  Hello everybody, There are string length limitations in database structure (email is declared as nvarchar[30] for instance) There are lots of html forms that has input textbox fields that should be limited in length for that reason. What is the best practice to synchronize database fields and html layout input fields length limitations ? Can it be done automatically (html layout input fields declared the same max length as database data they represent)? Thank you in advance.

  I have a document storage application that I need to integrate with a scanner software or create one on my own. I have very limited funding so buying an expensive alternative isn't really an option. I thought about just linking to the customer's scanning software's executable and opening it when they want to scan but that just seems like a bad way of doing it.   Hi, I need to define an appender for log4net in a way that I get one log file for each day, but the total number of files are limited to, let's say, 30. That is I want to keep only the logs not older then 30 days, delete the older ones. I've tried doing it with RollingFileAppender, but it seems that specifying a limit of files to keep is not supported. Do you know of an alternative solution that I could use?

• DNS resolve without depending on router for asterisk system

  Hello, Basically I have a Debian box running asterisk assigned an IP via DHCP with host-name XXX. My windows browser can resolve the host-name but if I use host-name in X-Lite or my SPA922 phone it fails to resolve. Is there any way of getting this to work without depending on the router or assigning a static IP (request is to make it portable). I was thinking zero-conf but am unsure (box has limited HDD too). Any help is most appreciated.

Why does the following query not utilize this index? explain select c from t group by c; The result I get is: HashAggregate (cost=1005817.55..1005817.71 rows=16 width=4) -> Seq Scan on t (cost=0.00..946059.84 rows=23903084 width=4) My understanding of indexes is limited, but I thought such queries were the purpose of indexes.

  So, I realize that const T& and T const& are identical and both mean a reference to a const T. In both cases, the reference is also constant (references cannot be reassigned, unlike pointers). I can see examples on wikipedia, but I am looking for more concrete examples and how they're used. For example primary keys in databases are (from what I've read) stored in BST structure or a variation of the BST (feel free to correct me on this) My question isn't limited Binary Search Trees (BSTs), it can include any variation such as red-black, AVL and so on.
