  • Why doesn't SuperGenPass work on some sites when I use Chrome?

    Bookmarklet SuperGenPass sometime fails to popup when I click the bookmark in Chrome. It does however work when on the same page works in Firefox; an example is http://www.engadget.com/login This behaviour also replicated on a new Chrome tab (understandably, there is no domain), but some sites just fail to launch it meaning you have to go to another site, open it up, enter in [something] to get the 'Regenerate password' link, enter the domain manually then finally enter your master password to get the generated password! Something about the makeup of the page seems to make SuperGenPass think that it isn't able/required to popup. The FAQ doesn't make any mention of this fact, neither does a quick Google turn up anything that looks relevant. Does anyone else have the same issue? How can it be fixed? I'm on Windows using the current release of Chrome (5.x at the moment, but probably 18.x by the time you read this next week based on Google's seemingly logarithmic release numbering).

    Hi! I have a login page with an input of type "password" I would like to have a virtual keyboard to enter the password. I've searched and I found the jquery script for virtual keyboard. The code said to add this to my page $('input[type=password]').keyboard({ layout: "qwerty", customLayout: [["q w e r t y {bksp}", "Q W E R T Y {bksp}"], ["s a m p l e {shift}", "S A M P L E {shift}"], ["{accept} {space} {cancel}", "{accept} {space} {cancel}"]] }); but I cant make it work!!!! nothing happens when y set focus on my password control.     After installing IIS on my dev system, window xp professional, its asking for username and password while trying to access http://localhost. Can you please help me out. Tried googling and tried may things but could not resolve the issue.     I was too excited when object initializer appeared in C#. MyClass a = new MyClass(); a.Field1 = Value1; a.Field2 = Value2; can be rewritten shorter: MyClass a = new MyClass { Field1 = Value1, Field2 = Value2 } Object initializer code is more obvious but when properties number come to dozen and some of the assignment deals with nullable values it's hard to debug where the "null reference error" is. Studio shows the whole object initializer as error point. Nowadays I use object initializer for straightforward assignment only for error-free properties. How do you use object initializer for complex assignment or it's a bad practice to use dozen of assigments at all? Thank you in advance!

  • Toggle "ask for password after screensaver/sleep" or the delay in 10.7 using terminal

    There's an option in the preference panel to change the time the mac is able to be in sleep/screensaver before requiring a password to be unlocked again. I'm using OS X Lion 10.7. Is there any way to change this setting using the terminal or an applescript? I tried to change the plist file using: defaults write com.apple.screensaver askForPasswordDelay -int 60 also tried defaults write com.apple.screensaver askForPasswordDelay -float 60 also completely disabling the password didnt work either defaults write com.apple.screensaver askForPassword -int 0 The plist file was changed, but it had no effects at all. It's the same plist file that gets changed when manually switching the setting in the preferences. Would be awesome if anyone got an idea how to fix my problem. EDIT: also tried to: 1) add -currentHost flag 2) drop the -int / -float

  • Setting subversion "password-stores" does nothing?

    The Subversion documentation says that I can set a parameter in ~/.subversion/config like [auths] password-stores = gnome-keyring to have it cache my certificate password in gnome-keyring. I set the option, and nothing happens -- no error messages, no change in behavior, nothing. Maybe I'm missing a log somewhere? I know subversion has to be compiled to support this but AFAIK I'm using the RPM version, which (they say...) ships with it rolled in. Is there a way to check whether my binary supports keyring? Shouldn't it say something if it doesn't?

  • Why does Public Folder share prompt for password even after I set "Turn off password protected sharing"

    I have a fileserver on a WORKGROUP which I have created a share on. I have turned on public folder sharing, file and printing sharing and set password protected sharing to off. When I try to share the folder by right clicking it and selecting proerties, then selecting sharing tab, then clicking the "share" button, then clicking share, it prompts me asking wether or not I want to turn on network discovery for public network, and after I say either yes or no, it says that my folder cant be shared. When I try to share via advanced sharing, then the folder is shared, and it's status is set to shared. However when I try to access this folder from a computer on the same network, it prompts me to enter a username and password. I am trying to setup a share for my VMware ThinApp packages that can be access no matter what domain the users are on.

    I have set up my server to allow key/pair authentication by following instructions similar to what is found in this post. As far as I can tell that is working correctly. If I do the following, for example, it works correctly: ssh [email protected] It will NOT prompt me for a password. This is what I want to happen. However if I write a small bash script like this: #!/bin/bash -x ssh [email protected] and execute with: sudo ./mytestscript.sh ...it will prompt me with: [email protected]'s password: What am I doing wrong? I need to be able to login from within my script without being prompted for a password!

    I run XAMPP, a few days back i had set up a password for the root password through phpmyadmin I am not able to access phpMyAdmin ever since that moment I followed help on this link but everything seems fine there (in config.inc.php). I even tried unistalling xampp fully, restarting windows and then reinstalling xampp, but still pointing to localhost/phpmyadmin I get the following error MySQL said: Cannot connect: invalid settings. phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server. I Also tried to reset root password through mysqld.bat as given on mysql's website help but to no avail Please Help!

    I have inherited a laptop running Windows XP 64bit professional from a former system admin of my Lab. The laptop is encrypted with TrueCrypt and luckily I have a password for TrueCrypt and can boot and login into the guest account. However this is where my problems starts. There are four account on the laptop three of which do have administrative privileges. However nobody of two formers members of the lab and one current member remember their passwords. I was given the assignment of recovering 2TB of data from that laptop. How does one go about reseting administrative password in Windows in particularly in the presence of TrueCrypt? If you are wondering I have never used Windows in my life so the only thing I usually with any Windows machine is just wipe out entire HDD and install OpenBSD.

For example DAL library often shared between projects (it's reusable) but how often controllers/views (abstracted via interfaces) are reused?

  • How to connect to a third party website in classic asp using javascript for password encryption and yet not giving in the password.

    Hi I have to make changes to classic asp website where once a button is clicked it autologins to a third party website with a intermediate page that warns that you are logging in to a third party website. The thirdparty is providing us with a username and password and gave us an examle javascript to encode the password to send to them. Now where do I store the userid and password. I cannot execute the javascript on the serverside. It has to go to the client. If the asp page which has the encryption javascript goes to the client side then the source can be viewed and the username and password is given out. Is there a way that I can have hidden asp page whose only job is to encrypt the password and create a new url and auto redirect it to that new url. So when the user clicks ok on the intermediate warning page I redirect it to this hidden asp page which does the encryption and a creates a url for get method and redirects to that page. I am a novice as far as java script and classic asp is concerned. Any ideas/ advice will be appreciated. Thanks, --Abbi

    I'm trying to integrate vBulliten and Django's user databases. I know vB uses a md5 algorithm to hash it's passwords, with a salt. I have the salt data and the password for each vB user, and would like to know how to import those accounts onto Django. I've tried the obvious, changing the Django user's password to; md5$vb's_salt$vb's_password This just throws back Django's log-in form, with a message saying "username and password does not match" Any ideas?

I am running CentOS 5.6 and only have OpenSSH 4.3. Is there any way to achieve this with my current setup? I don't want to restrict the server to keys only because if I lose my key I lose my server ;-)

    I am a fan of True Crypt and I guess it's the best encryption tool available. As far as I understand, True Crypt created encrypted containers which acts a place to store files. But I would like to encrypt a single file. Preferably with a password and a special key file (like in truecrypt). It would be great (but not mandatory), if the file doesn't require any third party software to encrypt and decrypt, in the sense that I provide the password and key to the file directly.     This might sound like an odd question, but please hear me out. I want to setup my laptop to use TrueCrypt, but without a password. My wife doesn't travel much with her notebook. There are occasions where we will have to travel and bring the notebook with us. This is when we would like the have the encryption. The time it takes to to change the unlock pass-phrase is considerably less than it takes to encrypt the drive. My thoughts are to leave the disk encrypted but with no password. Then when it's time to pack for a trip and bring the laptop, we would then change the pass-phrase and create a rescue disk.
