am running Norton 360 on my computer and I also tried it on my other laptop thats also running Norton 360 and it works on that laptop. I also checked my hosts file and that is not the problem because I am able to connect to the server (on port 80) but not the Adobe Connect port (port 1935). The only thing in it is "127.0.0.1 localhost" Here are the details from the log that the test created: Player Version: WIN 11,3,300,271 App-Server returned: code:ok, servers=rtmp://connect.bowvalleycollege.ca:1935/_rtmp://localhost:8506/,rtmpt://connect.bowvalleycollege.ca:443/_rtmp://localhost:8506/ ERROR: FMS Server did not return correctly! Here is my specifications: Windows 7 SP1 x64 Norton 360 v6.3 (latest) It won't connect in Firefox v15, Chrome v19, or IE9 All of my computers are connected through the same router (D-Link DIR-625) Any ideas?

  • Can't Connect To Local Mysql Using IP Address, but CAN connect from remote server

    Here's an interesting one that does not seem to fall into any of the mysql connection issues I've read about or searched for: On an Ubuntu 12.04 box I had some system updates waiting to install, and I took care of that this evening. After the install, I started seeing some errors in my syslog complaining about a particular php script that could no longer connect to the mysql instance on the box. Here is the specific error: PHP Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.0.40' (4) Now, the server's IP address is 192.168.0.40, and I've checked to make sure that I have mysql listening on 0.0.0.0 so that I can connect using either "localhost" or "192.168.0.40". Here's where things get odd: From the local machine, if I try the following: mysql -uroot -p -h192.168.0.40 I get this error: ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.0.40' (110) I've checked, and error 110 indicates an OS timeout, and error 2003 is the mysql generic "can't connect" error. This indicates that it is not permissions with the user. However, if I do the same thing from a remote machine (say, from 192.168.0.30), I log right in with no problems. Futher, other scripts on the local machine that connect to mysql using "localhost" for the host rather than "192.168.0.40" connect with no problems. Also, I can connect via the mysql socket with no problems both from the command line and php scripts. So, this feels like a networking issue of some kind on the local box, but there are no iptables rules on this box (it is firewalled externally) and I can't figure out what else may be causing this. This problematic script worked perfectly prior to the latest system update. For now, I'll simply change the script to connect via localhost, but I'd really like to know why it broke for 2 reasons: There may be other scripts that connect using 192.168.0.40 that don't run very often which are now broken. Auditing them all will take more time than I feel like devoting at the moment. I'm curious, and want to know why it broke so I can fix it correctly. Any help?

  • Paging enormous tables on DB2

    We have a view that, without constraints, will return 90 million rows and a reporting application that needs to display paged datasets of that view. We're using nhibernate and recently noticed that its paging mechanism looks like this: select * from (select rownumber() over() as rownum, this_.COL1 as COL1_20_0_, this_.COL2 as COL2_20_0_ FROM SomeSchema.SomeView this_ WHERE this_.COL1 = 'SomeValue') as tempresult where rownum between 10 and 20 The query brings the db server to its knees. I think what's happening is that the nested query is assigning a row number to every row satisfied by the where clause before selecting the subset (rows 10 - 20). Since the nested query will return a lot of rows, the mechanism is not very efficient. I've seen lots of tips and tricks for doing this efficiently on other SQL platforms but I'm struggling to find a DB2 solution. In fact an article on IBM's own site recommends the approach that nhibernate has taken. Is there a better way?

    Why doesn't this work in IBM Data Studio (Eclipse): IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM SYSIBM.SYSVIEWS WHERE NAME = 'MYVIEW' AND CREATOR = 'MYSCHEMA') THEN DROP VIEW MYSCHEMA.MYVIEW; END IF; I have a feeling it has to do with statement terminators (;) but I can't find a syntax that works. Another similar question at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/355687/how-to-check-a-procedure-view-table-exists-or-not-before-dropping-it-in-db2-9-1 suggests that they had to create a proc but this isn't a solution for us.

  • Connection to DB2 in Python

    Hi, I'm trying to create a database connection in a python script to my DB2 database. When the connection is done I've to run some different SQL statements. I googled the problem and has read the ibm_db API (http://code.google.com/p/ibm-db/wiki/APIs) but just can't seem to get it right. Here is what I got so far: import sys import getopt import timeit import multiprocessing import random import os import re import ibm_db import time from string import maketrans query_str = None conn = ibm_db.pconnect("dsn=write","usrname","secret") query_stmt = ibm_db.prepare(conn, query_str) ibm_db.execute(query_stmt, "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM accounts") result = ibm_db.fetch_assoc() print result status = ibm_db.close(conn) but I get an error. I really tried everything (or, not everything but pretty damn close) and I can't get it to work. I just need to make a automatic test python script that can test different queries with different indexes and so on and for that I need to create and remove indexes a long the way. Hope someone has a solutions or maybe knows about some example codes out there I can download and study. Thanks Mestika

    I have a table in db2 which has the following fields int xyz; string myId; string myName; Example dataset xyz | myid | myname -------------------------------- 1 | ABC.123.456 | ABC 2 | PRQS.12.34 | PQRS 3 | ZZZ.3.2.2 | blah I want to extract the rows where myName matches the character upto "." in the myId field. So from the above 3 rows, I want the firs 2 rows since myName is present in myId before "." How can I do this in the query, can I do some kind of pattern matching inside the query?

    Although in Oracle DB its is allowed to parametrize the number of rows that the query can fetch by adding to the query: select ... from ... where ... and rownum <= @MaximumRecords I can't add similar condition to acuivalent query running in DB2: It is allowed to add: select ... from ... where ... fetch first 500 rows only (where there is fixed number of rows) but not: select ... from ... where ... fetch first :1 rows only (:1 == @MaximumRecords) Is someone aware of a solution/work-around to this problem?

    I have a bit of a task before me. (DB2 Database) I need to create a table that will be a child table (is that what it is called in SQL?) I need it so that it has a foreign key constraint with my other table, so when the parent table is modified (record deleted) the child table also loses that record. Once I have the table, I also need to populate it with the data from the other table (if there is an easy way to UPDATE this). If you could point me in the right direction, this would help alot, as I do not even know what syntax to look for. Thanks in advance

    situation: We have a web service running on tomcat accessing DB2 database on AS400, we are using JTOPEN drivers for JNDI connections handled by tomcat. For handling transactions and access to database we are using Spring. For each select system takes JDBC connection from JNDI (i.e. from connection pool), does selection, and in the end it closes ResultSet, Statement and releases Connection in that order. That passes fine, shared lock on table dissappears. When we want to do update the same way as we did with select (exception on ResultSet object, we don't have one in such situation), after releasing Connection to JNDI lock on table stays. If we put maxIdle=0 for number of connections in JNDI configuration, this problem disappears, but this degrades performances, we have cca 100 users online on that service, we need few connections to be alive in pool. What do you suggest?

  • How to I do install DB2 ODBC?

    I have been trying, with no success, to install a IBM DB2 ODBC driver so that my PHP server can connect to a database. I've tried installing the db2_connect and get all sorts of problems, I tried install I Access for Linux and the RPM did not install right nor did using alien breed any useful results. I've also tried the DB2 Runtime v8.1, no success. If I attempt to run the rpm it claims I need dependencies that I can't find in apt-get. Yum is also not very helpful as it appears I don't have any repositories installed or lists... I'm not using the DB2 Express C thing, even if I did try it to get the db2 php functions to work. And I don't have zend but I think I have every other package on the ubuntu repositories.     I am new to SQuirrel SQL. I need some help to translating CCSID 65535 into ASCII, UNICODE (or anything human readable) I am using the JDBC driver per the following guide. According to IBM's website: What character conversion issues must my program deal with? The IBM i database uses EBCDIC to store text. Java uses Unicode. The JDBC driver handles all conversion between character sets, so your program should not have to worry about it. but I think they refer to CCSID 37 and not 65535(Hex). I have got the following info, from my DB2 DB Doing DSPFD gives me: Coded character set identifier . . . . . . : CCSID 65535 Doing DSPFFD gives me: TXT CHAR 3 3 41 Both Text Field text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Text Coded Character Set Identifier . . . . . : 65535 But the SQuirrel query result for the TXT field is: 5c c1 c4 c4 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 c1 40 7e 40 c2 40 4e 40 c3 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 40 Which should be translated to something like: *ADD A = B + C

  • al32utf8 in oracle and SQL Server and DB2 pulling data

    I have a non-utf8 oracle database running on 11.1.0.7. We need to support greek characters. So we have two options: use nvarchar, nclob fields for those fields that need greek (it is not all fields). We have tested this and gotten it to work with java coding. convert Oracle to AL32UTF8 database. I am not asking how to do this. I got this from the Oracle Site/Oracle Support. I know what is involved, lossy data, etc, increasing the size of the database. My question is we have users to our system that connect to our database with database links but work on SQL Server and IBM DB2 databases. I do not have access to those databases and I do not have experience with them. If they are not in UTF-8 databases what happens when they pull UTF8 data? I would assume that English/Ascii characters are fine and the greek will end up as junk data. I also ran Oracle Character set scanner (oracle command line utility you use to get info about the affects of a character set conversion). It says that my database will crease in sizez by about 20%. Does this have an affect on users with 3rd party databases? These are customers of our data and there is a limit to how much access I can have to them to run tests. Any information you have would be welcome.

    I have a bit of a task before me. (DB2 Database) I need to create a table that will be a child table (is that what it is called in SQL?) I need it so that it has a foreign key constraint with my other table, so when the parent table is modified (record deleted) the child table also loses that record. Once I have the table, I also need to populate it with the data from the other table (if there is an easy way to UPDATE this). If you could point me in the right direction, this would help alot, as I do not even know what syntax to look for. Thanks in advance The table I have in place: create table titleauthors ( au_id char(11), title_id char(6), au_ord integer, royaltyshare decimal(5,2)); The table I am creating: create table titles ( title_id char(6), title varchar(80), type varchar(12), pub_id char(4), price decimal(9,2), advance decimal(9,2), ytd_sales integer, contract integer, notes varchar(200), pubdate date); I need the title_id to be matched with the title_id from the parent table AND use the ON DELETE CASCADE syntax to delete when that table is deleted from.     I'm trying to do pagination with a very old version of DB2 and the only way I could figure out selecting a range of rows was to use the OVER command. This query provide's the correct results (the results that I want to paginate over). select MIN(REFID) as REFID, REFGROUPID from ARMS_REFERRAL where REFERRAL_ID<>'Draft' and REFERRAL_ID not like 'Demo%' group by REFGROUPID order by REFID desc Results: REFID REFGROUPID 302 242 301 241 281 221 261 201 225 142 221 161 ... ... SELECT * FROM ( SELECT row_number() OVER () AS rid, MIN(REFID) AS REFID, REFGROUPID FROM arms_referral where REFERRAL_ID<>'Draft' and REFERRAL_ID not like 'Demo%' group by REFGROUPID order by REFID desc ) AS t WHERE t.rid BETWEEN 1 and 5 Results: REFID REFGROUPID 26 12 22 11 14 8 11 7 6 4 As you can see, it does select the first five rows, but it's obviously not selecting the latest. If I add a Order By clause to the OVER() it gets closer, but still not totally correct. SELECT * FROM ( SELECT row_number() OVER (ORDER BY REFGROUPID desc) AS rid, MIN(REFID) AS REFID, REFGROUPID FROM arms_referral where REFERRAL_ID<>'Draft' and REFERRAL_ID not like 'Demo%' group by REFGROUPID order by REFID desc ) AS t WHERE t.rid BETWEEN 1 and 5 REFID REFGROUPID 302 242 301 241 281 221 261 201 221 161 It's really close but the 5th result isn't correct (actually the 6th result). How do I make this query correct so it can group by a REFGROUPID and then order by the REFID?

    I think this is a fairly well known problem, but I haven't found a really solid solution to add to my toolbox. Here's the sequence of steps that leads to the problem: Install Windows (e.g., XP), naming the system XXX Install DB2 and create some databases Rename the system from XXX to YYY (via the System control panel's Computer Name tab Reboot and find DB2 unable to start How can I get DB2 up and running again without having to reinstall it and without having to rename the system back to XXX? I did find a blog post that hints at some registry values to tweak, but I'm hoping the SF community can come up with a solution in which I can have more confidence.
