  • iphone doesn't refresh the localized icon after you change language setting !

    Hi, I manage to localized app icon and app name for different languages.I found the icon changes depending on the language setting on the iphone only when the first time when you install the app from xcode. after that, if i change the language setting, the app icon stay the same but only the app name changes to the localized one. Anyone has an idea is there is way of solving the problem? it seems iphone doens't refresh the icon after you change the language setting. Tony

  • Updating version of multiple components using 1 file in c#

    Hello, I have a solution with many components and each component has its own version file (AssemblyInfo.cs). Currently each file as the standard structure: [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.0.0")] [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.0")] I would like to use the file version as the component version and keep that independent but I would like to have the "Product Version" be the same for all the components. I would like to do that by having a file at the solution level that is used by all the projects to get that version embedded. Any suggestions Thanks Tony

  • Linux Kernel not upgraded (from Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10) - can't remove old kernels and can't install new apps

    Question: How do I remove old kernel images which refuse to be removed? Context: Yesterday I upgraded Ubuntu from 12.04 to 12.10.     There was a spring in the step of some members of our development teams here at Red Gate, on hearing that on five gold awards at 2012′s SQL Mag Community and Editors Choice Awards. And why not? It’s a nice recognition that their efforts were appreciated by many in the SQL Server community. The team at Simple-Talk don’t tend to spring, but even we felt a twinge of pride in the fact that SQL Scripts Manager received Gold for Editor’s Choice in the Best Free Tools category. The tool began life as a “Down Tools” project and is one that we’ve supported and championed in various articles on Simple-talk.com.   • Entity framework createquery question.

    I am trying to create a generic search form to use in an EF app. I want to be ably to specify the entity to query at runtime below is a simplified version of the code. cx is the contect object, valuelists is the entity in question. 1: Dim q As String = "select c from intactentities.valuelists as c" 2: Dim x = cx.CreateQuery(Of ValueLists)(q) 3: TextBox1.Text = x.Count This works but I need to remove the hardcoded reference to valuelists in line 3. I expect I am overlooking something simple can anyone suggest a simple solution? Thanks Tony

  • Getting client denied when accessing a wsgi graphite script

    I'm trying to set up graphite on my Mac OS X 10.7 lion, i've set up apache to call the python graphite script via WSGI, but when i try to access it, i get a forbiden from apache and in the error log. "client denied by server configuration: /opt/graphite/webapp/graphite.wsgi" I've checked that the scripts location is allowed in httpd.conf, and the permissions of the file, but they seem correct. What do i have to do to get access. I've seen many answers to this question involving find/ls/stat/readlink and $PWD, but none that suits my need.   • SMTP Verb Error on MSExchange Server 2003

    Hi, Every morning for the last two weeks or more I've had to reboot our Exchange Server and often I have to reboot it again during the day. We use a smarthost for sending our mail out and if I view the queues on Exhange System Manager the Small Business SMTP Connector is in a retry state with "The connection was dropped due to an SMTP protocol event sink". I turned logging up to maximum on ExchangeTransport and the only non-information event in EventViewer is “Message delivery to the host '62.13.128.187' failed while delivering to the remote domain 'mail.authsmtp.com' for the following reason: The connection was dropped due to an SMTP protocol event sink. The SMTP verb which caused the error is 'x-exps'. The response from the remote server is ''.” I stopped using the smarthost during the error condition and all I got was lots of small business connector connections with the same error. I can telnet into mail.authsmtp.com and send a mail during the error state. Any pointers would be gratefully received.

  • Port forwarding + shared connection with Ubuntu

    Because my wireless router's ethernet ports are defective, I set up a shared wireless connection from my laptop (which has wifi) to my eMac (which does not) via a crossover ethernet cable. The laptop is behind a router as 192.168.1.131, and the eMac is behind the laptop as 10.42.43.1 . The laptop is running Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic). I achieved the shared connection through NetworkManager Applet. I right-clicked on the network icon at the topright, went to Edit Connections, selected the Wired connection named "Auto eth0", clicked "Edit...", went to the "IPv4 Settings" tab, and selected the Method "Shared to other computers". The eMac can now access the Internet. Now I want to enable port forwarding. There's a game I want to play that needs port 6112 forwarded (both TCP and UDP) in order to host games. I set up the router to enable port forwarding for 192.168.1.131 (the laptop), but port forwarding still isn't available on the eMac. I suppose I need to pretend my laptop is a router and configure port forwarding on it, indicating that incoming connections to the laptop (192.168.1.131) should be forwarded to the eMac on the shared connection (10.42.43.1 ). Thus, packets coming into the router on port 6112 would be redirected to the laptop (by the router), then to the eMac (by the laptop). My question is, how would I do that on Ubuntu (in light of NetworkManager's presence)? Also, if I can't get this to work, does anyone mind hosting a comp stomp? :D

    Hi guys, I've been stuck with a compilation problem when building a standardised virtual machine on CentOS 5.4, and I'm in the dark here as to a) why this error is occurring, and b) how to fix it, and in the hope that someone else stumbles across this problem too, I'm hoping someone can help me find the solution here. I'm getting a configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files! error when trying to compile Ruby Enterprise like below when I try to run the installer, and the solutions offered to on the forums (of checking the tine, and touching the files to update the time associated with them) don't seem to be helping here. What steps can I take to work out what the cause of this problem?     Trying to optimize my day here, making do with IIS... When executing IISRESET from the Run dialog or from cmd.exe, I get an access denied error. So executing IISRESET gets annoying - involving both mouse and keyboard: Start - Run - cmd (right-click, Run as Administrator) Agree to the UAC dialog Type iisreset, hit enter I'm looking to be able to run IISRESET as quickly as possible. Ideally I could just go Start - Run - iisreset - Enter, and the UAC prompt would pop up. I tried to enable "Run this program as an Administrator" but it was greyed out, even when I opened the properties dialog as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. Thinking of making a Visual Studio macro and a toolbar button; anyone got any other ideas?

    In some text editors (e.g. Kate, gedit), when auto indent is enabled, pressing return twice will leave a trailing whitespace (which I want): if (code) { .... ....| } While others cater to the coding standard where trailing spaces (even in blank lines) aren't allowed: if (code) { ....| } What annoys me about this is that if I arrow up after auto-indenting, the auto-indent is lost: if (code) { | .... } If I run vim and :set autoindent , I get the latter behavior. My question is, how do I set vim to keep the trailing spaces rather than automatically removing them if they go unused?

However, if I look at the Repository settings in Redmine for project1 and project2, they aren't set. Although the SVN repo is created, the Redmine projects aren't configured. How do I get reposman.rb to automatically configure Redmine projects to use the repos after they're set up?

  • Disable pendrive blinking in Linux

    I recently bought a 16GB Super Talent pen drive that seems to work well for running the Ubuntu Live "CD" in persistent mode (see this for how I installed it). One slightly annoying thing, however, is that this pen drive has a bright red light on it that stays on when it's idle. Is there a way to make the light stay off at least when the pen drive is not performing IO? I'm not even sure it's possible to do. If there is (in Linux), I'm guessing it boils down to some ioctl invoked by some utility. Otherwise, I imagine it would involve hacking the firmware or simply opening up the pen drive and removing the LED :D Then again, I guess it keeps the LED on to indicate that the drive should not be removed.

    Hi there, I have a few domains with Dreamhost where I have set a load of records using their web based domain name system, and I've like to move them to another provider that lets me enter info directly as a text file for their name server, bind 9 to use. (If you're interested, I'm moving them to Gandi.net). Previously when I used a cpanel based system to do something similar, there was a tool that let me simply enter a domain name, and any available domains were automagically entered into a system, saving me typing it myself (and bringing down sites with silly typos in the process). What open source tool can I use to query a domain for all the relevant subdomains and records and list them in a format like a zone file, that I can use with other name servers?

    Lets say I have a domain that I run a web app on, for example cranketywidgets.com, and I'm using google apps for handle email for people work work on that domain, i.e. support@ cranketywidgets.com, [email protected], [email protected] and so on. Google's own mail services aren't always the best for sending automated reminder emails, comment notifications and so on, so the current solution I plan to pursue is to create a separate subdomain called mailer.cranketywidgets.com, run a mail server off it, and create a few accounts specifically for sending these kinds of emails. What should the mx records and a records look like here for this? I'm somewhat confused by the fact that mx records can be names, but that they must eventually resolve to an A record. What should the records look like here? cranketywidgets.com - A record to actual server like 10.24.233.214 cranketywidgets.com - mx records for google's email apps mailer.cranketywidgets.com - mx name pointing to server's ip address Would greatly appeciate some help on this - the answer seems like it'll be obvious, but email spam is a difficult problem to solve.

I would like to be able to talk to either network regardless of what network I am on. Example: ISP1 - Router1 - Client ISP2 - Router2 - Client What I would like to do is something like: ISP1 - Router1 - Client              ^              |              v ISP2 - Router2 - Client This would be ideally because then I don't need to introduce another device in the mix, unless I have to.
