• Multiple Servers + One MailServer

  Hy, I got several Linux-Servers (running Debian) where different services run: Database-Servers, Webservers, Applicationsservers, Tools and so on. All Servers are connected to the same internal network. There is also one special Server which is the Mail-Server: All Mailaccounts are stored on this server, it is also the outbound Mailserver for all the other servers. I want all Mails for all servers to get saved on the Mailserver. For example if an cron-job fails on one of the web-servers the mail should not be delivered to the local user but instead to the Mailserver so I get a centralized place for mail storage. How do you set up this scenario? My current setup is: Using postfix as MTA on the Mailserver and using ssmtp on all the other servers. SSMTP is configured to send the mails to the Mailserver. The Mailserver is configured to allow the whole internal network to relay mails using itself. Is this the right way to choose? I also thought about setting up a MTA (postfix) on every server and configure it somehow to forward the mails. What would be the advantage of this solution?

• SignalR - Handling disconnected users

  Hy, I'm using the signalR library on a project to handle an notification and chat modules. I've a table on an database to keep a track of online users. The HUB for chat is inheriting IDisconnect where i disconnect the user. After disconnecting the user, i warm the users about that event. At this point, i check if the disconnect user is the client. If it's, then i call an method on HUB to reconnect the user (just update the table). I do this because with the current implementation, once the user closes a tab on the browser it calls the Disconnect task but he could have another tab opened. I've not tested (with larger requests) this module yet, but on my development server it could take a few seconds between the IDisconnect event, and the request from the user to connect again. I'm concerned with my implementation to handle disconnected users from the chat but i can't see another way to improve this. If possible, could someone give me a advice on this, or this is the only solution that i've?

  Whenever I try to parse XML with special characters such as o or ???? I get an error. The xml documents claims to use UTF-8 encoding but that does not seem to be the case. Here is what the troublesome text looks like when I view the XML in Firefox: Bleach: The Diamond Dust Rebellion - MÅ? Hitotsu no HyÅ?rinmaru; Bleach - The DiamondDust Rebellion - Mou Hitotsu no Hyourinmaru On the actual website, Å? is actually the character o. <br /> One day, Doraemon and his friends meet Professor Mangetsu (æº?æ??å??ç??, Professor Mangetsu?), who studies magic and magical beings such as goblins, and his daughter Miyoko (ç¾?å¤?å­?, Miyoko?), and are warned of the dangerous approximation of the &quot;star of the Underworld&quot; to the Earth&#039;s orbit.<br /> <br /> And once again, on the actual website, those characters appear as ???? and ???. The actual XML file is formatted properly other than those special characters, which certainly do not appear to be using the UTF-8 encoding. Is there a way to get NSXML to parse these XML files?

• Internet explorer, Safari and Chrome problems with displaying @font-face rules.

  Hy guys, I've a problem with IExplorer, Chrome, Safari etc.. Only Firefox works perfectly with all of this @font-face rules: In Css: @font-face { font-family: Calibri; src: url('Calibri.ttf'); } @font-face { font-family: HAND; src: url('http://www.mydomain.org/css/HAND.eot'); src: url("HAND.ttf"); } #side_text { position:relative; width:330px; height:800px; float:left; margin-left:25px; margin-top:30px; } #side_text p { font-family: HAND; font-size: 18pt; text-align:left; color:#f3eee1; } In .html <div id="side_text"> text text text text text text text text I'ven't any problem with Calibri font, maybe because it's installed on os. The HAND font it's the problem. Moreover, IExplorer don't take any customs write in css (color, font-size, align..)   Hy Guys, I have to pass in a method action a string parameter, because I want to implement a tags' search in my site with asp.net MVC but everytime in action it is passed a null value. I post some code! • Not getting concept of null

  Hy Guys, Beginning with mysql. I am not able to grasp the concept of NULL. Check screen-shot (*declare_not_null, link*). In it when I specifically declared 'name' field to be NOT NULL. When i run the 'desc test' table command, the table description shows default value for name field to be NULL.Why is that so? From what I have read about NULL, it connotes a missing or information that is not applicable. So when I declare a field to be NOT NULL it implies (as per my understanding) that user must enter a value for the name field else the DB engine should generate an error i.e. record will not be entered in DB. However when i run 'insert into test value();' the DB engine enters the record in table. Check screen-shot(*empty_value, link*).   Hy... I'm new in XML Schema, XSL,... (I have basic understanding) On web page: http://w3schools.com/xsl/xsl_editxml.asp is shown example for open,edit,save xml file, but with asp. I have some jQuery function for rotate, duplicate, delete, shuffle images! when i select a image and hit delete i send a post to php with the alt="" value of the image,i identify the picture and edit. • Shrinking image by 57% and centering inside css structure

  Hy, i'm really stuck. I'll go step by step and hope to make it short. This is the html structure: <li class="FAVwithimage"> <a href=""> <img src="pics/Joshua.png"> <span class="name">Joshua</span> <span class="comment">Developer</span> <span class="arrow"></span> </a> </li> Before i paste the css classes, some info about the exact goal to accomplish: Resize the picture (img) by 57%. If it cannot be done with css, then jquery/javascript solution. For example: Original pic is 240x240px, i need to resize it by 57%. That means that a pic of 400x400 would be bigger after resizing. After resizing, the picture needs to be centered vertical&horizontal inside a: 68x90 boundaries. So you have an LI element, wich has an A element, and inside A we have IMG, IMG is resized by 57% and centered where the maximum width can be of course 68px and maximum height 90px. No for that to work i was adding a SPAN element arround the IMG.
