  I am modifying a skin for the CKEdit component so that the toolbar is hidden unless clicked. To do so, I moved the toolbar collapser to the row below it using position: relative and top:18px. My goal is to have the parent tr of the anchor element a height of 2px, but keep the anchor at 11px. Is this possible? I cannot alter the DOM, just the styles. • jquery load returns empty, possible MVC 2 problem?

  I have a site that need to get some data from a different sit that is using asp.net MVC/ The data to get loaded is from these pages: http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/totaldonations http://charity.hondaclassic.com/Home/CharityList This should be a no brainer but for some reason I get an empty response, here is my JS: <script> jQuery.noConflict(); jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.totalDonations').load('http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/totaldonations'); $('#charityList').load('http://charity.hondaclassic.com/home/CharityList'); }); </script> in firebug I see the request is made and come back with a response of 200 OK but the response is empty, if you browse to these pages they work fine! What the heck?   Hello! I am using phpmailer class to send email and i am attaching a file to the mail. The email is sent successfully but the attachment which is an sql file is empty which should not be the case. I have tried with an image file, but it seems that every file that i attach is empty. Do you know a way get the node so I can set the value?

  How can I retrie infromation from delete rows. I delete some rows from table in dataset, then I use method GetChanges(DataRowState.Deleted) to get deleted rows. I try delete rows in original table on server side, but it finished with this errors. System.Data.DeletedRowInaccessibleException: Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row. Each row should have two columns: a text box showing the parent's name and a DataGridViewComboBoxColumn containing that parent's children, from which the user can select the parent's favorite child. I suppose I could do the whole thing manually, but I'd like to do all this with more-or-less standard Data Binding. It's easy enough to bind the DataGridView to the list of parents, and easy enough to bind the selected child to the FavoriteChild property. The part that's giving me difficulty is that it looks like the Combo Box column wants to bind to one data source for all the combo-box's contents on all rows. I'd like each instance of the combo box to bind to the list of each parent's children. I'm fairly new to C#/Windows Forms, so I may well be missing something obvious. Or it could be that "you can't get there from here." It's not too tough to make a separate list of all the children and filter it by parent; I'm looking into that possibility right now. Is this feasible, or is there a better way?

• Empty Postbacks on ASP.NET pages

  We are having a problem that seems to only be a problem when accessing our websites from internal intranet machines. When logged into the domain, and accessing our websites, postbacks are not working. Basically the page behaves as if it were refreshed and nothing was changed. When logging the GETs and POSTs with an HTTP analyzer, the post is complete empty and the ContentLength is 0. It is also very sporadic, but seems to be happening fairly often. In the case where it failed, we could see that there was an extra item in the Header for the POST, it was "Authorization" and the value was the word "Negotiate " followed by a space and then a bunch of characters and two equal symbols at the end, which looked like some kind of base64 encoded value. In a case where it succeeded, this Authorization item was no in the header, but I have logged more than one successful cases to know if that is consistent. We have seen this occur only with IE8 so far, and when it occurs it is sometimes sporadic. I can close and open the browser and it will begin working sometimes, and other times it is still broken. What might be causing the postback to be empty? This means the viewstate is not sent to the server which makes the page basically broken. It seems to certainly be a client side issue, but not sure if it's not aggravated by some server settings. Thanks in advance.

  I'm using Notepad++ to clean up a long and messy HTML table. I'm trying to use regular expressions even if I'm a total noob. :) I need to remove all the table rows that doesn't contain a specific value (may I call that substring?). After having all the file contents unwrapped, I've been able to use the following regular expression to select, one by one, every table row with all its contents: <tr>.+?</tr> How can I improve the regular expression in order to select and replace only table rows containing, somewhere inside a part of them, that defined substring? I don't know if this does matter but the structure of every table row is the following (I've put there every HTML tag, the dots stand for standard content/values) <tr> <td> ... </td> <td> ... </td> <td> <a sfref="..." href="...">!! • jQuery.ajax() + empty JSON object = parse error

  I get a parse error when using jQuery to load some JSON data. Here's a snippet of my code: jQuery.ajax({ dataType: "json", success: function (json) { jQuery.each(json, function () { alert(this["columnName"]); }); } }); I get no errors when parsing a non-empty JSON object. So my guess is that the problem is with my serializer. Question is: how do I format an empty JSON object which jQuery won't consider malformed? This is what I've tried so far, with no success: {[]} {[null]} {} {null} {"rows": []} {"rows": null} {"rows": {}} UPDATE: I can understand that I've been somewhat vague--let me try and clarify: Parsing of the JSON object is not the issue here--JQuery is - I think. jQuery throws a parse-error (invokes the error function). It seems like jQuery's internal JSON validation is not accepting any of the before mentioned objects. Not even the valid ones. Output of the error function is: XMLHttpRequest: XMLHttpRequest readyState=4 status=200 textStatus: parsererror errorThrown: undefined This goes for all of the before mentioned objects.

I currently am able to create the Datagrid and populate its column headers but I am unsure as to how to how to add the rows for each column. The above XML will be update with new row and column elements added and deleted. This, of course, will be bound to the Datagrid to show updates. Thanks in advanced for your help.

Now I want to toggle all the rows which have class names equal to their parent row id whenever parent row is clicked.   I need to select a top row for each category from a known set (somewhat similar to this question). The problem is, how to make this query efficient on the large number of rows. For example, let's create a table that stores temperature recording in several places. This way is efficient, but doesn't scale well (and looks dirty). For the former query three times one row is fetched. Is there a way to perform the query efficiently without lots of unions?

When I use ajax_result_1 for :update, it worked okay. But, not for *ajax_result_2* and *ajax_result_3*. Is there a way to solve this? I want to replace row of the table.

• Quickly or concisely determine the longest string per column in a row-based data collection

  Judging from the failure of my last inquiry, I need to calculate and preset the widths of a set of columns in a table that is being made into an Excel file. Unfortunately, the string data is stored in a row-based format, but the widths must be calculated in a column-based format. The data for the spreadsheets are generated from the following two collections: var dictFiles = l.Items.Cast<SPListItem>().GroupBy(foo => foo.GetSafeSPValue("Category")).ToDictionary(bar => bar.Key); StringDictionary dictCols = GetColumnsForItem(l.Title); Where l is an SPList whose title determines which columns are used. Each SPListItem corresponds to a row of data, which are sorted into separate worksheets based on Category (hence the dictionary). The second line is just a simple StringDictionary that has the column name (A, B, C, etc.) as a key and the corresponding SPListItme field display name as the corresponding value. So for each Category, I enumerate through dictFiles[somekey] to get all the rows in that sheet, and get the particular cell data using SPListItem.Fields[dictCols[colName]]. What I am asking is, is there a quick or concise method, for any one dictFiles[somekey], to retrieve a readout of the longest string in each column provided by dictCols? If it is impossible to get both quickness and conciseness, I can settle for either (since I always have the O(n*m) route of just enumerating the collection and updating an array whenever strCurrent.Length strLongest.Length). For example, if the goal table was the following... Item# Field1 Field2 Field3 1 Oarfish Atmosphere Pretty 2 Raven Radiation Adorable 3 Sunflower Flowers Cute I'd like a function which could cleanly take the collection of items 1, 2, and 3 and output in the correct order... • Getting the full-name of the current user, returns an empty string (C#/C++)

  I try to get the full-name of the current log-in user (Fullname, not username). The following code C#, C++ works fine but on XP computers not connected to the Net, I get empty string as result if I run it ~20 minutes after login (It runs OK whithin the first ~20 minutes after login) A Win32 API (GetUserNameEx) is used rather that PrincipalContext since it PrincipalContext may takes up to 15 seconds when working offline. • TableTools only exporting single header row

  I am using the DataTable jquery plugin from: http://datatables.net/ I have a DataTable that has multi-row table header with colspan. Something like: <thead> <tr> <th>Level 1</th> <th colspan='2'>Level 1 - Item 1</th> <th colspan='2'>Level 1 - Item 2</th> </tr> <tr> <th>Level 2</th> <th>Level 2 - Item 1a</th> <th>Level 2 - Item 1b</th> <th>Level 2 - Item 2a</th> <th>Level 2 - Item 2b</th> </tr> </thead> However when I use the TableTools plugin to export then except for the "Print" option all the rest (Excel, CSV, Pdf etc) only has the "Level 2" header row and not the Level 1. Any suggestions on how to get it to export also Level 1?
