• Nginx + PHP-FPM Too Many Resources

  My Server has the following Specs CPU: 6 Cores Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz RAM: 32 GB I have a problem with nginx+php-fpm. They are taking too many resources for an unknown reason. Even if i restart the nginx + php-fpm the start up processes will use many resources. My nginx Config is the following: user nginx; worker_processes auto; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log warn; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; worker_rlimit_nofile 300000; events { worker_connections 6000; use epoll; } http { include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; log_format main '$remote_addr - $remote_user [$time_local] "$request" ' '$status $body_bytes_sent "$http_referer" ' '"$http_user_agent" "$http_x_forwarded_for"'; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log main; sendfile on; #tcp_nopush on; keepalive_timeout 65; #gzip on; include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; } My php-fpm pool config is the following [www] user = nginx group = nginx listen = /var/run/php5-fpm.sock listen.owner = nginx listen.group = nginx listen.allowed_clients = 127.0.0.1 pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 1500; pm.process_idle_timeout = 5; chdir = / security.limit_extensions = .php I'm using on pm.ondemand since my website has to support many concurrent connections at the same time and i was unable to to it with dynamic/static. I guess this isnt the problem because as i said earlier when i restart nginx+php-fpm at the same time, they are taking too much resources without any request. • Launchd agent not starting

  I'm attempting to write a launchd agent that runs a simple application for every user that logs in to the Mac OS X system. I have created a file named com.mycompany.myapp.plist and placed it in /Library/LaunchAgents. The contents of that file are: { LimitLoadToSessionType = "Aqua"; StartInterval = 10; OnDemand = NO; KeepAlive = YES; RunAtLoad = YES; Label = "com.mycompany.myapp"; Program = "/Users/thomi/myapp"; ProgramArguments = ( "/Users/thomi/myapp", "-l", "-d", ); } Initially I didn't have the StartInterval key set, since I thought the agent would start automatically. The problem is that the agent does not start unless I manually issue the following two commands: launchctl load -S Aqua -D all launchctl start com.mycompany.myapp Firther, when I run launchctl list com.mycompany.myapp I get the following output: { "Label" = "com.mycompany.myapp"; "LimitLoadToSessionType" = "System"; "OnDemand" = true; "LastExitStatus" = 0; "TimeOut" = 30; "Program" = "/Users/thomi/myapp"; ProgramArguments = ( "/Users/thomi/myapp", "-l", "-d", ); }; Notice that the LimitLoadToSessionType parameter has changed. Am I missing something here? Is there a different mechanism to start agents like this? Why has the LimitLoadToSessionType property changed?

• ICS attachments disappear after migrating to exchange 2007

  We currently have a small c# script that pulls a calendar appointment from Siebel OnDemand and mails it out to our users using smtp. This all worked before we migrated some users to Exchange 2007 this weekend. Now the .ics calendar file doesn't show up for those that have been migrated but still show up for those who haven't. The Exchange team says there isn't a problem with our servers. Has anyone seen this type of problem? Any solutions?

• Windows 7 and laptop overheating

  I am using ArchLinux 99% of my working time, and laptop has absolutely no heating problems. But when it comes to using Windows 7, laptop starts heating and one can clearly hear CPU fan working like crazy. I think it has something to do with CPU itself, because on Linux I can simply manipulate with CPU governors (eg. set it to ondemand), but I can't seem to find any similar software to do the same thing as if in Linux. Or, the heating might be caused because of two graphics cards or something? CPU-Z results http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2310815 Any idea/solution regarding this issue?
