My question is in regards to the intial run settings (population size, number of generations, min/max depth of trees, min/max depth of initial trees, percentages to use for different reproduction operations, etc.).     Hi, in my Django (1.2) project, I want to prepopulate a field in a modelform, but my new value is ignored. This is the snippet: class ArtefactForm(ModelForm): material = CharField(widget=AutoCompleteWidget('material', force_selection=False)) def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(ArtefactForm, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) self.fields['material'].initial = 'Test' I also tried with self.base_fields, but no effect: there is always the database-value displaying in the form. Any ideas?

    I'm trying not to reinvent the wheel here...I have these four fields [tbl_Contacts].[FirstName], [tbl_Contacts].[MiddleInitial], [tbl_Contacts].[LastName], [tbl_Contacts].[Suffix] And I want to create a FullName field in a view, but I can't have extra spaces if fields are blank...So I can't do FirstName + ' ' + MiddleInitial + ' ' + LastName + ' ' + Suffix...Because if there is no middle initial or suffix I'd have 2 extra spaces in the field. I think I need a Case statement, but I thought someone would have a handy method for this...Also, the middleinitial and suffix may be null.

  • tablesorter pager initial pagination

    Hi, This might sound like a very stupid question to some of you, but I assure you I've been checking through the internet and I haven't had any luck about this. My question is: is it possible to set an initial pagination number in the tablesorter pager plugin? By default it takes the 10 option, but I've tried to put a 5 as the selected option and it loads 10 anyway. If I change it and come back to the 5 it will load as said, 5, but not at the beggining. Is there any option when loading the tablesorter? My code for the tablesorter is this: $("#TST").tablesorter({ headers: { 0: { sorter: false }, 4: { sorter: false }, 5: { sorter: false }, 6: { sorter: false} }, sortList: [[1, 0], [2, 0], [3, 0]], widgets: ['zebra'] }) .tablesorterPager({ container: $("#TSTPager"), positionFixed: false //, //pagesize: 5 }); the pagesize attribute I wrote in the tablesorterPager was a test, but it doesn't do what I want it to.

  • Calculate initial velocity to move a set distance with inertia

    Hello, I want to move something a set distance. However in my system there is inertia/drag/negative accelaration. I'm using a formula like this for it: velocity = oldVelocity + ((velocity - oldVelocity * inertia) where inertia is a fractional value like 0.25 So to move the item a set distance, I need to calculate what the initial velocity should be (I know what all the other values are). I've been looking at Equations of motion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equations_of_motion) but can't work out what the correct one for my problem is... Any ideas? Thanks!

  • JQuery UI Datepicker date format issue with initial value

    I need to set the initial date for the date picker to 03/20/2010 in mm-dd-yyyyy format. I have done this <input id='datepicker' type='text' value='20/03/2010' /> But my problem is on clicking the field date picker populates with today's date as highlighed and no date selected, and up on selecting date value But when i change my input field like one below <input id='datepicker' type='text' value='03/20/2010' /> Date picker is populating March 20 as selected date and current date highlighted. But all in 'mm-dd-yyyy' format! I want show all dates in 'dd-mm-yyyy' format. How can I solve this?

  • Cocos2D, UIScrollView, and initial placement of a scene

    Hello: I am using a UIScrollView to forward touches to Cocos2D as outlined in http://getsetgames.com/2009/08/21/cocos2d-and-uiscrollview/ Everything works great after a few days of working with it, except one thing: when the initial view appears on the screen, the background appears to be scrolled to the center. As soon as I try to scroll around, the image jumps to 0,0, and everything works as normal, except the touches are offset by half the width and height of the background image. Am I overlooking something basic? I can't think of a useful portion of the code that illustrates the issue, as I can't track it down, but would be happy to post code if anyone has any ideas.     I create an array, similar to classic C (not NSArray or one of it's children) - something like BOOL i[5];. And I want to make all its values to be equal to NO. First of all, I didn't found any information about initial values of such arrays (I know that in classic C they will be undefined, but don't know exactly about Objective-C. I found info about classes and its inner data [after allocation, without initialization], but not about simple data types). And the second, if I should set array values manually - should I use memset(...); or something different? To prevent possible questions... I want to use this construction as array of temporary boolean flags and don't think that it is proved to use something like NSArray here.

    I'm trying to do initial caps in actionScript with no loops but now i'm stuck. I wanted to select the first letter or every word then apply uppercase on that letter. Well I got the selection part right, but at a dead end right now, any ideas?     If I am serializing and later deserializing a class using DataContractSerializer how can I control the initial values of properties that were not serialized? Consider the Person class below. Its data contract is set to serialize the FirstName and LastName properties but not the IsNew property. I want IsNew to initialize to TRUE whether a new Person is being instantiate as a new instance or being deserialized from a file. This is easy to do through the constructor, but as I understand it DataContractSerializer does not call the constructor as they could require parameters.   • Is it possible to give a python dict an initial capacity (and is it usefull)

    I am filling a python dict with around 10,000,000 items. My understanding of dict (or hashtables) is that when too much elements get in them, the need to resize, an operation that cost quite some time. Is there a way to say to a python dict that you will be storing at least n items in it, so that it can allocate memory from the start? Or will this optimization not do any good to my running speed? (And no, I have not checked that the slowness of my small script is because of this, I actually wouldn't now how to do that. This is however something I would do in Java, set the initial capacity of the HashSet right)

    Hello, I'm using a TreeViewer within a jface WizardPage and the initial input into the tree causes the WizardPage to grow vertically so that it can show all of the tree's values. When expanding one of the tree's values, then the vertical scrollbar works as expected. I'd like to be able to set the tree's size initially so that it is fixed and the scrollbar is already shown when the WizardPage is first drawn, but doing this isn't particularly obvious to me - the setSize method on the TreeViewer's Tree doesn't seem to do anything. Any help would be appreciated!

    Code like this often happens: l = [] while foo: #baz l.append(bar) #qux This is really slow if you're about to append thousands of elements to your list, as the list will have to constantly be re-initialized to grow. (I understand that lists aren't just wrappers around some array-type-thing, but something more complicated. I think this still applies, though; let me know if not). In Java, you can create an ArrayList with an initial capacity. If you have some idea how big your list will be, this will be a lot more efficient. I understand that code like this can often be re-factored into a list comprehension. If the for/while loop is very complicated, though, this is unfeasible. Is there any equivalent for us python programmers?

  • WinForms ReportViewer: slow initial rendering

    UPDATE 2.4.2010 Yeah, this is an old question but I thought I would give an update. So, I'm working with the ReportViewer again and it's still rendering slowly on the initial load. The only difference is that the SQL database is on the reporting server. UPDATE 3.16.2009 I have done profiling and it's not the SQL that is making the ReportViewer render slowly on the first call. On the first call, the ReportViewer control locks up the UI thread and makes the program unresponsive. After about 5 seconds the ReportViewer will unlock the UI thread and display "Report is being generated" and then finally show the report. I know 5 seconds is not much but this shouldn't be happening. My coworker does the same thing in a program of his and the ReportViewer immediately displays the "Report is being generated" upon any request. The only difference is that the reporting server is on one server and the data is on another server. However, when I am developing the reports within SSRS, there is no delay. UPDATE I have noticed that only the first load of the ReportViewer takes a long time; each subsequent load of the same or different reports loads fast. I have a WinForms ReportViewer that I'm using in Remote processing mode that can take up to 30 seconds to render when the ReportViewer.RefreshReport() method is called. However, the report itself runs fast. This is the code to setup my ReportViewer: rvReport.ProcessingMode = ProcessingMode.Remote rvReport.ShowParameterPrompts = False rvReport.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl = New Uri(_reportServerURL) rvReport.ServerReport.ReportPath = _reportPath This is where the ReportViewer can take up to 30 seconds to render: rvReport.RefreshReport()

However, the user would pay $50 for the first time and $40 starting from next month. However, when the user chooses the Paypal recurring option and he pays $50, Paypal automatically chooses $50 from the next month onwards.   • Database version is zero on initial install

    I have released an app (World Time) with initial database. Now i want to update the app with a database upgrade. I have put in the upgrade code in OnUpgrade() and checking for the newVersion. But it was not being called in my local testing... So i put in the debug statement to get the database version and it is zero . Any idea why it is not being versioned ?   • Asp.Net Login Control very slow initial connection to Non-Trusted AD Domain

    ASP.NET Login control is very slow making the initial connection to AD when authenticating to a different domain than the domain the web server is a member of. Problem occurs for the IIS server and when using with the Visual Studio's built in web server. It takes about 30 seconds the first time when attempting to use the control to connect against another domain. There is no trust relationship bewteen the web server's domain and the other domains (attempted connecting to several different domains). Subsequent connections execute quickly until the connection times out. Using Systernals Process Monitor to troubleshoot, there are two OpenQuery operations right before the delay to "C:\WINDOWS\asembly\GAC_MSIL\System.DirectoryServices\2.0.0.0_b03f5f7f11d50a3a\Netapi32.dll with a result NAME NOT FOUND" and right after the 30 second delay the TCP Send and TCP Recieves indicate communication begins with the AD server. Things we have tried: Impersonating an administrator on the web server in the web.config; Granting permissions to the CryptoKeys to the NetworkService and ASPNET; Specifying by IP instead of DNS name; Multiple variations of specifying the name and ldap server with domains and OU's; Local host entries; Looked for ports being blocked (SYN_SENT) with netstat -an. Nslookup resolves all the domains and systems involved correectly. TraceRt shows the Correct routes Any Idea or hints are greately appreicated.
