    Hello, I have a page called guestbook.php in which contains $('#guest_form').ajaxForm({}); When the form is triggered it goes to a save.php page which contains and values inserted if($_POST['x']){ $xx = $_POST['x']; $yy = $_POST['y']; $zz = $_POST['z']; $query_one = "INSERT INTO xxx (x1,yl,z1,z2) values ('$xx','$yy','$zz','00000')"; mysql_select_db($database_1, $1); $Result = mysql_query($query_guest_one, $1) or die(mysql_error()); So far so good.     The following code tried to replace an existing method in a Groovy class: class A { void abc() { println "original" } } x= new A() x.abc() A.metaClass.abc={-> println "new" } x.abc() A.metaClass.methods.findAll{it.name=="abc"}.each { println "Method $it"} new A().abc() And it results in the following output: original original Method org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.metaclass.ClosureMetaMethod@103074e[name: abc params: [] returns: class java.lang.Object owner: class A] Method public void A.abc() new Does this mean that when modify the metaclass by setting it to closure, it doesn't really replace it but just adds another method it can call, thus resulting in metaclass having two methods? Is it possible to truly replace the method so the second line of output prints "new"? When trying to figure it out, I found that DelegatingMetaClass might help - is that the most Groovy way to do this?

There is no div used, this is the css style body{ background-position:center; background-image:url(../images/images2.jpg) no-repeat; } The above CSS tiles all over and does center it, but half the image is not seen, it just kind of moves up. What I want to do is center the image. Could I adopt the image to view even on a 21". Appreciate help. Thanks Jean

    Hello, I want to create a footer like facebook, that sticks at the bottom of the page, irrespective of the scroll. <div id="footer"></div> and here is the css style #footer{ position:absolute; left:0px; margin-bottom:0px; vertical-align:bottom; bottom:0px; width:100%; height:25px; background-color:#dfd5d7; overflow:hidden; } It comes fine, when I resize the browser window it does not stick to the bottom but a about 50 pixels up.     In my app, I have an external monitor that pings the app ever few minutes and measures its uptime / response time Every time the monitor connects, a new server session is created, so when I look at the number of sessions, it's always a minimum of 15, even during times where there are no actual users. I tried to address this with putting the session creation code into a filter, but that doesn't seem to do it - I guess session automatically gets created when the user opens the first page? all() { before = { if (actionName=='signin') { def session = request.session //creates session if not exists } } } I can configure the monitor to pass in a paramter if I need to (i.e. http://servername.com/?nosession, but not sure how to make sure the session isn't created.

  • Modifying object in AfterInsert / AfterUpdate

    I have a domain object that holds results of a calculation based on parameters that are properties of the same domain object. I'd like to make sure that any time parameters get changed by the user, it recalculates and gets saved properly into the database. I am trying to do that with afterInsert (to make sure calculation is correct in the first place), and afterUpdate. However, since my calculation is trying to modify the object itself, it's not working - throwing various hibernate exceptions. I tried to put the afterUpdate code into a transaction, but that didn't help. I am afraid I am getting into a circular dependency issues here. The exception I am getting right now is: org.hibernate.StaleObjectStateException: Row was updated or deleted by another transaction (or unsaved-value mapping was incorrect): [esc.scorecard.PropertyScorecard#27] Are the GORM events designed for simpler use cases? I am tempted to conclude that modifying the object you are in the middle of saving is not the way to go.
