• Obtaining Second WAN - Want to keep

- by ndavis
My business is growing so I've decided to purchase a second DSL line, to separate two departments to allow for more bandwidth usage. Previously I had a network printer that served both departments. With the addition of the second DSL line, I'm potentially going to have two separate LANs. How can I set it up so that the new LAN still has access to the Network Printer, but ensure that they are still using the new DSL line?

• FileSystemWatcher.WaitForChanged returns, but there is still a lock on the file

- by SnOrfus
I have a program that send a document to a pdf printer driver and that driver prints to a particular directory. After the print I want to attach the pdf to an e-mail (MailMessage) and send it off. Right now, I send the document to the printer (wich spawns a new process) and then call a FileSystemWatcher.WaitForChanged(WaitForChangedResult.Created) but when the object is created, it's still not done "printing" and the pdf printer still has a lock on it, throwing an error when I try to attach that file to an e-mail. I've considered a plain Thread.Sleep(2000) or whatever, but that's far less than ideal. I considered putting the attachment code in a try/catch block and looping on failure, but again, that's just bad news. I can't really think of an elegant solution.

• How can I locate all the network printers in the enterprise?

- by AngryHacker
When I go to Printers and Faxes dialog, I can click the Add a printer link, select Network Printer, then Find a printer in the directory. From there I get a dialog box which lets me find ALL printers in the enterprise. I need to find all the network printers with my code. How can I do this? Note that I am not talking about network printers that are connected to my PC, but all network printers in the enterprise (my workplace has almost 4000 printers). P.S. PrintServer().GetPrintQueues only returns printers attached to the computer. P.P.S. Here is a short video of what I want: http://www.angryhacker.com/toys/FindAllPrinters/FindAllPrinters.html

• Best Practise for Writing a POS System

- by Gary
Hi, I'm putting together a basic POS system in C# that needs to print to a receipt printer and open a cash drawer. Do I have to use the Microsoft Point of Service SDK? I've been playing around with printing to my Samsung printer using the Windows driver that came with it, and it seems to work great. I assume though that other printers may not come with Windows drivers and then I would be stuck? Or would I be able to simply use the Generic/Text Driver to print to any printer that supports it? For the cash drawer I would need to send codes directly to the COM port which is fine with me, if it saves me the hassle of helping clients setup OPOS drivers on there systems. Am I going down the wrong path here? Thanks, Gary

• MySQL full text search with partial words

- by Rob
MySQL Full Text searching appears to be great and the best way to search in SQL. However, I seem to be stuck on the fact that it won't search partial words. For instance if I have an article titled "MySQL Tutorial" and search for "MySQL", it won't find it. Having done some searching I found various references to support for this coming in MySQL 4 (i'm using 5.1.40). I've tried using "MySQL" and "%MySQL%", but neither works (one link I found suggested it was stars but you could only do it at the end or the beginning not both). Here's my table structure and my query, if someone could tell me where i'm going wrong that would be great. I'm assuming partial word matching is built in somehow. CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `articles` ( `article_id` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `article_name` varchar(64) NOT NULL, `article_desc` text NOT NULL, `article_link` varchar(128) NOT NULL, `article_hits` int(11) NOT NULL, `article_user_hits` int(7) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `article_guest_hits` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `article_rating` decimal(4,2) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.00', `article_site_id` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `article_time_added` int(10) unsigned NOT NULL, `article_discussion_id` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', `article_source_type` varchar(12) NOT NULL, `article_source_value` varchar(12) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`article_id`), FULLTEXT KEY `article_name` (`article_name`,`article_desc`,`article_link`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8 AUTO_INCREMENT=7 ; INSERT INTO `articles` VALUES (1, 'MySQL Tutorial', 'Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. As you can see a search for MySQL should return a count of 6, but unfortunately it doesn't.

• How do I find out if the variable is declared in Python?

- by golergka
I want to use a module as a singleton referenced in other modules. It looks something like this (that's not actually a code I'm working on, but I simplified it to throw away all unrelated stuff): main.py import singleton import printer def main(): singleton.Init(1,2) printer.Print() if __name__ == '__main__': pass singleton.py variable1 = '' variable2 = '' def Init(var1, var2) variable1 = var1 variable2 = var2 printer.py import singleton def Print() print singleton.variable1 print singleton.variable2 I expect to get output 1/2, but instead get empty space. I understand that after I imported singleton to the print.py module the variables got initialized again. So I think that I must check if they were intialized before in singleton.py: if not (variable1): variable1 = '' if not (variable2) variable2 = '' But I don't know how to do that. Or there is a better way to use singleton modules in python that I'm not aware of :)

• Printings using CUPS, when can my app quit?

- by KPexEA
I have an linux app that uses cups for printing, but I've noticed that if I print and then quit my app right away my printout never appears. So I assume that my app has to wait for it to actually come out of the printer before quitting, so does anyone know how to tell when it's finished printing?? I'm using libcups to print a postscript file that my app generates. So I use the command to print the file and it then returns back to my app. So my app thinks that the document is off to the printer queue when I guess it has not made it there yet. So rather than have all my users have to look on the screen for the printer icon in the system tray I would rather have a solution in code, so if they try and quit before it has really been sent off I can alert them to the fact. Also the file I generate is a temporary file so it would be nice to know when it is finished with so I can delete it.

• C# Network Printing

- by tanthiamhuat
I am able to get the list of network printers via this code: private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (String printer in PrinterSettings.InstalledPrinters) { listBox1.Items.Add(printer.ToString()); } } For each network printer, I want to extract out more information like: (a) get document information, like number of pages printed, filename, file-size, etc. (b) get computer IP address from which document was printed. (c) get username of who printed the document. How do I achieve the above? any code samples would be appreciated. Do I have to look into Windows Management Instrumentation(WMI) stuffs?

• How to change TXSDateTime SOAP serialization in Delphi 7?

- by LukLed
I am trying to use Java based webservice and have soap request: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body xmlns:NS1="http://something/"> <NS1:getRequest id="1"> <sessionId xsi:type="xsd:string"></sessionId> <reportType xsi:type="NS1:reportType">ALL</reportType> <xsd:dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <xsd:dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> </NS1:getRequest> <parameters href="#1" /> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> It doesn't work, because webservice doesn't recognize dates as parameters. When I change <xsd:dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <xsd:dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> to <dateFrom xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-30T23:29:43.088+02:00</xsd:dateFrom> <dateTo xsi:type="xsd:dateTime">2010-05-31T23:29:43.728+02:00</xsd:dateTo> everything works ok, but Delphi (without Delphi source code changes) doesn't allow to change generated XML, it has only some options. Is it possible to set conversion options, so TSXDateTime is converted to <dateFrom, not <xsd:dateFrom tag? Did you meet that problem?

• How to pass SOAP headers into python SUDS that are not defined in WSDL file

- by chrissygormley
Hello, I have a camera on my network, I am trying to connect to it with suds but suds doesn't send all the information needed. I need to put extra soap headers not defined in the WSDL file so the camera can understand the message. All the headers are contained in a SOAP envelope and then the suds command be in the body of the message. I have checked the suds website and it says to pass in the headers like so: from suds.sax.element import Element client = client(url) ssnns = ('ssn', 'http://namespaces/sessionid') ssn = Element('SessionID', ns=ssnns).setText('123') client.set_options(soapheaders=ssn) result = client.service.addPerson(person) Now I am not sure how I would implement this, say for example I have the below header: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:SOAP ENC="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-encoding" xmlns:p1="http://www.website.org/ver10/p/wsdl"> .<SOAP-ENV:Header> Using this or a similar example does anyone know hos I would get this passed into the soap command so my camera understands? Thanks

• Android, sending XML via HTTP POST (SOAP)

- by Intosia
Hi, I would like to invoke a webservice via Android. I need to POST some XML to a URL via HTTP. I found this snipped for sending a POST, but i dont know how to include/add the XML data itself. public void postData() { // Create a new HttpClient and Post Header HttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httppost = new HttpPost("http://10.10.4.35:53011/"); try { // Add your data List<NameValuePair> nameValuePairs = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(2); nameValuePairs.add(new BasicNameValuePair("Content-Type", "application/soap+xml")); httppost.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(nameValuePairs)); // Where/how to add the XML data? // Execute HTTP Post Request HttpResponse response = httpclient.execute(httppost); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block } } This is the complete POST message that i need to imitate: POST /a8103e90-f1e3-11dd-bfdb-8b1fcff1a110 HTTP/1.1 Host: 10.10.4.35:53011 Content-Type: application/soap+xml Content-Length: 602 <s12:Envelope xmlns:s12="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:wsa="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing"> <s12:Header> <wsa:MessageID>urn:uuid:fc061d40-3d63-11df-bfba-62764ccc0e48</wsa:MessageID> <wsa:Action>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/transfer/Get</wsa:Action> <wsa:To>urn:uuid:a8103e90-f1e3-11dd-bfdb-8b1fcff1a110</wsa:To> <wsa:ReplyTo> <wsa:Address>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing/role/anonymous</wsa:Address> </wsa:ReplyTo> </s12:Header> <s12:Body /> </s12:Envelope>

• Client WCF DataContract has empty/null values from service

- by Matt
I have a simple WCF service that returns the time from the server. I've confirmed that data is being sent by checking with Fiddler. Here's the result object xml that my service sends. <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <s:Body> <GetTimeResponse xmlns="http://tempuri.org/"> <GetTimeResult xmlns:a="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/TestService.DataObjects" xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <a:theTime>2010-03-26T09:14:38.066372-06:00</a:theTime> </GetTimeResult> </GetTimeResponse> </s:Body> </s:Envelope> So, as far as I can tell, there's nothing wrong on the server end. It's receiving requests and returning results. But on my silverlight client, all the members of the returned object are either null, blank or a default vaule. As you can see the server returns the current date and time. But in silverlight, theTime property on my object is set to 1/1/0001 12:00 AM (default value). Sooo methinks that the DataContracts do not match up between the server and the silverlight client. Here's the DataContract for the server [DataContract] public class Time { [DataMember] public DateTime theTime { get; set; } } Incredibly simple. And here's the datacontract on my silverlight client. [DataContract] public class Time { [DataMember] public DateTime theTime { get; set; } } Literally the only difference is the namespaces within the application. But still the values being returned are null, empty or a .NET default. Thanks for you help!

• problem with addressfilter in WCF

- by Zé Carlos
I've build my own WCF channel with all necessary stuff (like encoders, bindings, etc) to use it with ServiceHost. I just want to build the "channel stack" making no custumizations at "Service Model". To acomplish this, my encoder returns perfect ServiceModel.Messages with a XML infoset just like other channel does. Lets assume the following service implementation: [ServiceContract(Namespace = "http://MyNS")] public interface IService1 { [OperationContract(IsOneWay = true)] void dummy(); } public class Service1 : IService1 { public void dummy() { Console.WriteLine("In Service1:dummy()"); } } I used this service through other bindings and traced the following ServiceModel.Message contents (SOAP format): <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing"> <s:Header> <a:Action s:mustUnderstand="1">http://MyNS/IService1/dummy</a:Action> <a:To s:mustUnderstand="1">amqp://localhost</a:To> </s:Header> <s:Body> <dummy xmlns="http://MyNS"></dummy> </s:Body> </s:Envelope> Then (just to debug) i changed my encoder to allways return this message. When i use my custom channel the WCF's runtime replay with an faul message telling: "The message with To '' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to an AddressFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. Check that the sender and receiver's EndpointAddresses agree." I read that the default EndPointDispatcher.AddressFilter simply looks to the "TO" header and delivery the message to corresponding service. This is happening with other bindings, why not happens with my custom channel too? Is there any way to i check what default AddressFilter is doing? Thanks

• How to I get the value of a custom soap header in WCF

- by Jason Coyne
I have created a custom soap header, and added it into my message via IClientMessageInspector public object BeforeSendRequest(ref System.ServiceModel.Channels.Message request, System.ServiceModel.IClientChannel channel) { var header = new MessageHeader<AuthHeader>(); header.Content = new AuthHeader(Key); header.Actor = "Anyone"; var header2 = header.GetUntypedHeader("Auth", "xWow"); request.Headers.Add(header2); return null; } [DataContract(Name="Auth")] public class AuthHeader { public AuthHeader(string key) { this.Key = key; } [DataMember] public string Key { get; set; } } I also have an IDispatchMessageInspector, and I can find the correct header in the list. However, there is no value. I know that the value went across the wire correctly, because the message string is correct <s:Envelope xmlns:s=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\">\r\n <s:Header>\r\n <Auth s:actor=\"Anyone\" xmlns=\"xWow\" xmlns:i=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\">\r\n <Key xmlns=\"http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/xWow.Lib\">HERE IS MY KEY VALUE!!!!</Key>\r\n </Auth>\r\n <To s:mustUnderstand=\"1\" xmlns=\"http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none\">http://localhost:26443/AuthService.svc</To>\r\n <Action s:mustUnderstand=\"1\" xmlns=\"http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none\">http://tempuri.org/IAuthService/GetPayload</Action>\r\n </s:Header>\r\n <s:Body>\r\n <GetPayload xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\" />\r\n </s:Body>\r\n</s:Envelope>" But there does not seem to be any property to retrieve this value. The MessageHeaderInfo class has Actor, etc, but nothing else useful I can find. On the client side I had to convert between Header and Untyped header, is there an equivalent operation on the server?

• Parsing SOAP XML in Oracle

I am using the XML parser in Oracle (XMLType) with XPath but am struggling since I can't figure out the way to parse the SOAP request because it has multiple namespaces. • Help with SOAP request using PHP

- by mptre
I'm having a SOAP related problem in PHP. I'm trying to create arbitrary SOAP request using Nusoap_client class. The complete request including headers should look like the example below. Ofcourse the placeholders (string) should be replaced with actual values. POST /services/RecipeCouponAPI11.asmx HTTP/1.1 Host: example.com Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: length SOAPAction: "http://www.example.com/services/GetCouponAll" <soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Header> <RCAuthenticator xmlns="http://www.example.com/services/"> <UserName>string</UserName> <Password>string</Password> </RCAuthenticator> </soap:Header> <soap:Body> <GetCouponAll xmlns="http://www.example.com/services/"> <campaignCode>string</campaignCode> </GetCouponAll> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> I tried the following code with no luck. Seems like the request isn't formated correctly. Any ideas on how to get his working? <?php $client = new Nusoap_client('http://www.example.com/services/RecipeCouponAPI11.asmx'); $headers = new SoapHeader( 'http://www.example.com/services/', 'RCAuthenticator', (object)array( 'UserName' => 'username', 'Password' => 'password' ), false ); $client->setHeaders(array($headers)); $response = $client->call( 'GetCouponAll', array('campaignCode' => 'campaigncode'), null, 'http://www.example.com/services/GetCouponAll' ); ?> Thanks in advantage!

• JAX-WS client with AXIS server; namespace problem?

- by Jarno
I'm having a problem related to JAX-WS and AXIS. JAX-WS (2.1.7) as a client, Axis (1.4.x) as server. Everything works OK, but the response can't be read to Java. Response: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <ns1:myserviceResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns1="http://my/service"> <ns1:myserviceReturn xsi:type="xsd:string">responsestring</ns1:myserviceReturn> </ns1:myserviceResponse> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> The problem is that if "ns1:"-namespace declaration is removed from myserviceReturn, JAX-WS is able to return else than null. Does anyone have a clue how to force JAX-WS to ignore namespaces, how to modify SOAP response manually to exclude "ns1", or other ideas for this kind of problem? Any help is appreciated!!!

Can anyone help me see why NSXMLParser is not causing these methods parser:didStartElement:namespaceURI:qualifiedName:attributes: parser:didEndElement:namespaceURI:qualifiedName:attributes: to fire for the part of the following data: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><SOAP-ENV:Body><ns1:NDFDgenResponse xmlns:ns1=""><dwmlOut xsi:type="xsd:string"> <dwml version="1.0" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://www.nws.noaa.gov/forecasts/xml/DWMLgen/schema/DWML.xsd"> (body excluded) </dwml> </dwmlOut></ns1:NDFDgenResponse></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope> I'm not an XML expert, but to me, the part looks like just a regular element, to be parsed just like the parts before it. I do get two parser:parseErrorOccurred: errors, #200 and #201, but they occur during the parsing of the <SOAP-ENV:Body> element, not the element, so I'm not sure if they are relevant. Thanks for any help you can give me.

• implementing Ws-security within WCF proxy

- by harrisonmeister
Hi, I have imported an axis based wsdl into a VS 2008 project as a service reference. I need to be able to pass security details such as username/password and nonce values to call the axis based service. I have looked into doing it for wse, which i understand the world hates (no issues there) I have very little experience of WCF, but have worked how to physically call the endpoint now, thanks to SO, but have no idea how to set up the SoapHeaders as the schema below shows: <S:Envelope xmlns:S="http://www.w3.org/2001/12/soap-envelope" xmlns:ws="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2002/04/secext"> <S:Header> <ws:Security> <ws:UsernameToken> <ws:Username>aarons</ws:Username> <ws:Password>snoraa</ws:Password> </ws:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> ••• </S:Header> ••• </S:Envelope> Any help much appreciated Thanks, Mark

• Why would a WebService return nulls when the actual service returns data?

- by Jerry
I have a webservice (out of my control) that I have to talk to. I also have a packet-sniffer on the line, and (SURPRISE!!!) the developers of the webservice aren't lying. They are actually sending back all of the data that I requested. But the web-service code that is auto-generated from the WSDL file is giving me "null" as a value. I used their WSDL file to generate my Web Reference. I checked my data types with the datatypes that the WSDL file has declared. And I used the code as listed below to perform the calls: DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest req = new DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest(); req.MaterialNumber = "101*"; req.DocumentNo = ""; req.Description = "Pipe*"; req.Plant = "0000"; MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OBService srv = new MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OBService(); DT_MaterialMaster_Response resp = srv.MI_MaterialMaster_Lookup_OB(new DT_MaterialMaster_LookupRequest[] { req }); // Note that the response here is ALWAYS null!! Console.WriteLine(resp.Status); The resp object is an actual object. It was generated properly. However, the Status and MaterialData fields are always null. When I call the web service, I've placed a packet-sniffer on the line, and I can see that I've sent the following (linebreaks and indentions for my own sanity): <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <soap:Body> <MT_MaterialMaster_Lookup xmlns="http://MyCompany.com/SomeCompany/mm/MaterialMasterSearch"> <Request xmlns=""> <MaterialNumber>101*</MaterialNumber>
Pipe*
<DocumentNo /> <Plant>0000</Plant> </Request> </MT_MaterialMaster_Lookup> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> The response that they send back SEEMS to be a valid response (linebreaks and indentions for my own sanity): <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'> <SOAP:Header /> <SOAP:Body> <n0:MT_MaterialMaster_Response xmlns:n0='http://MyCompany.com/SomeCompany/mm/MaterialMasterSearch' xmlns:prx='urn:SomeCompany.com:proxy:BRD:/1SAI/TAS4FE14A2DE960D61219AE:701:2009/02/10'> <Response> <Status>No Rows Found</Status> <MaterialData /> </Response> </n0:MT_MaterialMaster_Response> </SOAP:Body> </SOAP:Envelope> The status shows that it actually received data... but the resp.Status and resp.MaterialData fields are always null. What have I done wrong? • How do I process multipart http responses in Ruby Net:HTTP?

- by seal-7
There is so much information out there on how to generate multipart responses or do multipart file uploads. I can't seem to find any information on how to process a multipart http response. Here is some IRB output from a multipart http response I am working with. >> response.http.content_type => "multipart/related" >> response.http.body[0..2048] => "\r\n------=_Part_3_806633756.1271797659309\r\nContent-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8\r\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: binary\r\nContent-Id: <A0FCC4333C6D0FCA346B97FAB6B61818>\r\n\r\n<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><soapenv:Body><ns1:runReportResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-encoding" xmlns:ns1="http://192.168.1.200:8080/jasperserver/services/repository"><ns2:result xmlns:ns2="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-rpc">runReportReturn</ns2:result><runReportReturn xsi:type="xsd:string"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>\n<operationResult version="2.0.1">\n\t<returnCode><![CDATA[0]]></returnCode>\n</operationResult>\n</runReportReturn></ns1:runReportResponse></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>\r\n------=_Part_3_806633756.1271797659309\r\nContent-Type: application/pdf\r\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: binary\r\nContent-Id: <report>\r\n\r\n%PDF-1.4\n%\342\343\317\323\n3 0 obj

• how to read http response soap headers from web service response in proxy class

- by Fabricio
I'm having some problems with one webservice that i'm working with. I generated a proxy class with wsdl.exe that comes with .net framework. But that webservice return a header that isnt not mapped by the wsdl. I must map the header sop because it contains some properties that i have to read and work with. how can i read the soap's header collection? Ex.: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <soap:Header xmlns="http://xml.amadeus.com/ws/2009/01/WBS_Session-2.0.xsd"> <Session> <SessionId>545784545</SessionId> <SequenceNumber>1</SequenceNumber> <SecurityToken>asd7a87sda89sd45as4d5a4</SecurityToken> </Session> </soap:Header> <soap:Body> <TAM_Altea_Seguranca_AutenticarRS xmlns="http://xml.amadeus.com/2009/04/TAM/TAM_Altea_Seguranca_AutenticarRS_2.0"> <statusDoProcesso> <codigoDoStatus>P</codigoDoStatus> </statusDoProcesso> </TAM_Altea_Seguranca_AutenticarRS> </soap:Body> </soap:Envelope> I need to read the SOAP:HEADER - Session.

• Axis webservice calls fail sometimes, access.log shows content!

- by epischel
Hi, our app is a webservice client (axis 1) to a third party webservice (also axis 1). We use it for some years now. Since a few weeks, we (as a client) get sometimes HTTP status 400 (bad request) or read timeouts when calling the webservice. Strangely, the access.log of the service shows part of the request or the response instead of the URL. It looks like this (looks like the end of the request string) x.x.x.x -> y.y.y.y:8080 - - [timestamp] "POST /webservice HTTP/1.0" 200 16127 0 x.x.x.x -> y.y.y.y:8080 - - [timestamp] "POST /webservice HTTP/1.0" 200 22511 1 x.x.x.x -> y.y.y.y:8080 - - [timestamp] "il=\"true\"/><nsl:text xsi:type=\"xsd:string\" xsi:nil=\"true\"/></SOAPSomeOperation></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope> Axis/1.4" 400 299 0 or (some string out of the what looks like the request) x.x.x.x -> y.y.y.y:8080 - - [timestamp] ":string\">some text</sometag><othertag>moretext" 400 299 0 or in some other cases it looks like two requests thrown together (... means xml string left out): x.x.x.x -> y.y.y.y:8080 - - [timestamp] "...</someop></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>:xsd=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema\"...</soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>" 400 299 0 Application log does not give any hints. Frequency of such call is 1% of all calls to that service. The only discriminator I know of so far is that it happens since operations informed us that the service url changed because of "server migration". Has anyone experienced such phenomenon yet? Has somebody got an idea whats wrong and how to fix? Thanks,
