  • SSL Ajax type of certificate for the static domain (image + js)

    Hi, I have a page that is SSL and has a valid certificate extended. (mainpage.com) But this page request some static content to another domain(page-static.com), basicly images and js. Actually i have only a certificate for my mainpage.com. So now when i request this page i get invalid ssl page because it contains invalid encrypted data (the one provided by the www.page-static.com) What kind of certificate do i need for the www.page-static.com. Do i need the same one as the mainpage.com, because this certificate are expensive (it's a extended certificate). Or a cheap certificate from godaddy will do the trick. This is another question do both certificates have to be signed by the same root provider and/or the same encryption key length (or it can be only 128 bits)? Thanks for your help

    can we do Static Content caching in Sticky Session Servers. We use SqlStateServer to store the Session of the user. right now we are doing performance tuning in our application, so we decided to cache the static Content(images, css, js) for the applicaiton. so that it loads faster. Is it Good to cache the static content in Sticky Session ? If it's good, then can any one give me some links where i can read about it. right now i done following settings in my web config file <staticContent> <clientCache cacheControlCustom="public" cacheControlMode="UseMaxAge" cacheControlMaxAge="500.00:00:00" /> </staticContent> can this is the good code ? will it not affect our sticky session environment ? my goal is to cache the static images, css, Js for the application

  • Nginx and Wordpress side-by-side with static directory alias?

    I'm a Nginx novice, but I have it set up with Wordpress Multisite (subdirectories) and php-fpm, and it's working great as is. This lets me set up Wordpress sites off the web root: domain.com/site1 - a Wordpress network single site, which renders as expected. domain.com/site2 - ditto etc. Concurrently, I can easily create static files in the web root that don't conflict or interact with Wordpress, and they are also rendered normally. domain.com/hello.html - rendered normally domain.com/hello.php - rendered normally, including php processing domain.com/static/hello.php - rendered normally (along as "static" isn't a WP single site name) What I'd like to do, and this is where I'm out of my depth with nginx.conf, is create a root directory domain.com/static and put static sites in there domain.com/static/site3 domain.com/static/site4 and have Nginx check the request that comes into the root request comes in for: domain.com/site3 and before handing off to Wordpress, check to see if it exists in the /static folder checks: domain.com/static/site3 - static content exists there and if so, serves that content while maintaining the root URI. serves: domain.com/site3 (with content from domain.com/static/site3) if not, it lets Wordpress check if /site3 is a Wordpress single network site as it does now, and the process continues normally. In nginx.conf, in the server section, I start with this try_files rule: location / { try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?q=$uri&$args; } I then include a bunch of Wordpress specific rules as identified at http://codex.wordpress.org/Nginx under the subdirectory section. I can see that rewrite rules might take care of it easily, but in my experimentation I've only achieved a bunch of looping (/static/static/static, etc.) and managed to bypass Wordpress if the looping stopped. Sorry if this is a very long-winded way of asking a simple question, but I'm definitely learning some of this stuff for the first time. Thanks!

  • Import EML emails into Outlook 2010 64-bit

    Evening everyone. I'm helping setup a small office network, where a number of old PC's are being replaced with new ones with a 64-bit copy of Outlook 2010. The old emails were stored in Windows Live Email, and were exported as .eml files (since we were replacing the machines). All the support I can find indicates that .eml files could simply be dragged-and-dropped into a folder in Outlook 2010, and it will import them correctly. However, it seems this is not the case in the 64-bit versioin, where dropping in .eml files results in a new message being created with these files as attachments. We can re-download the most of the emails off the server if need be, but there were user folders which were not on the server which we were hoping to import. Any advice would be fantastic at this point!

    Recently I started dealing with SQL Server, my previous experience was in MS-Access. When I'm doing an import/export of a db, from the server to my computer or even in the server, all column with primary key loose the key. Identity is set to false and even bit is not set to the default. How can I can I use an import/export job to make an exact copy of the db and its data? I don't want to have to perform a backup and restore every time I want the same db somewhere else, for another project, etc. I have read about "edit mapping" and the checkbox but that did not helped with the identity specification... and what about the primary key of the tables and the rest of the things?

  • How can you import a root certificate to a machine level store in Windows 7

    I have a service (Running as local system) that uses an SSL connection. Currently this connection fails because the remote host used a private CA to sign it's certificate. For previous operating systems, I used to use the certificate manager to import the CA cert into the local machine's Trusted Root certificates store. Though I can do the steps with a windows 7 machine, it seems after a reboot that the imported certificates are gone. Here are the steps I'm doing in Windows 7: Open mmc Add Certificates Snap-in for Local Machine Navigate to Third-Party Root Certification Authorities/Certificates Import Root CA Cert. The certificate seems to work fine, using internet explorer or the service to test the SSL connection works, but after a reboot it seems like the change is reverted.

  • Databinding in WinForms performing async data import

    I have a scenario where I have a collection of objects bound to a datagrid in winforms. If a user drags and drops an item on to the grid, I need to add a placeholder row into the grid and kick off a lengthy async import process. I need to communicate the status of the async import process back to the UI, updating the row in the grid and have the UI remain responsive to allow the user to edit the other rows. What's the best practice for doing this? My current solution is: binding a thread safe implementation of BindingList to the grid, filled with the objects that are displayed as rows in the grid. When a user drags and drops an item on to the grid, I create a new object containing the sparse info obtained from the dropped item and add that to the BindingList, disabling the editing of that row. I then fire off a separate thread to do the import, passing it the newly bound object I have just created to fill with data. The import process, periodically sets the status of the object and fires an event which is subscribed to by the UI telling it to refresh the grid to see the new properties on the object. Should I be passing the same object that is bound to the grid to the import process thread to operate on, or should I be creating a copy and merging back the changes to the object on the UI thread using BeginInvoke? Any problems or advice with this implementation? Thanks

    For my programming languages class one hw problem asks: Are local variables in FORTRAN static or stack dynamic? Are local variables that are INITIALIZED to a default value static or stack dynamic? Show me some code with an explanation to back up your answer. Hint: The easiest way to check this is to have your program test the history sensitivity of a subprogram. Look at what happens when you initialize the local variable to a value and when you don’t. You may need to call more than one subprogram to lock in your answer with confidence. I wrote a few subroutines: - create a variable - print the variable - initialize the variable to a value - print the variable again Each successive call to the subroutine prints out the same random value for the variable when it is uninitialized and then it prints out the initialized value. What is this random value when the variable is uninitialized? Does this mean Fortran uses the same memory location for each call to the subroutine or it dynamically creates space and initializes the variable randomly? My second subroutine also creates a variable, but then calls the first subroutine. The result is the same except the random number printed of the uninitialized variable is different. I am very confused. Please help! Thank you so much.

    I'm confused how to import a SQL dump file. I can't seem to import the database without creating the database first in MySQL. This is the error displayed when database_name has not yet been created: username = username of someone with access to the database on the original server. database_name = name of database from the original server $ mysql -u username -p -h localhost database_name < dumpfile.sql Enter password: ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'database_name' If I log into MySQL as root and create the database, database_name mysql -u root create database database_name; create user username;# same username as the user from the database I got the dump from. grant all privileges on database_name.* to username@"localhost" identified by 'password'; exit mysql then attempt to import the sql dump again: $ mysql -u username -p database_name < dumpfile.sql Enter password: ERROR 1007 (HY000) at line 21: Can't create database 'database_name'; database exists How am I supposed to import the SQL dumpfile?

    Hello, I am working on creating and linking shared library (.so). While working with them, many questions popped up which i could not find satisying answers when i searched for them, hence putting them here. The questions about shared libraries i have are: 1.) How is shared library different than static library? What are the Key differences in way they are created, they execute? 2.) In case of a shared library at what point are the addresses where a particular function in shared library will be loaded and run from, given? Who gives those functions is load/run addresses? 3.) Will an application linked against shared library be slower in execution as compared to that which is linked with a static library? 4.) Will application executable size differ in these two cases? 5.) Can one do source level debugging of by stepping into functions defined inside a shared library? Is any thing extra needed to make these functions visible to the application? 6.) But when I requested localhost:8888 I got a (huge) stack trace originating from an ImportError: <type 'exceptions.ImportError'>: No module named mysite I can import the module from the interpreter, and if i just execute index.rpy as a python script, I don't get the import error. The documentation on this subject is a bit vague, it just says "However, it is often a better idea to define Resource subclasses in Python modules. In order for changes in modules to be visible, you must either restart the Python process, or reload the module:" (from here). Does anyone know the proper way to do this?

  • Why a "private static" is not seen in a method?

    I have a class with the following declaration of the fields: public class Game { private static String outputFileName; .... } I set the value of the outputFileName in the main method of the class. I also have a write method in the class which use the outputFileName. I always call write after main sets value for outputFileName. But write still does not see the value of the outputFileName. It say that it's equal to null. Could anybody, pleas, tell me what I am doing wrong?   • sql server: import operation won't copy full schema

    I recall that the import tool in sql server 2000 would copy indexes, relationships, etc. In sql server 2005/2008 the import tool in SSMS will only create the tables, copy the data, but the keys, indexes, relationships are missing. I can find no option in the import wizard to enable this? What am I missing here? Is this not possible anymore for any good reason?

  • Import-Pssession is not importing cmdlets when used in a custom module

    I have a PowerShell script/function that works great when I use it in my PowerShell profile or manually copy/paste the function in the PowerShell window. I'm trying to make the function accessible to other members of my team as a module. I want to have the module stored in a central place so we can all add it to our PSModulePath. Here is a copy of the basic function: Function Connect-O365{ $o365cred = Get-Credential [email protected] $session365 = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri https://ps.outlook.com/powershell/ -Credential $o365cred -Authentication Basic -AllowRedirection Import-PSSession $session365 -AllowClobber } If I save this function in my PowerShell profile it works fine. I can dot source a *.ps1 script with this function in it and it works as well. The issue is when I save the function as a *.psm1 PowerShell script module. The function runs fine but none of the exported commands from the Import-PSSession are available. I think this may have something to do with the module scope. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get around this.   • Django "Error: cannot import name escape" on windows

    I cannot run the dev server because of this error ("Error: cannot import name escape"). I assume its because of modifications I've done to the project, but i have no idea how to find where the error is originating from to fix it. I don't import anything called escape anywhere. Update Using django-admin.py rather than the projects manage.py, don't know why... Update 2 Now manage.py is working. This may be because I had a file called email.py which was trying to import email.mime.text (ie trying to import itself) renaming to sendemail.py solved this problem.
