  • ASP.net MVC Routing problem

    - by Ready Cent
I have deployed my ASP.net MVC site to a shared hosting company. The problem is that now none of the pages except for the home page work. For example if I go to /Account/Register I get a page not found. However, if I go to /Account/Register/Index.aspx then it does work. I have tried modifying the routing to add in that index.aspx but everything I have tried fails.

  • ASP.NET: Large number of Session_Start with same session id

    - by Jaap
I'm running a ASP.NET website on my development box (.NET 2.0 on Vista/IIS7). The Session_Start method in global.asax.cs logs every call to a file (log4net). The Session_End method also logs every call. I'm using InProc session state, and set the session timeout to 5 mins (to avoid waiting for 20 mins). I hit the website, wait for 5 minutes unit I see the Session_End logging. Then I F5 the website. The browsers still has the session cookie and sends it to the server. Session_Start is called and a new session is created using the same session id (btw: I need this to be the same session id, because it is used to store data in database). Result: Every time I hit F5 on a previously ended session, the Session_Start method is called. When I open a different browser, the Session_Start method is called just once. Then after 5 minutes the Session_End each F5 causes the Session_Start method to execute. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Update: After the Session timeout, all subsequent requests have a session start & session end. So in the end my question is: why are the sessions on these subsequent request closed immediatly? 2010-02-09 14:49:08,754 INFO Global.asax[7486] [(null)] - Session started. • IIS7 ISAPI Filter Module & HttpModule Events - How do they line up?

    - by MikeGurtzweiler
So IIS7 in Integrated Pipeline mode uses a IsapiFilterModule to shim ISAPI filter DLL's and fire off the correct "events" on the filters, which is quite different than previous versions of IIS or IIS7 in classic mode because this means that HttpModules fire off right along side ISAPI filters in Integrated Pipeline mode. So does anyone happen to know how ISAPI events (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms524855.aspx) and the HttpModule events (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998536.aspx) line up?

  • How to get .NET HttpContext for isolated code block

    - by Matt Thrower
Hi, In .NET is it possible to get the HttpContext of the current page from within an external class? So, for example in my page test1.aspx codebehind I've got: Dim blah As New FeedWriter() blah.Run() But inside FeedWriter.vb, can I get the HttpContext of test1.aspx? Or would I have to pass it in to Run()? (I'm unwilling to do the latter because FeedWriter implements an interface which will need to be re-written if it's to take arguments) Cheers, Matt

  • IIS7 Request Mapping, File Extensions

    - by user189049
I have a website that used to have .dsp file extensions for all pages. There are alot of other sites referencing mine that reference the pages like that, but my pages are all actually .aspx pages. In IIS5, I was able to configure this to work. My problem is I've recently switched from IIS5 to IIS7, and I have no idea how to map these requests (.dsp) to the real file (.aspx) without the server telling me the file doesn't exist.

    - by kmunky
hi , i'm trying to parse some html that is not on my server $dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->loadHTMLfile("http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx"); echo $dom->getElementById('his_id')->item(0); but php returns an error something like ID his_id already defined in http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx, line: 33. I think that is because DOMDocument is dealing with invalid html. So, how can i parse it even though is invalid?

  • Exclude routing parameters in VaryByParam for Asp.Net 4

    - by HasanGursoy
I have a routing setting in my global.asax file: routes.MapPageRoute("video-browse", "video/{id}/{title}/", "~/routeVideo.aspx"); My routeVideo.aspx page has caching setting: <%@ OutputCache Duration="10" Location="ServerAndClient" VaryByParam="id" %> But when I request http://localhost/video/6/example1 and http://localhost/video/6/example2 after this, the page is created again. So I think VaryByParam works for * but I only want compile when id changes. Is there a way to define routing parameters at VaryByParam?
