• What is the easiest way to scale a Quicktime MOV to a different size in Windows?

  I've tried a ffmpeg, and it doesn't know how to read Quicktime MOV, neither does VirtualDub. Avidemux crashes when I open the Quicktime MOV. In Linux, I'd just use MEncoder, but I'm telling someone over the phone how to resize this 1080p MOV file, so having them use MEncoder in a command shell would be annoying. Any ideas?

• Windows Vista Windows Explorer randomly hiding columns

  Sometimes on my 64bit Vista machine, Windows Explorer hides all but the "Name" column. It also forgets that on the Desktop view, it's supposed to show in "Tile" view.
