  • Common header view on top of nib files with Interface builder

    - by Tiago
Hi, I have a nib file that contains an header that will be used in most of my views, so that I can change it's layout just once when I need. I'd like to know if it's possible to add the header nib view with interface builder, or if I need to do that programmatically and how should it be done. I've thought about setting the subclass of the subview to a UIView subclass that automatically loads the nib file, but I'd like to do that with interface builder. Is that possible?

  • Removing X-Powered-By

    - by Castor
How can I remove X-Powered-By header in PHP? I am on an Apache Server and I use php 5.21. I can't use the header_remove function in php as it's not supported by 5.21. I used Header unset X-Powered-By, it worked on my local machine, but not on my production server. If php doesn't support header_remove() for ver < 5.3, is there an alternative?

  • Is there a difference between only <NSXMLParserDelegate>, only setDelegate method, or the use of bot

    - by gotye
Hey, I noticed that when I do this : [myParser setDelegate:self]; it works :D (even if I didn't add the code in the header file ... you know, the <delegateStuff, delegateOtherStuff> in the interface declaration) When are you supposed to modify the header file to make your delegate work ? Is the setDelegate method enough to make it work ? Cheers for any help ;) Gauthier

  • Adding an HTTP Header to the request in a servlet filter

    - by Mason
I'm integrating with an existing servlet that pulls some properties out of the HTTP header. Basically, I'm implementing an interface that doesn't have access to the actual request, it just has access to a map of k-v for the HTTP headers. I need to pass in a request parameter. The plan is to use a servlet filter to go from parameter to header value but of course the HttpServletRequest object doesn't have an addHeader() method. Any ideas?

  • Access Controls in Silverlight DataGrid Column Header from Code

    - by fuzzyman
We have custom headers in the Silverlight DataGrid using the ContentTemplate. We've got a button in the header and need to programmatically access the button to hook up the event. We're using IronPython, so we can't statically bind the event in the xaml (plus we use the grid for many different views - so we dynamically generate the xaml). How can we get access to controls inside a datagrid column header?

  • Trying to run psexec to remote to server and recycle app pool

    - by James
If I run this from my command prompt it works fine. psexec \ServerName cscript.exe iisapp.vbs /a AppName /r I'm trying to do the same thing with C# console app. I'm using the below code but most of the time the application hangs and doesn't complete, and the few times it does it throws an error code. Am I doing this wrong? Anyone know where I can look up the error or error code? static void RecycleAppPool(string sServer) { Console.Clear(); ProcessStartInfo p = new ProcessStartInfo("psexec.exe", "\\\\" + sServer + " cscript.exe iisapp.vbs /a <AppName> /r"); p.RedirectStandardInput = true; p.UseShellExecute = false; Process.Start(p); } When it completes with error, looks like this "cscript.exe exited with error code -2147024664"

  • UITableView Header Selection

    - by Reonarudo
Hello, Can anyone explain me how can I detect a selection in a table view Header view like in tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: ? It would be very useful for me. I've defined the header as UITableCellView so I could attach a UISwitch as an accessory view, and it worked great but now I can't detect the changes made in the switch. Any suggestions?

  • Cocoa Touch - setting text of header of UITableView

    - by Mark
Hey all, I'm trying to set the title of the header of my entire UITableView, but am having no success. For example, on this webpage: http://www.iphonesdkarticles.com/2009/01/uitableview-sectioned-table-view.html I am trying to replicate creating the "Countries" header programmatically. I have a UITableView that works and displays data. When I insert the following line: self.navigationItem.title = @"Countries"; In my viewDidLoad method, nothing happens. Thoughts?

  • Putting a C++ Vector as a Member in a Class that Uses a Memory Pool

    - by Deep-B
Hey, I've been writing a multi-threaded DLL for database access using ADO/ODBC for use with a legacy application. I need to keep multiple database connections for each thread, so I've put the ADO objects for each connection in an object and thinking of keeping an array of them inside a custom threadInfo object. Obviously a vector would serve better here - I need to delete/rearrange objects on the go and a vector would simplify that. Problem is, I'm allocating a heap for each thread to avoid heap contention and stuff and allocating all my memory from there. So my question is: how do I make the vector allocate from the thread-specific heap? (Or would it know internally to allocate memory from the same heap as its wrapper class - sounds unlikely, but I'm not a C++ guy) I've googled a bit and it looks like I might need to write an allocator or something - which looks like so much of work I don't want. Is there any other way? I've heard vector uses placement-new for all its stuff inside, so can overloading operator new be worked into it? My scant knowledge of the insides of C++ doesn't help, seeing as I'm mainly a C programmer (even that - relatively). It's very possible I'm missing something elementary somewhere. If nothing easier comes up - I might just go and do the array thing, but hopefully it won't come to that. I'm using MS-VC++ 6.0 (hey, it's rude to laugh! :-P ). Any/all help will be much appreciated.

I want to design my web site. I have two main div, one of them "header", other "content". I want to set width property:80% and I set center for both of them. But I don't do that. • 500 Worker Threads, what kind of thread pool?

    - by Submerged
I am wondering if this is the best way to do this. I have about 500 threads that run indefinitely, but Thread.sleep for a minute when done one cycle of processing. ExecutorService es = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(list.size()+1); for (int i = 0; i < list.size(); i++) { es.execute(coreAppVector.elementAt(i)); //coreAppVector is a vector of extends thread objects } The code that is executing is really simple and basically just this class aThread extends Thread { public void run(){ while(true){ Thread.sleep(ONE_MINUTE); //Lots of computation every minute } } } I do need a separate threads for each running task, so changing the architecture isn't an option. I tried making my threadPool size equal to Runtime.getRuntime().availableProcessors() which attempted to run all 500 threads, but only let 8 (4xhyperthreading) of them execute. The other threads wouldn't surrender and let other threads have their turn. I tried putting in a wait() and notify(), but still no luck. If anyone has a simple example or some tips, I would be grateful! Well, the design is arguably flawed. The threads implement Genetic-Programming or GP, a type of learning algorithm. Each thread analyzes advanced trends makes predictions. If the thread ever completes, the learning is lost. That said, I was hoping that sleep() would allow me to share some of the resources while one thread isn't "learning"

  • Searching for patterns to create a TCP Connection Pool for high performance messaging

    - by JoeGeeky
I'm creating a new Client / Server application in C# and expect to have a fairly high rate of connections. That made me think of database connection pools which help mitigate the expense of creating and disposing connections between the client and database. I would like to create a similar capability for my application and haven't been able to find any good examples of how to apply this pattern. Do I really need to spin up an instance of a TcpClient every time I want to send a message to the server and receive a receipt message? Each connection is expected to transport between 1-5KB with each receiving a 1KB response message. I realize this question is somewhat vague, but I am starting from scratch so I am open to suggestions. Even if that means my suppositions are all wrong.

  • Load Balancing and Failover for Read-Only PostgreSQL Database

    - by Eric J.
Scenario Multiple application servers host web services written in Java, running in SpringSource dm Server. To implement a new requirement, they will need to query a read-only PostgreSQL database. Issue To support redundancy, at least two PostgreSQL instances will be running. Access to PostgreSQL must be load balanced and must auto-fail over to currently running instances if an instance should go down. Auto-discovery of newly running instances is desirable but not required. Research I have reviewed the official PostgreSQL documentation on this issue. However, that focuses on the more general case of read/write access to the database. Top google results tend to lead to older newsgroup messages or dead projects such as Sequoia or DB Balancer, as well as one active project PG Pool II Question What are your real-world experiences with PG Pool II? What other simple and reliable alternatives are available?

  • Pre-Compiled Header Design Question

    - by ML
Hi All, I have code that uses a pre-compiled header. (previously done by someone else) In it, they are including several .h files. If I have classes that use common .h files that are not currently in the existing pre-compiled header, would tossing them in there be of any real benefit? Maybe compilation speed, but I was thinking it would clean up the classes/headers a bit too? What are do's and don't with pre-compiled headers?

  • How to set header and footer in print layout

    - by Miraaj
I have a very simple requirement: I want to show a header and footer in print layout of a view. One approach I can use is to manipulate the height of the page and display some text fields at appropriate positions as header and footer, but I think there must be smarter way to do this in cocoa. Can any one tell me- is there any default method to achieve this in cocoa or some smarter way to do this?

  • Reading column header and column values of a data table using LAMBDA(C#3.0)

    - by Newbie
    Consider the folowing where I am reading the data table values and writing to a text file using (StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(@"C:\testwrite.txt",true)) { DataPreparation().AsEnumerable().ToList().ForEach(i => { string col1 = i[0].ToString(); string col2 = i[1].ToString(); string col3 = i[2].ToString(); string col4 = i[3].ToString(); sw.WriteLine( col1 + "\t" + col2 + "\t" + col3 + "\t" + col4 + Environment.NewLine ); }); } The data preparation function is as under private static DataTable DataPreparation() { DataTable dt = new DataTable(); dt.Columns.Add("Col1", typeof(string)); dt.Columns.Add("Col2", typeof(int)); dt.Columns.Add("Col3", typeof(DateTime)); dt.Columns.Add("Col4", typeof(bool)); for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { dt.Rows.Add("String" + i.ToString(), i, DateTime.Now.Date, (i % 2 == 0) ? true : false); } return dt; } It is working fine. Now in the above described program, it is known to me the Number of columns and the column headers. How to achieve the same in case when the column headers and number of columns are not known at compile time using the lambda expression? I have already done that which is as under public static void WriteToTxt(string directory, string FileName, DataTable outData, string delimiter) { FileStream fs = null; StreamWriter streamWriter = null; using (fs = new FileStream(directory + "\\" + FileName + ".txt", FileMode.Append, FileAccess.Write)) { try { streamWriter = new StreamWriter(fs); streamWriter.BaseStream.Seek(0, SeekOrigin.End); streamWriter.WriteLine(); DataTableReader datatableReader = outData.CreateDataReader(); for (int header = 0; header < datatableReader.FieldCount; header++) { streamWriter.Write(outData.Columns[header].ToString() + delimiter); } streamWriter.WriteLine(); int row = 0; while (datatableReader.Read()) { for (int field = 0; field < datatableReader.FieldCount; field++) { streamWriter.Write(outData.Rows[row][field].ToString() + delimiter); } streamWriter.WriteLine(); row++; } } catch (Exception ex) { throw ex; } } } I am using C#3.0 and framework 3.5 Thanks in advance
