  • asp:SqlDataSource binded to asp:DropDownList

    I have a asp:SqlDataSource and asp:DropDownList components on my page. On normal page it works ok. Now I'd like to put this on new page with url like ...mypage.aspx?transactionID=2. In Page_Load I would like to set Transaction drop down selected index to 2. But it always binds to 1. I assume, that things happen in this order: in Page_Load I set selected index to 2. Then asp:SqlDataSource's select statement executes and binds to DropDownList. That's why selected index of my DropDownList is always 1, no matter what I set it in Page_Load. So, how can I bind asp:SqlDataSource to asp:DropDownList and also set it's selected index parameter to some integer?

  • ParseKit.framework won't work, Foundation.h not found

    I'm really stumped trying to get the ParseKit.framework (this) to work in general, not even bothering to implement it till it runs the demo app that comes with it. What happens is the compiler can't locate < Foundation/Foundation.h or something, which I thought the header was in the linked framework. Exact error: "Lexical or Preprocessor Issue: 'Foundation/Foundation.h' file not found." Here's the code, just from the ParseKit_Prefix.pch: // // Prefix header for all source files of the 'ParseKit' target in the 'ParseKit' project. //#ifdef __OBJC__ #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #endif Nothing unusual about it, did I mess up the file paths some how? I've reinstalled Xcode, re-downloaded the ParseKit, and nothing is helping. The suggestions here did nothing and it's not this. When I make a new project or use a different project and load the Foundation.framework and #import the header it works just fine. If I unlink the framework I can't find it to re-link again. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? Did I download it wrong somewhere? I have a very difficult time finding where exactly the Xcode UI links stuff, apple must get a kick out of frustrating people, so if anyone has anything they can think of please give me some feedback, I'm horribly confused right now.     I'd love to be able to prevent dragging of a HDividedBox's divider based on a condition. for example: <mx:HDividedBox id="hd1" liveDragging="true" dividerDrag="dividerDragHandler(event)"> <Canvas id="c1"/> <Canvas id="c2"/> </HDividedBox> private function dividerDragHandler(event:DividerEvent):void { if (_something 10) { event.preventDefault(); } } Any ideas how I can do something like that?     How do you setup a project that can result in a jar library file that can be used for android? I want to create a custom library across all projects. Few other questions: Does it need to be compiled against a specific version of android sdk? When an android package is compiled against a jar library does the classes necessary to work with the code get compiled with main code into the apk or does the entire jar get included? Any notable optimizations or pitfalls I need to know about with using a jar instead of integrating the code directly? Does the jar have to be signed like the apk needs to?

  • zip -j command, what does the -j option mean?

    Wondering what is the -j option mean in the zip command. I found the explanation as following: -j Store just the name of a saved file (junk the path), and do not store directory names. By default, zip will store the full path (relative to the current path). But not quite sure what it is exact mean? Can anyone explain it using the following command as an example? C:\programs\zip -j myzipfile file1 file2 file3 Thank you.

    I really need help working with cases, I'm only learning it so far, but just can't get a drop down menu to work that would change the background of a Textbox. In the dropdown menu, it has Red, Blue and Green one per line When the value (e.g. Green) is clicked, it will then change the Textbox to the colour selected. Many help appreciated :)

  • How to detect unresolved symbol when creating a library ?

    Hello everyone, Under Solaris 10, I'm creating a library A.so that calls a function f() which is defined in library B.so. To compile the library A.so, I declare in my code f() as extern. Unfortunately, I "forgot" to declare in A's makefile that it has to link with B. However, "make A" causes no warning, no error, and the library A.so is created. Of course, when executing A's code, the call of f() crashes because it is undefined. Is there a way (linker option, code trick...) to make the compilation of library A fail ? How can I be sure that all symbols refered to in library A are defined at compile time ? Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello, I want to pass an environment variable in linux to apache on start up. export MYVAR=5 --I define my environment variable on the command line PassEnv MYVAR --set apache to import the variable in apache config file apachectl restart --when I restart apache I don't get an error message. However I have noticed that if I do not create the environment variable in my first step, I get a warning message, so must be working here echo $_SERVER['MYVAR'] --i try to access the environment variable within PHP but it is not defined I've observed that if I try to PassEnv an environment variable that already exits (one that I havn't created myself) it works fine. The SetEnv directive also works fine. I'd really like to pass an environment variable to apache on the fly without writing it in a file. Help much appreciated. I'm using CentOS, PHP5 and Apache2. Thanks.

    I usually use ORM instead of SQL and I am slightly out of touch on the different JOINs... SELECT `order_invoice`.*, `client`.*, `order_product`.*, SUM(product.cost) as net FROM `order_invoice` LEFT JOIN `client` ON order_invoice.client_id = client.client_id LEFT JOIN `order_product` ON order_invoice.invoice_id = order_product.invoice_id LEFT JOIN `product` ON order_product.product_id = product.product_id WHERE (order_invoice.date_created >= '2009-01-01') AND (order_invoice.date_created <= '2009-02-01') GROUP BY `order_invoice`.`invoice_id` The tables/ columns are logically names... it's an shop type application... the query works... it's just very very slow... I use the Zend Framework and would usually use Zend_Db_Table_Row::find(Parent|Dependent)Row(set)('TableClass') but I have to make lots of joins and I thought it'll improve performance by doing it all in one query instead of hundreds... Can I improve the above query by using more appropriate JOINs or a different implementation? Many thanks.

    I am trying to write a python program using Python 3 I have to open a text file and read a list of names, print the list, sort the list in alphabetical order and then finally re-print the list. There's a little more to it than that BUT the problem I am having is that I'm supposed to print the list of names with each name on a separate line Instead of printing each name on a separate line, it prints the list all on one line.     I can use this code to get the return address. string returnAddress = Bus.CurrentMessageContext.ReturnAddress; But how do i get the "to address" of the message. i.e. the Queue that NServiceBus pulled the message from. I had a look through the source and it seems Bus.Transport.Address is what i want but there is no get on Transport Note: I am within the "Handle" method of a message handler.

    Hi, I'm just starting to use the TestHelpers in MvcContrib. I want to try and test an action method on my controller that itself tests if IsAjaxRequest() is true. I've used the same code that is shown in the TestHelper samples to set up the TestControllerBuilder _controller = new StarsController(); _builder = new TestControllerBuilder(); _builder.InitializeController(_controller); So that _controller has all the faked/mocked HttpContext inside it, which is really great. But what do I do now to force IsAjaxRequest() on the internally faked Request object to return true?

  • How to pull a RANDOM and UNIQUE record from SQL via LINQ.

    Okay, I found lots of posts on SO about how to pull a RANDOM item from the database when using LINQ. There seems to be a couple of differnet ways to handle this. What I need to do though is pull a RANDOM item from the database that the user has not seen before. The data I am pulling from the database is very small. Is there any way I can just hit the database once for 1000 records and then randomly scroll through those? Should I put a cookie on the users system recording the IDs of which items they have seen, pull a random record, check to see if it is seen and if so, pull from the database again? That seems like performance issues just waiting to happen. I don't expect anyone to code it for me, I am just looking for concepts and pointing in the right direction of how I should go about this. Need more details? Just let me know!
