  Is there any way to upload an image (UIImage) directly from an iPhone app to a user's wall/feed? All the samples I see are either using a json-embedded link or they use the photos.upload call with album ID (aid) which results in the user getting the image in his photo album(s). What I want to do is to upload an (UI)Image created (by the user) inside an iPhone app and upload to his/her wall. Is this possible? Sample code would be highly appreciated.

However, my site uses OpenID logins via the rpxnow.com implementation. Works fine in the web version, but my developer has told me that he cannot do rpxnow/openid logins from the AIR app because it doesn't allow pop-ups and/or redirects.   This is less a question and more a record of what I've found around the AVCam sample code provided by Apple for iOS4 and 5 camera manipulation. The symptoms of the problem for me were that my app would crash on launching the AVCamViewController after taking around 5-10 photos. I ran the app through the memory leak profiler and there were no apparent leaks but on inspection with the Activity Monitor I discovered that something called mediaserverd was increasing by 17Mb every time the camera was launched and when it reached ~100Mb the app crashed with multiple low memory warnings.

  My application lets the user save/load images with alpha values to the camera roll on the device. I can see in the Photos application that these images are appropriately alpha'd, as alpha'd areas just appear black. However, when I load these images back into the application using the valueForKey:UIImagePickerControllerOriginalImage message to the info dictionary from (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:(NSDictionary *)info, the alpha values are turned to just white, making those sections opaque. Is there a way to preserve these alpha values?
