  • Two DHCP Servers, Block Clients for one of them?

    - by Rilindo
    I am building out a kickstart network that resides on a different VLAN uses its own DHCP server. For some reason, my kickstart clients kept getting assign IPs from my primary DHCP server. The way I have it set up is that I have a primary DHCP server on this router here: 192.168.15.1 Connected to that DHCP server is a switch with the IP of 192.168.15.2. My kickstart (Scientific Linux) server is connected to that switch on two ports: Port 2 - where the kickstart server communicates to the rest of the production network via eth0. The IP assigned to the server on that interface is 192.168.15.100 (on eth0). The details are: Interface: eth0 IP: 192.168.15.100 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.15.1 Port 7 - has it's own VLAN ID (along with port 8). The kickstart server is connected to that port with the IP of 172.16.15.100 (on eth1). Again, the details are: Interface: eth1 IP: 172.16.15.100 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: none The kickstart server runs its own DHCP server and assigns them over the eth1. Most of the kick starts are built over the kickstart VLAN through port 8. To prevent the kickstart DHCP server from assigning addresses over the production network, I have the route setup like so: route add -host 255.255.255.255 dev eth1 At this point, the clients kept getting assign IPs from the 192.168.15.1 DHCP server. I need to figure out a way to block client requests from reaching that DHCP. Its should be noted that but I also build KVM hosts on the kickstart server as well, so I need those KVMs to have the ability to get DHCP requests from the 192.168.15.1 DHCP server via the bridge network once I finish resolved this particular problem. (Currently, they communicate via NAT). So what would be done to resolve this? Through iptables or some sort of routing I need to put in? I tried to limited to requests via IPtables on that interface, allowing DHCP requests for 172.16.15.x network: -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 69 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 69 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 68 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 68 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 67 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth1 -s 172.16.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 67 -j ACCEPT And rejects assignments on eth1 from 192.168.15.x network: -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 69 -j REJECT -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 69 -j REJECT -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 68 -j REJECT -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 68 -j REJECT -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p udp -m udp --dport 67 -j REJECT -A FORWARD -o eth1 -s 192.168.15.0/24 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 67 -j REJECT Nope. :(

  • QNAP (469L) with Debian: can't connect to router

    - by agtoever
    I've been running my QNAP 469L with Debian (Wheezy deb7u3) for a few months. Yesterday I upgraded the memory to 4 GB. The system boots fine, but since the upgrade, I'm not able to connect the server to my router (a TP-Link WR941ND). My configuration: The router runs a DHCP server (192.168.67.100 and up), with a preconfigured ip address for the QNAP (192.168.67.10). The router is on 192.168.67.1. As said, Debian is installed on the QNAP (which can be regarded as a normal computer). Networking hardware on the QNAP: Intel PRO/1000 Network Connection using the e1000e kernel module. This is what I have tried so far: Replace the network cable (tried 3 different cables on different router ports). Check for messages from the kernel: dmesg | grep eth. Besides the normal hardware messages I get a ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready for each call to ifup. Manually restart the network sudo server networking restart Check sudo ifconfig (eth0 is up, but no ip addresses). Check the /etc/network/interfaces which has (besides the loopback device) an allow-hotplug eth0 and iface eth0 inet dhcp, which is afaik the default Debian configuration. Since the server has two ethernet ports, I checked if I'm using the right port (checked the hardware address that ifconfig reports for eth0 is the same as the hardware address that is in the preconfigured ip address for the server in the router. Do a manual sudo ifdown eth0 && sudo ifup eth0 with no results (but an extra ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready in the kernel log) Do a dhcp request dhclient -v eth0: for about a minute requests are send (according to the terminal) and at the end I get a No DHCPOFFERS received. No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.. Check the router system log if DHCP requests are received. I see them for some devices (my Mac, my iPhone) but not from the QNAP. The log entry looks like: DHCPS:Recv REQUEST from 84:85:06:07:75:6A and then a DHCPS:Send ACK to 192.168.67.101. There are no records from the QNAP's hardware address. So the two error messages that I do get are: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready for every ifup and No DHCPOFFERS received. No working leases in persistent database - sleeping. for every DHCP call.

  • AJAX response inside jqplot not working

    - by JuanGesino
    I'm trying to render data from an AJAX response as a bar chart with jqplot. To render this bar chart I use two variables: s1 which contains the numbers ex: s1 = [22,67,32,89] ticks which contains the name corresponding to a number inside s1 ex: ticks = ["Jack", "Mary", "Paul", "John"] So my AJAX returns two variables, data1 and data2. When I console.log(data1) I get 22,67,32,89 When I console.log(data2) I get "Jack", "Mary", "Paul", "John" I then add the square brackets and change variable: s1 = [data1] ticks = [data2] When I console.log(s1) I get ["22,67,32,89"] When I console.log(ticks) I get "Jack", "Mary", "Paul", "John" And the graph does not render, this is my code: s1 = [data]; ticks = [data]; plot4 = $.jqplot('chartdiv4', [s1], { animate: !$.jqplot.use_excanvas, series:[{color:'#5FAB78'}], seriesDefaults:{ renderer:$.jqplot.BarRenderer, pointLabels: { show: true } }, axes: { xaxis: { renderer: $.jqplot.CategoryAxisRenderer, ticks: ticks }, yaxis:{min:0, max:100, label:'%',labelRenderer: $.jqplot.CanvasAxisLabelRenderer} }, highlighter: { show: false } }); });

  • How to read msmq messages (me, not the pc)

    - by illdev
    I want to look inside my queues, the msm console snapin has this property dialog, but it is very difficult to read and the messages which are important to me are encoded and look like this: 3C 3F 78 6D 6C 20 76 65 <?xml ve 72 73 69 6F 6E 3D 22 31 rsion="1 2E 30 22 20 65 6E 63 6F .0" enco 64 69 6E 67 3D 22 75 74 ding="ut 66 2D 38 22 3F 3E 0D 0A f-8"?>.. 3C 65 73 62 3A 6D 65 73 <esb:mes 73 61 67 65 73 20 78 6D sages xm 6C 6E 73 3A 65 73 62 3D lns:esb= 22 68 74 74 70 3A 2F 2F "http:// 73 65 72 76 69 63 65 62 serviceb 75 73 2E 68 69 62 65 72 us.hiber 6E 61 74 69 6E 67 72 68 natingrh ... Anyone knows of a tool that would allow me to see my messages in a bit developer friendly way? A tool for easier administering queues would come handy to (like selecting multiple messages and drag and drop them)

  • Emulator batteryService not working

    - by user568551
    So i've got a 1.6 emulator running. I have a receiver with action power connected and disconnected filters. when i connect to the emulator through telnet and issue the power ac on or power ac off command, logcat shows: 01-11 21:33:01.096: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/usb/online' 01-11 21:33:01.104: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_vol' 01-11 21:33:01.104: ERROR/BatteryService(67): Could not open '/sys/class/power_supply/battery/batt_temp' and my receiver does not get activated. It was working just fine yesterday and now it does not. I tried reinstalling the AVD, and also deleted and reinstalled the SDK from the SDK manager. Works fine in my 2.2 emulator. Any ideas?

  • Converting an IP address to a number:

    - by Quandary
    Question: When I convert the IP address 192.168.115.67 to a number, is it done like this: 192*256^3 + 168*256^2+115*256^1+67*256^0 = 3232265027 or like this: 192*256^0 + 168*256^1+115*256^2+67*256^3 = 1131653312 I find both variants online, and frankly it doesn't matter as long as reverse it according to the conversion process. But I want to calculate the IP V6 from the IPv4 address, and it seems both variants are on the web... resulting in different IPv6 addresses, and only one can be correct... I use the 1131653312 variant, as 1131653312 is the variant .NET gives me, but 3232265027 is the variant I find on the web for IPv4 to IPv6 conversion...

  • How can I sum a group of sums? SQL-Sever 2008

    - by billynomates
    I have a query with a sum in it like this: SELECT Table1.ID, SUM(Table2.[Number1] + Table2.[Number2]) AS SumColumn FROM Table1 INNER JOIN Table3 ON Table1.ID = Table3.ID INNER JOIN Table2 ON Table3.ID = Table2.ID WHERE (Table2.[Something] = 'Whatever') GROUP BY Table1.ID, Table2.[Number1] , Table2.[Number2] and it gives me a table like this: ID SumColumn 67 1 67 4 70 2 70 6 70 3 70 6 80 5 97 1 97 3 How can I make it give me a table like this, where the SumColumn is summed, grouped by the ID column? ID SumColumn 67 5 70 17 80 5 97 4 I cannot GROUP BY SumColumn because I get an error (Invalid column name 'SumColumn'.) COALESCE doesn't work either. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Just grouping by the ID gives me an error: [Number1, Number2 and the other column names that I'm selecting] is invalid in the select list because it is not contained in either an aggregate function or the GROUP BY clause.

  • Recovering from apt-get upgrade gone wrong due to a full disk

    - by Peter
    I was performing an apt-get upgrade on an Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS box that hadn't been updated in a little while and the upgrade failed due to 'No space left on device'. After a little while I worked out space meant inodes and I have freed some up but unfortunately things have been left something askew. I have tried manually installing the old versions of packages mentioned using dpkg -i but that doesn't help. I have tried apt-get upgrade and apt-get -f install to no avail. Results are below. Any ideas how to fix things up? FIXED: Installing the earlier versions again manually via dpkg -i and then apt-get -f install has done the trick. Not sure why this didn't work the first time. • algorithm for project euler problem no 18

    - by Valentino Ru
    Problem number 18 from Project Euler's site is as follows: By starting at the top of the triangle below and moving to adjacent numbers on the row below, the maximum total from top to bottom is 23. 3 7 4 2 4 6 8 5 9 3 That is, 3 + 7 + 4 + 9 = 23. Find the maximum total from top to bottom of the triangle below: 75 95 64 17 47 82 18 35 87 10 20 04 82 47 65 19 01 23 75 03 34 88 02 77 73 07 63 67 99 65 04 28 06 16 70 92 41 41 26 56 83 40 80 70 33 41 48 72 33 47 32 37 16 94 29 53 71 44 65 25 43 91 52 97 51 14 70 11 33 28 77 73 17 78 39 68 17 57 91 71 52 38 17 14 91 43 58 50 27 29 48 63 66 04 68 89 53 67 30 73 16 69 87 40 31 04 62 98 27 23 09 70 98 73 93 38 53 60 04 23 NOTE: As there are only 16384 routes, it is possible to solve this problem by trying every route. However, Problem 67, is the same challenge with a triangle containing one-hundred rows; it cannot be solved by brute force, and requires a clever method! ;o) The formulation of this problems does not make clear if the "Traversor" is greedy, meaning that he always choosed the child with be higher value the maximum of every single walkthrough is asked The NOTE says, that it is possible to solve this problem by trying every route. This means to me, that is is also possible without! This leads to my actual question: Assumed that not the greedy one is the max, is there any algorithm that finds the max walkthrough value without trying every route and that doesn't act like the greedy algorithm? I implemented an algorithm in Java, putting the values first in a node structure, then applying the greedy algorithm. The result, however, is cosidered as wrong by Project Euler. sum = 0; void findWay(Node node){ sum += node.value; if(node.nodeLeft != null && node.nodeRight != null){ if(node.nodeLeft.value > node.nodeRight.value){ findWay(node.nodeLeft); }else{ findWay(node.nodeRight); } } }

  • VM can't ping LAN name but sees it via nslookup

    - by amphibient
    I am trying to connect to a network resource from my 10.04.4 VM (VMware Fusion) but the destination is unreachable by name. What is weird is that the name is visible in DNS: >nslookup my.name Server: 123.45.67.89 Address: 123.45.67.89#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: my.name Address: 10.20.30.40 I can reach it (via ping) by the IP address (10.20.30.40) but not the name and I thought that was weird because the DNS clearly resolves the name. What can I do to enable access to this resource via the name?

  • IP/PORT forward requests to another server

    - by DT.DTDG
    I have the following listening PORT:IP set up on my UBuntu server. 12.345.67.890:3636 It receives requests perfectly, however, I would now like to forward any requests to that IP:PORT to another IP:PORT, i.e.: 09.876.54.321:3636 Essentially I want to do a request forward 12.345.67.890:3636 -> 09.876.54.321:3636. How can I go about it in Terminal and if I wanted to change it back how can I go about that too? Is there also a way to test that the data is forwarding and it is setup properly? Thanks! Edit: Can I just do as follows, just wondering how I would go about testing it and how I could disable it? sysctl net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 3636 -j DNAT --to-destination 09.876.54.321:3636 iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -j MASQUERADE

  • How can I reset addAttributeToFilter in Magento searches

    - by Bobby
    I'm having problems getting the addAttributeToFilter function within a loop to behave in Magento. I have test data in my store to support searches for all of the following data; $attributeSelections=array( array('size' => 44, 'color' => 67, 'manufacturer' => 17), array('size' => 43, 'color' => 69, 'manufacturer' => 17), array('size' => 42, 'color' => 70, 'manufacturer' => 17)); And my code to search through these combinations; foreach ($attributeSelections as $selection) { $searcher = Mage::getSingleton('catalogsearch/advanced')->getProductCollection(); foreach ($selection as $k => $v) { $searcher->addAttributeToFilter("$k", array('eq' => "$v")); echo "$k: $v<br />"; } $result=$searcher->getData(); print_r($result); } This loop gives the following results (slightly sanitised for veiwing pleasure); size: 44 color: 67 manufacturer: 17 Array ( [0] => Array ( [entity_id] => 2965 [entity_type_id] => 4 [attribute_set_id] => 28 [type_id] => simple [sku] => 1006-0001 [size] => 44 [color] => 67 [manufacturer] => 17 ) ) size: 43 color: 69 manufacturer: 17 Array ( [0] => Array ( [entity_id] => 2965 [entity_type_id] => 4 [attribute_set_id] => 28 [type_id] => simple [sku] => 1006-0001 [size] => 44 [color] => 67 [manufacturer] => 17 ) ) size: 42 color: 70 manufacturer: 17 Array ( [0] => Array ( [entity_id] => 2965 [entity_type_id] => 4 [attribute_set_id] => 28 [type_id] => simple [sku] => 1006-0001 [size] => 44 [color] => 67 [manufacturer] => 17 ) ) So my loop is function and generating the search. However, the values fed into addAttributeToFilter on the first itteration of the loop seem to remain stored for each search. I've tried clearing my search object, for example, unset($searcher) and unset($result). I've also tried magento functions such as getNewEmptyItem(), resetData(), distinct() and clear() but none have the desired effect. Basically what I am trying to do is check for duplicate products before my script attempts to programatically create a product with these attribute combinations. The array of attribute selections may be of varying sizes hence the need for a loop. I would be very appreiciative if anyone might be able to shed some light on my problem.

  • Why does iOS 5 fail to connect to a server running JDK 1.6, but not JDK 1.5

    - by KC Baltz
    We have a Java Socket Server listening on an SSLSocket (port 443) and an iOS application that connects with it. When running on iOS 5.1, the application stopped working when we upgraded the Java version of the server from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 (or 1.7). The app connects just fine to JDK 5 and 6 when running on iOS 6. The iOS app is reporting an error: -9809 = errSSLCrypto. On the Java side, we get javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: close_notify. On the Java server side, we have enabled all the available cipher suites. On the client side we have tested enabling several different suites, although we have yet to complete a test involving each one individually enabled. Right now, it is failing when we use TLS_DH_anon_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA although it has failed with others and we are starting to think it's not the suite. Here is the debug output. that is download with the following command, why it fails to download that file? wget http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/6u35-b10/jdk-6u35-linux-i586.bin the following command works, but that AuthParam may not work after a while, why? wget http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/6u35-b10/jdk-6u35-linux-i586.bin?AuthParam=1346955572_27e44512fe8ef5cb920c4c329e5f0fd8 how this AuthParam option is implemented? why i cannot download without this parameter? and why i can only get this parameter using explorer? is rewrite used in the oracle server when deal with wget request? why the same command not works after an hour, does the value of AuthParam expired? so how the server check whether the value of AuthParam is expired? wget http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/6u35-b10/jdk-6u35-linux-i586.bin?AuthParam=1346955572_27e44512fe8ef5cb920c4c329e5f0fd8 --2012-09-07 03:51:01-- http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/6u35-b10/jdk-6u35-linux-i586.bin?AuthParam=1346955572_27e44512fe8ef5cb920c4c329e5f0fd8 Resolving download.oracle.com... 23.67.251.50, 23.67.251.57 Connecting to download.oracle.com|23.67.251.50|:80... connected. • OpenVPN + iptables / NAT routing

    - by Mikeage
    Hi, I'm trying to set up an OpenVPN VPN, which will carry some (but not all) traffic from the clients to the internet via the OpenVPN server. My OpenVPN server has a public IP on eth0, and is using tap0 to create a local network, 192.168.2.x. I have a client which connects from local IP 192.168.1.101 and gets VPN IP 192.168.2.3. On the server, I ran: iptables -A INPUT -i tap+ -j ACCEPT iptables -A FORWARD -i tap+ -j ACCEPT iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.2.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE On the client, the default remains to route via 192.168.1.1. In order to point it to 192.168.2.1 for HTTP, I ran ip rule add fwmark 0x50 table 200 ip route add table 200 default via 192.168.2.1 iptables -t mangle -A OUTPUT -j MARK -p tcp --dport 80 --set-mark 80 Now, if I try accessing a website on the client (say, wget google.com), it just hangs there. On the server, I can see $ sudo tcpdump -n -i tap0 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on tap0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes 05:39:07.928358 IP 192.168.1.101.34941 > 74.125.67.100.80: S 4254520618:4254520618(0) win 5840 <mss 1334,sackOK,timestamp 558838 0,nop,wscale 5> 05:39:10.751921 IP 192.168.1.101.34941 > 74.125.67.100.80: S 4254520618:4254520618(0) win 5840 <mss 1334,sackOK,timestamp 559588 0,nop,wscale 5> Where 74.125.67.100 is the IP it gets for google.com . Why isn't the MASQUERADE working? More precisely, I see that the source showing up as 192.168.1.101 -- shouldn't there be something to indicate that it came from the VPN? Edit: Some routes [from the client] $ ip route show table main 192.168.2.0/24 dev tap0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.2.4 192.168.1.0/24 dev wlan0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.1.101 metric 2 169.254.0.0/16 dev wlan0 scope link metric 1000 default via 192.168.1.1 dev wlan0 proto static $ ip route show table 200 default via 192.168.2.1 dev tap0

I have an input file like: 1 3 9 13 23 25 34 36 38 40 52 54 59 2 3 9 14 23 26 34 36 39 40 52 55 59 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 99 108 114 2 4 9 15 23 27 34 36 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 99 108 115 1 25 34 36 38 41 52 54 59 63 67 76 85 86 90 93 98 107 113 2 3 9 16 24 28 2 3 10 14 23 26 34 36 39 41 52 55 59 63 67 76 Lines of different number of integers separated by a space. I would like to parse them in an array, and separate each line with a marker, let say -1. The difficulty is that I must handle integers and line returns. Here my existing code, it loops upon the scanf loop (because scanf can not begin at a given position). #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main(int argc, char **argv) { if (argc != 4) { fprintf(stderr, "Usage: %s <data file> <nb transactions> <nb items>\n", argv[0]); return 1; } FILE * file; file = fopen (argv[1],"r"); if (file==NULL) { fprintf(stderr, "Error: can not open %s\n", argv[1]); fclose(file); return 1; } int nb_trans = atoi(argv[2]); int nb_items = atoi(argv[3]); int *bdd = malloc(sizeof(int) * (nb_trans + nb_items)); char line[1024]; int i = 0; while ( fgets(line, 1024, file) ) { int item; while ( sscanf (line, "%d ", &item )){ printf("%s %d %d\n", line, i, item); bdd[i++] = item; } bdd[i++] = -1; } for ( i = 0; i < nb_trans + nb_items; i++ ) { printf("%d ", bdd[i]); } printf("\n"); }

  • How to ANSI-C cast from unisigned int * to char *?

    - by user314290
    I want these two print functions to do the same thing: unsigned int Arraye[] = {0xffff,0xefef,65,66,67,68,69,0}; char Arrage[] = {0xffff,0xefef,65,66,67,68,69,0}; printf("%s", (char*)(2+ Arraye)); printf("%s", (char*)(2+ Arrage)); where Array is an unsigned int. Normally, I would change the type but, the problem is that most of the array is numbers, although the particular section should be printed as ASCII.
