in wordpress.com blogs this is working, but on a newly installed wordpress blog it is not. So I assume there is a plugin for this. I tried wp-syntax and bbcode plugins - no success. So, which is this plugin, that allows programming language code to be highlighted
Hi all,
Please redirect me if there is a similar question, but I have an ECS P4VXASD2+ (V5.0) motherboard, which supports a 533 MHz FSB. I want to put in a Pentium 4 3.2 GHz processor (Socket 478) with an FSB of 800 MHz. Would this be possible? Would the FSB of the processor just be limited to 533 MHz?
Thanks in advance.
Is there a programmer's text editor (line numbers, syntax highlighting) for Windows 7 that offers

Free is nice, commercial with demo is acceptable.
I'm looking for DNS software that can accomplish the following:
Check health of all A records at set intervals
If server is unresponsive after multiple successive checks, replace A record with a working server
When a server is down, check it periodically. Once it's up, restore normal A records
Here's an equivalent I thought of:
Run DNS servers with very low TTL (minutes)
Use a cron job to periodically query all webservers
Use sed to replace A records if need be, and then restart DNS server
I have a hard time believing there isn't already something that can accomplish the above. I'm not looking for a paid service, and I'm restricted to anything I can run with root access to a VPS. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
What is needed in the tfs 2010 build agent, to build .net 4.5 projects, in tfs 2008 we had to set the MSBuildPath property, but the configuration seems to be different in 2010.
I get the following error message.
(614): The imported project "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v11.0\WebApplications\Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" was not found. Confirm that the path in the declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk.
How we handled it in 2008

my title might not be very clear, but I'll explain my setup in more detail now.
We have several customers (companies) that need to be remotely supported. At these customers we have servers running with our software that needs to be serviced. These servers are (almost) never connected to the internet. For this we have multiple PC's running VPN clients. These PC's run a VNC server so our service engineers can login from their home laptop remotely to these PC's and connect from there to our customer via the VPN connection on the PC.
The problem is however that several customers do not allow split tunneling. That means that when we connect via VPN to such a customer the VNC connection drops. Our current workaround is using a Citrix VM which we control via XenCenter console, but it's quite slow.
Are there common solutions to handle this?
This is a question relating to one of my builds. Here are the specs:
ECS P4VXASD2+ V5.0 motherboard
Intel P4 Northwood 2.8 GHz (533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2)
2x 1GB PC3200 DDR RAM
Maxtor 300GB IDE HDD
16 MB NVIDIA TNT2 Pro AGP
OKIA 300W ATX PSU
Gigabyte 52x CD-ROM
The issue right now is that I'm trying to install Windows XP from the CD drive but the computer randomly restarts partway through installation. My other build was BSODing due to RAM latency errors. This ECS board manual states that memory modules "up to 333 MHz" (i.e. PC2700) is supported. However, I am running PC3200 modules, which is clearly faster than PC2700. Would this be causing the computer from randomly restarting?
EDIT 1: I also wanted to mention that my Emachines T2482 is actually running 2x 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM when it should only be supporting PC1600 and PC2100 DDR RAM. Yet there are no issues with it.
I'm looking for a regular expression based search/replace GUI tool that is able to handle multiple files/subdirectories, something like grepWin but for Mac OS X.
PS. I'm aware of grep and I don't need an editor, just a standalone tool.
I need a database engine that can utilize multiple servers for processing a single SQL query in parallel. So far I know that this is possible with the some engines, though none of them are feasible for me either because of pricing or missing features. The engines currently known to me are:
MS SQL (enterprise)
DB2 (enterprise)
Oracle (enterprise)
GridSQL
Greenplum
Which other engines have this feature? Do you have any experience with using this feature?
Edit: I have now proposed a method for creating one myself. Any input is welcome.
Edit: I have found another one: Informix Extended Parallel Server
I have enabled SSI using the following directives in .htaccess
AddHandler server-parsed .html
AddOutputFilter INCLUDES html
However when I add these, the trailing slash redirects stop working.
For eg. http://testwp.humbug.in/test/index.html works fine
but
http://testwp.humbug.in/test/ doesn't work.
In chrome it gives a "Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)" error while in firefox it shows a blank page.
What additional configuration do I need for both mod_dir and mod_include to work properly?
I've been having problems with my wireless. I moved to a new apartment, and the wireless seems incredibly unreliable. Sometimes it will be stable for hours until, all of a sudden, it starts cutting in and out. I'll get 30-90 seconds of normal behavior, then 5-30 seconds of nothing, then repeat. Sometimes the connection will stop working entirely, until I power-cycle the router.
It is extremely, extremely annoying. Surfing the web isn't too bad, assuming you can stand the random 5-30 second waits. But some connections are sensitive enough to timeout, and it certainly makes multiplayer games unplayable.
Facts:
I confirmed the problem using ping google.com -t. I get normal traffic, interspersed with bursts of "Request timed out.".
I've never had this problem before with this laptop.
I didn't bring my own router or modem to the apartment. I'm using what the old tenant had.
Hooking directly to the modem via an ethernet cable results in a stable connection.
Temporarily cutting power to the router sometimes fixes the problem. Sometimes it doesn't.
I reset the router, but the problem remained.
Apparently the previous tenant had issues with the internet, but I don't know what they were specifically.
The router is a D-Link DIR-615, and their tech support is useless.
I recently installed Windows 8 from MSDN. I used to install Linux within Windows in my Windows operating systems.
But when I tried to install my Ubuntu 10.10 with Wubi installer the option to install with wubi was disabled.
Help me to install Ubuntu with Wubi installer on Windows 8 if Windows 8 supports it. If it does not, please recommend any other alternative to Wubi. I use Wubi mainly because I can easily remove the Linux operating system.
I am looking for an all-in-one solution which can do at least the first 2, preferably all 3 of the following steps from my current manual process:
Podcast download (currently using iTunes)
Search for and download matching Cue Sheet from web (currently using CueNation)
Use the CUE file to split the MP3 (currently using Medieval CUE Splitter)
Does such a thing exist?
Or do I have to break out my C# skills?
I've tried to copy text from Vim window to somewhere but it doesn't work.
Decisions which I've found with google didn't help too. For instance, using the registers "* and "+.
Command vim version is (Ubuntu 12.04. Vim 7.3):
vim --version | grep clipboard
-clientserver -clipboard +cmdline_compl +cmdline_hist +cmdline_info +comments
-xterm_clipboard -xterm_save
Can you help me to solve it? Should I use other vim version or are there any methods to copy text from Vim to something else?
Through numerous bad experiences, I have learned that the most likely cause of laptop "failure" is the lack of updated drivers for new operating systems. As an example, I have a perfectly good Thinkpad T42 at home which runs Windows 7 just fine for my purposes except that no compatible ATI video drivers are available, and the generic drivers have flicker effects.
I recently saw an ASUS laptop which looked quite nice except that I would be beholden to them to release ATI video driver updates customized for it. And, I can't trust them to do that for more than six months.
What laptops (manufacturer/line) should I consider so that I could expect at least a couple years of frequent updates? I plan on running Windows 7 and installing whatever successor comes out.
I like Intel components (especially WiFi) because I can install their drivers directly from them, and they have a long history of providing updates for years after shipping a particular component. More generally, components from companies which are likely to update drivers frequently are good as long as I can install the component manufacturer-provided drivers without laptop-specific customization (like the ATI drivers).
Also, if a component can be replaced easily, I am less concerned. For example, Dell stopped pumping out updated drivers for one of its mini-PCI WiFi cards. The solution was to buy an Intel replacement on eBay for $12! That's fine. I can deal with that.
So, what laptops should I consider so that I'm not likely to be stuck between a rock and a hard place?
I need to increase the RAM in our DELL servers but with the lshw I cannot see if the RAM installed is a UDIMM or RDIMM.

I'm attempting to use VLC 2.0.1 (Intel 64 bit) to connect to a UPnP server (Serviio 0.6.2 on OS X Snow Leopard).
I've tried to enable the feature by right clicking the "Universal Plug 'n Play" node in the LOCAL NETWORK section of the Main Window. While I am able to select 'Enable', the setting doesn't seem to 'stick'. Moreover, UPnP isn't listed in the Playlist Service discovery section of the preferences. The 'Service discovery modules' is currently set to upnp_intel:sap.
I am able to connect to the UPnP server with my Samsung TV, so I know that the service works.
Sometimes it is useful to have e-mail address like [email protected], where randomnumber identifies the conversation between a robot such as a mailing list server and a user. Is this possible with Microsoft Exchange?
I have enabled - enable webGL by entering Enable WebGL in opera:config by setting the value to 1, and Enable Hardware Acceleration similarly, then restart the browser - Opera 12 on Windows & tried to open - http://aleksandarrodic.com/p/jellyfish/.
This gives me an alert saying - Your browser failed to initialize WebGL.
Please guide me on - What's going wrong?
opera:gpu says :
Hardware acceleration Disabled
Direct3D 10 Backend not supported Could not load library
OpenGL Backend not supported Could not load library
But,same thing (http://aleksandarrodic.com/p/jellyfish/) works fine on Chrome!
Thanks

I am currently a high level consumer break/fix technician responsible for about 300-400 repairs a month. I am good at my job, but bored, and I want to move into the enterprise side of my company, dealing with Server 2008 R2 and exchange and switches and routers that cost more than I make in a month.
How do I make this transition? Whats the best thing to learn first? Is there a standard trajectory for making this leap from consumer to business? I am full time employed, so going back to school is not a great option, but I have no life, so spending my nights and weekends reading and practicing is totally within my realm.
I am basically overwhelmed by the number of things to learn, and looking for any advice you may have on the best way to proceed.
PS - I apologize if this is a not quite the right forum for this, I know its not a technical question exactly, but I also know the sorts of people I want to answer this question are reading this website.
How can I install MS Office on Windows Server 2008? The purpose would be to enable Quickbooks to be able to export to Excel.
Quickbooks is set up to run as a RemoteApp in a Terminal Server environment. The Quickbooks applicaiton senses whether or not Excel is installed and will not allow the user to create an Excel report unless Excel is actually installed on the client running Quickbooks.
Since the client and the server are the same machine in a Terminal Server environment, Excel must be installed on Windows Server for the Quickbooks Excel exporting feature to work in this setup.
There is no need to actually use Excel in a Terminal Services environment. We only need to generate the Excel files using the server, then we can use an installed version Excel on a regular Windows 7 machine to work with the Excel file.
MS Office does not normally install on Windows Server. Is there any way to buy a special license? Could we somehow fool Quickbooks into thinking Excel is installed, if that would work?
I run a single server (call it 'server A') IRC 'network', and thank to the generosity of some friends, I have been given a second server ('server B') that I can run an IRCd on in order to provide redundancy in case server A crashes. This is fine, I can set up a round-robin DNS with the servers linked. The problem I have is what to do about services? Does anyone know of a way to get the services to 'fail over' in case of a server failure? Eg, Server A starts off running the services, but suddenly crashes. Server B detects this and starts its own copy of the services (ideally with the same configuration and data as the services on Server B)
One solution that comes it mind is to write a bot that each server runs, that sit in a channel periodically checking if the bot from the other server is in the channel. If it is, then all is well. If not, then failover. I would prefer not to have to code this myself though
We are currently using Unreal IRCd and Anope services on Linux
