  • Unix Shell/SSH config to allow TCP port forwarding without showing a command prompt

    I'm running a Debian Linux. I'd like to have a user account that is able to connect via SSH for TCP-forwarding only, without a command prompt. e.g the following would work (from a remote computer): ssh -D1234 user@myhost but no command prompt would appear. Using a shell like /bin/false or /sbin/nologin is too restrictive as it doesn't even allow the user to log in. A shell that only allows the "exit" or Ctrl+D commands would do the job. I know that something similar is possible to allow only SFTP, but I can't find the equivalent for TCP forwarding. Thanks

    I used to get disponibility of heading on iphone OS 3.1.3 checking headingAvailable property. But in OS 4.0 it has been deprecated. Now we have to use headingAvailable function. My problem is that I get a : warning: 'headingAvailable' is deprecated when I call the function : if([locationManager headingAvailable]) [locationManager startUpdatingHeading]; I realy want to understand why?!

  • AuthSub token from Google/YouTube API is always returned as invalid

    Anyone out there have experience with the YouTube/Google API? I am trying to login to Google/Youtube using clientLogin, retrieve an AuthSub token, exchange it for a multi-session token and then use it in our upload form. Just a note that we are not going to have other users logging into our (secure) website, this is for our use only (no multi-users). We just want a way to upload videos to our YT account via our own website without having to login/upload to YouTube. Ultimately, everything is dependent on the first step. My AuthSub token is always being returned as invalid (Error '403'). All the steps I used are below with username/password changed. Anyone have an insight on why my AuthSub is always invalid? I am spending an enormous amount of time trying to get this to work.   • OnmouseMove not work with SetTimeOut and Alerts in Chome

    What's wrong with this code? It works in IE and FireFox, but Chrome does not work. The idea is that the function fnTimeOut will be triggered in 5 seconds after onmousemove. It´s ok. But when, in Chrome, I click on the button "ok" to function fnAlert is triggered instantly.     I have a UITextField in my IB and I want to check out if the user entered only numbers (no char)and get the integer value. I get the integer value of the UITextField like that : int integer = [myUITexrtField.text intValue]; When I put a character ( , ; . ) it return me 0 and I don't know how to detect that it is not only numbers. How can I do?

    Am facing a bit of trouble getting the 'combined fragment' to sit above an activation (in a sequence diagram). On adding a 'combined fragment' (loop/alt/opt etc) to a section of the sequence diagram, the label and the guard condition appear 'under' the activation block and hence is obscured. Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi, I am trying get float value with UITextField. On the simulator V3.1.3 in English, I have to use '.' to separate my float values. But on my Iphone 3GS V3.1.3 in French, I have to use ',' to separate them. If I use '.' on my Iphone 3GS, my float is troncated : 3.22222 = 3.0000000 Is there a solution to detect the language version and use the good separator automaticaly?

    I'm using a class that extends BytecodeScanningDetector to check for some problematic fields in a class. After detecting whether the field is problematic, I add it to the bug report like below: Once I run findbugs, it identifies the bug, lists it in the left pane, but does not highlight the corresponding source line.   • Carrier Wave not completing upload to Rackspace Cloud Files

    Hello, I have been attempting to get file uploads to Rackspace Cloud Files online all night, and finally tried the Carrierwave Plugin. Although the plugin worked right away, when I tried viewing the file uploaded (an image) it was broken. Upon further testing, I found out that files would upload to Cloud Files, however were just a fraction of their original size. I can't seem to figure out what's worng, and any help would be greatly appreciated.   • @font-face Not Working on Other Computers

    Hey Guys, I've been working on my first HTML5/CSS3 site, and it's been going well for the most part. Totally loving the new @font-face property, and it works perfectly on my machine. The problem I'm having is when previewed on another device (computer, ipad, iphone), it doesn't seem to be recognising the @font-face property and uses the fallback font instead.   • How can Perl's XML::Simple ignore HTML embedded in XML?

    I have an XML file that I am pulling from the web and parsing. One of the items in the XML is a 'content' value that has HTML. I am using XML::Simple::XMLin to parse the file like so: $xml= eval { $data->XMLin($xmldata, forcearray => 1, suppressempty=> +'') }; When I use Data::Dumper to dump the hash, I discovered that SimpleXML is parsing the HTML into the hash tree: 'content' = { 'div' = [ { 'xmlns' = 'http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml', 'p' = [ { 'a' = [ { 'href' = 'http://miamiherald.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451b26169e20133ec6f4491970b-pi', 'style' = 'FLOAT: left', 'img' = [ etc..... This is not what I want. I want to just grab content inside of this entry. How do I do this?

    Hi, I have a strange problem with a UIView : I want to show an Activity Indicator View that I created with Interface Builder to indicate long running activity. In the viewDidLoad function of my principal viewController I init the ActivityIndicator View like this : - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; appDelegate = (MyAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; load = [[ActivityIndicatorViewController alloc] init]; ... When I push a button it call this IBAction : - (IBAction)LaunchButtonPressed{ // Show the Activity indicator view. [self.view addSubview:load.view]; // eavy work [self StartWorking]; // Hide the loading view. [load.view removeFromSuperview]; } In the StartWorking function, I ask a request to an internet serveur and parse the XML file that it return me. The problem is that if I Call my StartWorking function, the application do not start by showing the Activity Indicator view but with the StartWorking function. Whereas if I remove the call to StartWorking function, the view is shown. Is someone able to explain me why? :s

    Hi, I have been programming with NSXMLParser for quite a while and lately, I came out with this error. The strangiest thing is that it only happens in debug mode. Once I load the App in Simulator and run it from Simulator (without Xcode involved), it runs fine. The code is very straight foward, it is a simple XML parsing whose contents were loaded from the web in a separated thread. Does anybody have alredy encoutered that error?? Thanks in advance.

  • Using layout view in Express with Consolidate and Mustache

    I just started going through Node using Express and finally got Consolidate JS working properly to use Mustache as the templating view system per the instructions on the Consolidate JS Github page. Mustache is loading properly, but I'm now wondering how to include the layout file along in the rendering of the template. The default Jade system loads the content of the .render method inside of the layout.jade file. I'm just wondering how to do the same, but with Mustache. Any help is greatly appreciated!   • the MVCC effect on migration from oracle to db2

    I have a simple (actually simplified :) ) scenario that is possibly the cause for the headache I've been having for the last few days... My current application (that serves 100's of users) currently uses Oracle as the database. I have no stored procs (I wish actually). Now, I've been asked if the product will work if I migrate to IBM DB2 as the database. So, after taking Oracle for granted all this while.... and having re-read Tom's article on MVCC (Multiversion Concurrency Control) and going through this post stating that DB2 is not 'on the list' or 'just tip-toeing in the area' as it were... I know I can't be sure that the product will work with DB2 as is. Is there no hope.. or is there a nice disclaimer I could use.. ?

  • Saving a bitmap to a Memorystream produces an inverted colors image

    I've created an image with GDI+ on my application and now I must convert this image to an array of bytes. My first thought was this simple code: public byte[] ToByte() { MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(); bitmap.Save(ms, ImageFormat.Bmp); return ms.GetBuffer(); } The problem with this approach is that when I finally save this image into a file the colors are inverted. What I'm I doing wrong?
