  • Not able add .mdf file in App_data

    HI I am not able to add .mdf file in App_data(vs 2008 web developer). If i right click on App_data and try to add new item and select sql server file and click OK. I am getting error as "Connections to Sql Server files(*.mdf) require SQL Server Express 2005 to function properly.Please verify the installation of the component or download from the url:http://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2005/" But i have installed SQL Server Express 2005 still it is giving the same error(i have installed sql server after installing vs 2008) Please help me

    Hi , I have created a asp.net application project in Visual Studio 2010 (.net 4.0). I had published it using Project- Build Deployment Package. It generated .zip file along with files having extension " .deply.cmd", ".SetParameters.xml", ".SourceManifest.xml" and readme.txt, in Application (obj\Release\Package) folder My intension is to host the package on test server which has IIS6.0, Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition service pack 2. It has .net 4.0. I tried by running the cmd file but its showed me an message as below: ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. msdeploy.exe is not found on this machine. Please install Web Deploy before execute the script. any help pl....

Now I want to use two keystrokes, left arrow and up arrow together simultaneously, for north east movement, how can I do it? I am only able to use one keystroke at a time , I need to catch two key strokes simultaneously, I need it for my game project.

    hi , In my sybase server, some rows of a table (TBL_RESOURCE) are deleting from unknown source at random intervals.I tried a lot, but i cannot able to locate from which source/file/process this data is deleting.Is there any mechanism to locate this problem !! i need to find out who is deleting this rows.. how we can find out who is deleted it and from which file ... can we use triger to find the source of deletion ..?

    I am new to Win32 programming. sprintf(lpszBuff,"HELO Mail-Server\r\n"); send(s,lpszBuff,strlen(lpszBuff),0); recv(s,lpszBuff,100,0); cout << lpszBuff; In here I connect to a local mail server. The buffer contains the request I send, the same buffer contains the reply send by the browser. How do I see the reply? cout <<buffer doesn't show any output. I am doing this on VC++ 2008.

  • How to change the picture of CustomButtonField on click event?

    I have posted this question previously but the answer is not appropiate. The solution provided just change the picture when the custombutton has focus and unfocus. Suppose in my application I need to change the picture if the user clicks on the customButton, n i m doing this by calling the same screen (ie UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(new Screen2(b));) . Screen2 is the screen which holds the customButton. On the click evevt i m pushing the same screen by passing aint variable pic_status that determines which picture to be drawn in the CustomButton in the new screen. I found a couple of methods to do this. 1) SMS - Intercept the incoming SMS and initiate a pull from the server 2) Poll the server periodically Each has its own limitations. SMS- no guarantee on arrival time. Poll may drain the battery. Do you have a better suggestion please?. Thanks much.

    Apache provides a tool called rotatelogs which has the benefit of not restarting apache when rotating logs which happens with logrotate. I do not have enough experience to speak if this is enough criteria to use rotatelogs over logrotate. My questions is does anyone have real life experience using either or of these two tools and what were your input would be? What would you recommend and why?

  • Dell XPS 15 L502X hard drive Partition

    I have a situation here. I got my new Dell XPS 15 Laptop. The configuration of hard drive is as below : Volume 1: (OEM Partition): 133MB Volume 2: OS (C:): 685.25 GB Volume 3: Recovery : 13.25 GB Now, I am trying to re-partition my C Drive to have a C: drive with 100 GB and a new drive with 585 GB. Earlier, I tried using the Windows 7 Disk Management to shrink and extend the volume. That lead to the OS and hard drive not working. Dell Tech support tried to fix the issue, but they were not able to fix the issue online. Later a Dell Technician arrived my place, and replaced the hard drive with a new hard drive. Please help me re-partition the C: Drive with 100 GB, and new D drive with 585 GB. I don't want to lose my Recovery Partition. SOLUTION As Suggested by KCotreau below , I have done exactly. I have resized the C drive to 100 GB. And then applied the changes. Windows got restarted. On the boot screen, the partition was taking place. It took around 30 mins ( approx. ). Once after restart, I can see my C drive is 100 GB. Now opened the Easeus again. And created a new partition for the free space ( 585 GB ) this took 10 seconds to create. Here goes the screenshot after partitioning. Thanks to KCotreau. You are amazing.

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to present on the topic Performing an Effective Presentation. I must say it was blast to prepare as well as present this session. This event was part of the SQL Bangalore community. If you are in Bangalore, you must be part of this group. SQL Bangalore is a wonderful community and we always have a great response when we present on technology. It is SQL User Group and we discuss everything SQL there. This month we had SQL Server 2014 theme and we had a community launch of SQL Server.
