  • Asynchronous Request make for-Loop waiting for didFinishLoading

    Hey guys, I have a asynchronous url request within a for loop. This loop is called 20 times, each time one parameter of the webaddress is changed. Everytime the didFinishLoading method is called I want to hand over the data of this specific webadress. The problem now is that when I run the for loop, the didFinishLoading method is not called, only at the end. Any suggenstions on how to make the loop wait for complete loading the data for the specific URL? Thanks a lot.

    I'm trying to write from a loop to a data frame in R, for example a loop like this for (i in 1:20) { print(c(i+i,i*i,i/1))} and to write each line of 3 values to a data frame with three columns, so that each iteration takes on a new row. I've tried using matrix, with ncol=3 and filled by rows, but only get the last item from the loop. Thanks.

    I'm pretty new to Joins so hope this all makes sense. I'm joining 4 tables and want to create a while loop that spits out results nested under different categories.   • Java - 'continue' loop iteration after certain timeout period

    Is there a way to exit ('continue;') a loop iteration after a certain timeout period? I have a loop that will run gathering data from the web and then use this data to make a calculation. The data become obsolete after about 1 to 2 seconds so if the loop iteration takes longer than 1 second then i want it to 'continue' to the next iteration. Sometimes gathering the data can take time but sometimes the calculation can take longer than 1 second so a HTTP timeout won't work for what i need. Also, while doing the calculation the thread i am using is blocked so i cannot check System.currentTimeMillis(); Is there a way to use another Thread to check the time and force the original for loop to continue.

  • Why does this game loop stop my process from responding?

    I implemented a fixed time step loop for my C# game. All it does at the moment is make a square bounce around the screen. The problem I'm having is that when I execute the program, I can't close it from the window's close button and the cursor is stuck on the "busy" icon. I have to go into Visual Studio and stop the program manually.   • Coldfusion autorestart

    Coldfusion is automatically restarting, a lot. It comes in waves, everything seems fine for a while then the server struggles for a few minutes, restarts a lot then settles down again. I have Fusion Reactor installed, but when CF goes down FR stops logging so it's not really helping. Looking through the archived logs just shows gaps in the logs. These are all the occourances of the phrase "Coldfusion started" today. Looking at the logs for the hour between 9am and 10am (more than 15 restarts in the hour), the CPU never went over 44% usage and the Memory never exceeded 53% usage - in the recorded stats at least. There is no JDBC tracking at the moment, so I'll add that to tracking and see if it's MySQL causing a problem, but can anyone help me narrow down the problem, what would cause Cold Fusion to auto restart, and I'm assuming the auto restart is only happening because Fusion Reactor is installed. It's a Red Hat 5 LAMP stack running Coldfusion 9 and Fusion Reactor 4.5.2

I was unable to login, as whenever I hit enter after entering password, it is taking me straight to login screen again.I unable to login like Guest even.     We have one domain and one sub-domain. Until last week both of them appear in first page of Google search for very important keyword. Unfortunately Google dropped our main domain from search results. our main site has been in first page for 5 years! About one year ago we build this sub-domain. It simply has been redirected to one of pages of main domain. For solving problem we upload a independent site for sub-domain because we guessed that Google think this is our main page of our site. But problem did not solved. What should we do? our main site offer main services and we we want that will be on first page. Shout down sub-domain? Redirect to main site? Put the link of our main site in sub-domain? (About one year ago we put link of this sub-domain to our main site. Google indexed it and continuously bring that to top.) changing in robots.txt ....

  • opening adobe reader results in infinite explorer.exe process creation loop

    First, apologies if the answer to this is only a Google away. I tried, honest I did. But I wasn't able to find anything about this problem posted elsewhere. I'm using Adobe Reader v9.3.2 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. If you want more system details, then just request them. What happens is that when I attempt to open a PDF by clicking "Open" on it then (1) adobe reader never opens and (2) the explorer.exe program is (apparently) recursively opened. I base this on opening the Task Manager and seeing a long list of explorer.exe processes under the "Processes" tab. Usually there is only one. When I recreate this problem, the list of explorer.exe processes are at least a page or two long. (Too many to bother counting). I "correct" this problem by logging off and then logging back on. This kills all the explorer.exe tasks. Unfortunately I don't know another way to terminate them all. Now here's the curious part. This only happens when I attempt to "Open" a PDF file. If instead I use the context menu (right mouse click on the PDF) and select "Open with" and "Adobe Reader 9.3" then Adobe Reader opens the file with no problem. It seems that there is something wrong with the setting for the default open action for PDF files. However, I have been unable to fix this by changing the Windows setting. Here is what I have tried. When I open Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Default Programs > Set Associations I do not find an entry for file type .pdf. There are only entries for .pdfxml and .pdx. When use "Open with" on a PDF file and select "Choose default program", the check box for "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is disabled (greyed out). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader but the problem persists. While obviously no lives are at stake here, this problem is annoying the frickin' heck out of me. If I forget and recreate this bug then I have to stop everything I'm doing to stop it. Any suggestions on how I might go about fixing this?

I know how to do this in various programming languages but cannot manage to get it right on the windows command line :-( I would expect something like either for(int i = 0; i < 100; i++) { // do something } or even this (though not entirely seriously) 1.upto(100, { // do something }) Thanks! EDIT I can write a program in java, perl, c or whatever that will generate a bat script that looks like this for %%N in (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12) do echo %%N and so on. Or even "better": echo 1 echo 2 echo 3 echo 4 echo 5 echo 6 echo 7 echo 8 echo 9 echo 10 echo 11 echo 12 and then execute it... But the thing is that I need a concise way to specify a range of numbers to iterate through within the script. Thanks!

    Hello, I'm designing event loop for asynchronous socket IO using epoll/devpoll/kqueue/poll/select (including windows-select). I have two options of performing, IO operation: Non-blocking mode, poll on EAGAIN Set socket to non-blocking mode. Read/Write to socket. If operation succeeds, post completion notification to event loop. If I get EAGAIN, add socket to "select list" and poll socket. Polling mode: poll and then execute Add socket to select list and poll it. Wait for notification that it is readable writable read/write Post completion notification to event loop of sucseeds To me it looks like first would require less system calls when using in normal mode, especially for writing to socket (buffers are quite big). Also it looks like that it would be possible to reduce the overhead over number of "select" executions, especially it is nice when you do not have something that scales well as epoll/devpoll/kqueue. Questions: Are there any advantages of the second approach? Are there any portability issues with non-blocking operations on sockets/file descriptors over numerous operating systems: Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, MacOSX, Windows. Notes: Please do not suggest using existing event-loop/socket-api implementations

  • loop prematurely quitting

    This loop works fine but prematurely quits at times. I set a piece of code in it so that I can view the random number. It only closes prematurely when the random number is equal to the highest numbered question the user inputs (Example...a user wants 10 questions, if the random number is 10 the program quits.)
