  • div:hover is affecting all elements below

    Here is a sample fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/K2zyU/4/ The problem I am experiencing is that the main navigation hover is applying to the sub navigation items. If for example, I were to move the list above the main navigation div the hover works as I would expect?     Hi, I have a series of select boxes within a table like so: <tr> <td><select></select></td> <td><select></select></td> <td><select></select></td> <td><select></select></td> </tr> With about 10 rows. I'm trying to reset all of the select boxes in the row to a default value, but having trouble with the syntax, can anyone help? This is what I have at the moment, but it dosen't seem to be working: $(row).children('td > select').each().val('0'); Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

    Often, I have a list of objects. Each object has properties. I want to extract a subset of the list where a specific property has a predefined value. Example: I have a list of User objects. A User has a homeTown. I want to extract all users from my list with "Springfield" as their homeTown. I normally see this accomplished as follows: List users = getTheUsers(); List returnList = new ArrayList(); for (User user: users) { if ("springfield".equalsIgnoreCase(user.getHomeTown()) returnList.add(user); } I am not particularly satisfied with this solution. Yes, it works, but it seems so slow. There must be a non-linear solution. Suggestions?

But if the array contains more than one value say (1,3) I need to return both results of 1 and 3. eg: if the array is like this array([0]=>1 [1]=>3) then $res=array('First Name','Insertion','Last Name','City','State','Country','Lead Country') But if there are 2 lead country only one should be displayed how to do this? Pls help me.

    I have a numpy array with positive and negative values in. a = array([1,1,-1,-2,-3,4,5]) I want to create another array which contains a value at each index where a sign change occurs (For example, if the current element is positive and the previous element is negative and vice versa). For the array above, I would expect to get the following result array([0,0,1,0,0,1,0]) Alternatively, a list of the positions in the array where the sign changes occur or list of booleans instead of 0's and 1's is fine.

    Hi, how come that when I attach onchange by attribute and call it onchange="validateDate(FPR_CURR_FROM);" it works, but when I use a ASP .NET validator, and my attached function is called like : function anonymous() { ValidatorOnChange(event); validateDate(FPR_CURR_FROM); } I get error: FPR_CURR_FROM is undefined. First off: I know that using FPR_CURR_FROM to access element is BAD, and I should use getElementByID etc... And I will change it eventually. But as I bumped into that code, I'm curious what caused it - propably visibility of variables I guess.

  • Create unique links for indvidual elements of a PHP generated table

    I have a table generated from some PHP code that lists a SMALL amount of important information for employees. I want to make it so each row, or at least one element in each row can be clicked on so the user will be redirected to ALL of the information (pulled from MySQL database) related to the employee who was clicked on. I am not sure how would be the best way to go about this, but I am open to suggestions. I would like to stick to PHP and/or JavaScript.     Hi, I'm looking to add a click handler to a div. But is there a way to use a single click handler function and share it between multiple divs? Since I may have 100 divs, I don't want to create a click handler for each (they'll all practically do the same thing).     I keep getting an uncaught syntex error which I know usually means your code has a missing closing something. I keep failing to see what it is that I am missing. The idea of the function is that it extracts the a links ID and Text content and add's it to an un-ordered list. The links have a class of 'ingredient_add' and the unordered list has an ID of 'ingredientsAdded'. The requirements have now changed so that now the XML can have more than one definition tag and reference tag. They can appear in any order, i.e definition, reference, reference, definition, reference. How can I update the XSLT to accommodate this? Probably worth mentioning that because my XSLT processor is using .NET I can only use XSLT 1.0 commands. Many thanks!

    Say you've got some IEnumerable called S of length N. I would like to select all continuous subsequences of length n <= N from S. If S were, say, a string, this'd be pretty easy. There are (S.Length - n + 1) subsequences of length n. For example, "abcdefg" is length (7), so that means it has (5) substrings of length (3): "abc", "bcd", "cde", "def", "efg". But S could be any IEnumerable, so this route isn't open. How do I use extension methods to solve this?

    Hello all, I have tags in a html list, here is an example of two tags. <div class="tags"> <ul> <li> <a onclick="tag_search('tag1');" href="#">tag1 <span class="num-active">1</span></a> </li> <li> <a onclick="tag_search('tag2');" href="#">tag2 <span class="num-active">1</span></a> </li> </ul> </div> I would like to write a function that I can pass a string to, that will match the strings in the a hyperlink i.e. "tag1" or "tag2", if there is a match then increment the number in the span, if not then add a new li. The bit I am having trouble with is how do I search for a string in the div with class tags and then when I find a match identifying the element. I can't even do the first bit as I am use to using an ID or a Class.
