• uitableview reloadData issue

  I've been debugging my iphone app and found something interesting. I have a UIViewControllers with TabBarcontroller( 6 tabs). each tab is a UIViewController and it has a UITtableview. The viewDidLoad works and brings the initial data. On of the UITableView has a search bar. After the user touchs presses search some magic happens and I get an array with data. I cant see the new data in the tableview and the [tableView reloadData] has no effect outside viewDidLoad (first time). I can see the array holding the data and the dataSource is set to self. Yet, no displaying of data! so I 've tried [self.tableView reloadData] & [self.tableView setNeedsDisplay] Funny enough, the new data is not being displayed. However if I move the table up or down the cellForRowAtIndexPath is being fired and the first row shows data. can anyone shed some light on this mystery??? if there a [self.view refreshscreen] ??

  The translation tool isn't able to translate this working code.   I have a TableView controller class that uses a fetched results controller to display a list of 'patient' entities taken from a Core Data model. The sections of this table are taken from a patient attribute called 'location'. Here is the sort descriptor for the fetch request: NSSortDescriptor *locationDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"location" ascending:YES]; NSSortDescriptor *lastNameDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:@"lastName" ascending:YES]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:locationDescriptor, lastNameDescriptor, nil]; Here is the initialisation code for the FRC: NSFetchedResultsController *aFetchedResultsController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:fetchRequest managedObjectContext:managedObjectContext sectionNameKeyPath:@"location" cacheName:@"List"]; When I want to add a new 'patient' entity - I click an add button which then pushes an 'add new patient' view controller to the navigation stack. The first patient I add works fine. If I add a second patient - the app will sometimes crash with the following error: 2010-03-22 14:42:05.270 Patients[1126:207] Serious application error. Exception was caught during Core Data change processing: * -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1) with userInfo (null) 2010-03-22 14:42:05.272 Patients[1126:207] Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '** -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: index (1) beyond bounds (1)' This only seems to happen if the patient's have a location added (if none is added then the location defaults to 'unknown'). It seems to have something to do with the sorting of the location too. For instance, if the first patient location = ward 14 and the second = ward 9 then it crashes without fail. I'm wondering if this is something to do with how I am asking the fetched results controller to sort the section names?? This bug is driving me nuts and I just can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  hello everybody i'm some newbie in this matter of .net i'm trying understand this new paradigm i began with linq for SQl but i found this library, kind of framework of T4 more specifically: subsonic T4 i think it could be very usefull but the support docs outside are very scarce my first intention is use them in the very simple form: a catalog lets say... Users so... how can i use the model generated with subsonic ( using the iactiverecord) to implement the record-navigational part.,...???!!! i mean i want a simple form to create, delete or modify records and that is fairy easy but what about to move among records ? i found how to get the first, the last record.. but how can i advance or go back among them??? how can i order the records..? it seems everytime imust query the table.. its so? but how can imove among the records i already got? all of the exmples found are very simple dont touch the matter and/ or are repetitive everywhere so.. please if anybody can help me or give more references... i'd thank you a lot gmo camilo

  I created a simple news website. I store both videos and images in IMAGES table. Videos added have videos and images added have images stored in a column called ImagesType. Images and Videos attached to a news is stored in ImagesID column of the NEWS table. My problem occurs when I need to display the first image of a news. i.e. IMAGES table: ImagesID ImagesLgURL ImagesType 1 /FLPM/media/videos/0H7T9C0F.flv videos 2 /FLPM/media/images/8R5D7M8O.jpg images 3 /FLPM/media/images/0E7Q9Z0C.jpg images NEWS table NewsID ImagesID NewsTitle 1 1;2; Street Chic: Paris ERROR 2 3; Paris Runway NO ERROR The following code give me an error with the 2nd news item because the first ImageID stored in the list is not an image but a video. I need to figure out a way to skip the video item and display the next image. I hope I made sense. • How to make NAnt send an email using a real account

  First of all, I have already seen this post: nant mail issues but the only answer is not satisfactory (i.e.: doesn't work for me). I am using NAnt to get latest version of source, upgrade version of the libraries and application, build the application, build the setups... all the usual things, I bet. I would like NAnt to send an email to some people confirming the conclusion of the build process; I've already checked the official (pretty ugly, IMHO) documentation for the task, but the example, once copied and customized, doesn't work. This are the NAnt target and task I'm using: <target name="sendMail" > <mail from="[email protected]" tolist="[email protected];[email protected]" subject="Subject of email" mailhost="smtp.gmail.com" message="Your new release is ready!"> </mail> </target> The error message I get is: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. It looks like that the task was designed for use by an account whose provider doesn't need authentication; but what can I do if I must use an external smtp server which requires authentication (telling my boss I need an smtp server in house is not an option)?   Morning y'all This is probably an easy one but I barely got any sleep last night and am struggling to comprehend anything. I've got a CodeIgniter library I've made called Points.php. • Redirection on the last Slideshow-Element with Jquery

  Hi, I'm very new to Jquery and want to realize a manual slideshow with a page-redirect on the last "next"-button. I detect the last Slide-Element with CSS-Classes and then I want to add a Class to the next button to declare that it is the last next-button of the whole Slideshow. The half of my Code works :) – If I navigate to the last Slide-Element, Jquery adds the Class "last" to the button and if I click on the button with this Class, I'm redirected to the next page – that's what I want. But if I navigate to the last Slide-Element, then click a few times the "prev"-button and then again the next button, I'm instantly redirected although the Class "last" was removed. • Extract wrong data from a frame in C?

  I am writing a program that reads the data from the serial port on Linux. The data are sent by another device with the following frame format: |start | Command | Data | CRC | End | |0x02 | 0x41 | (0-127 octets) | | 0x03| ---------------------------------------------------- The Data field contains 127 octets as shown and octet 1,2 contains one type of data; octet 3,4 contains another data. I need to get these data. Because in C, one byte can only holds one character and in the start field of the frame, it is 0x02 which means STX which is 3 characters. So, in order to test my program, On the sender side, I construct an array as the frame formatted above like: char frame[254]; frame[0] = 0x02; // starting field frame[1] = 0x41; // command field which is character 'A' ..so on.. And, then On the receiver side, I take out the fields like: char result[254]; // read data read(result); printf("command = %c", result[1]); // get the command field of the frame // get other field's values the command field value (result[1]) is not character 'A'. I think, this because the first field value of the frame is 0x02 (STX) occupying 3 first places in the array frame and leading to the wrong results on the receiver side. How can I correct the issue or am I doing something wrong at the sender side? • Where is my Drupal View pager?

  Hi, I have a Drupal 6 site where I've created a view that shows a list of nodes. Nothing complicated -- except that when I choose "use pager" -- "yes" (and choose the "full pager" option), the pager doesn't show up on the page. The first page of nodes shows up, but there's no way to get to other pages. Through googling, I saw that some people had an issue with the "Pager Element" item, so I changed that from 0 to 1 -- no luck. This shouldn't be very complicated, but I've been at it for a while! Help!? ETA: I've tracked it down to the following lines in /modules/views/theme/theme.inc: $pager_theme = views_theme_functions($pager_type, $view, $view->display_handler->display); $vars['pager'] = theme($pager_theme, $exposed_input, $view->pager['items_per_page'], $view->pager['element']); The first line returns an array; the second line returns nothing. I suspect now that this is a theming problem with the custom theme I'm using that may not have fully been correctly updated for Drupal 6 -- like, maybe I'm missing a pager template somehow? -- however, I'm quite new to Drupal and don't really understand how to further track down and fix the issue. Any advice would be much appreciated! ETA yet again: The pager also doesn't show up when using Garland, so it's not a theme issue after all. ALSO: I have a copy of this site set up on a development server as well, and that copy has working pagination! I've checked what I thought might be different -- files in the theme, what modules are enabled -- and it seems like pretty much everything is the same. The one thing that I know is different, however, is that the production server has a lower version of MySQL (lower than recommended for Drupal 6 -- we're waiting on the hosting company being able to change this later). Would it make sense that the old version of MySQL is unable to do pagination correctly in Drupal 6? If so, does anyone know a workaround I can do until we are able to update MySQL?

• Eclipse PDE - Plug-in, Feature, and Product Versioning

  I am having much confusion over the process of upgrading version numbers in dependent plug-ins, features, and products in a fairly large eclipse workspace. I have made API changes to java code residing in an existing plug-in and thus requires an increase of the Major part of the version identifier. This plug-in serves as a dependency to a given feature, where the feature is later included in a product. From the documentation at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Version_Numbering, I understand (for the most part) when the proper number should be increased on the containing plug-in itself. However, how would this Major version number change on the plug-in affect dependent, "down-the-line" items (e.g., features, products)? For example, assume we have the typical "Hello World" setup as follows: Plug-in: com.example.helloworld, version 1.0.0 Feature: com.example.helloworld.feature, version 1.0.0 Product: com.example.helloworld.product, version 1.0.0 If I were to make an API change in the plug-in, this would require a version update to be that of 2.0.0. What would then be the version of the feature, 1.1.0? The same question can be applied for the product level as well (e.g., if the feature is 1.1.0 OR 2.0.0, what is the product version number)? I'm sure this is quite the newbie question so I apologize for wasting anyone's time and effort. I have searched for this type of content but all I am finding is are examples showing how to develop a plug-in, feature, product, and update site for the first time. The only other content related to my search has been developing feature patches and have not touched on the versioning aspect as much as I would prefer. I am having difficulty coming into (for the first time) an Eclipse RCP / PDE environment and need to learn the proper way and / or best practices for making such versioning updates and how to best reflect this throughout other dependent projects in the workspace.

• SQL CE: Limiting rows returned in the query

  In SQL Compact Edition 3.5 , note that it is the Compact Edition I am talking about- Is there a way to limit the amount of rows to only 2? Something like using LIMIT or TOP. I really don't want to use anything with a SqlCEDataReader, or SqlCEResultSet. I want to do all the limiting in the query. Is this possible now? I have looked around and it doesn't seem so. EDIT- In response to Dave Swersky's request for data and using Min()/Max() on some columns as a means to get the top 2 lines, here is some sample (sterilized) data: Line Site Function Status 1010 Las Vegas new 4 1020 DC send 1 1030 Portland copy 1 1040 SF copy 1 1050 Portland copy 1 1060 DC send 1 *There are more columns than this but these are the significant ones. Sorry for the lack of intuitive data (but the actual data is even less intuitive!), but for security i need to change the data. So- i need to determine: what site the record was at in the preceding line to determine where it needs to be picked up. The site on any given line (except the first line with function = 'new') corresponds to where the item is going next. So simply grabbing that site off the same line wont tell me where it came from. The status will always be 1 or 4. The 4 corresponds to a where it has been delivered already and so i dont want to include those records in the result. But it might be useful in getting the pickup site. For this table of data i want the query to return the site corresponding to the line just above the first line with status 1. So- for this it would be Las Vegas.

I have a form : ... + all input fields of job/ and action: (addJob is mapped at this action) public class InsertJobAction extends ActionSupport{ ... private Job job = null; public String execute(){ jobService.insert(job); //here job is not null; that is ok } getter and setter for job } this action works correctly; I have a similar form and action, but the input fields from thisform are less than first form; The problem is here: in execute() of the second action job is null. Why?? Does depend it of fields noumber ?? I have 2 constructors in my Job class one with no params, and one with all params for every field of class; I made debug with Log4j ...and in first case there arrives in Job constructor in the second not. Why??When it calls constructor??? When are called the setter and getter methodsb, before or after execute() method??? And when i have a form with input data?? Are called setter methods before execute() method? I'm very confusely because in a case it works without problems, but in the second case it doesn't Thanks, Andrew

Is there a way to have linq working with this ValueTypes? Update: Using NHibernate.UserTypes.IUserType it sortof works.   Hello, I need to load Dimensions from EDW Tables (which does maintain historical records) and is of type Key-Value-Parameter. My scenario is ok if got a record in EDW as below Key1 Key2 Code Value EffectiveDate EndDate CurrentFlag 100 555 01 AAA 2010-01-01 11.00.00 9999-12-31 Y 100 555 02 BBB 2010-01-01 11.00.00 9999-12-31 Y This need to be loaded into DM by pivoting it as key1 and key2 combinations makes Natural key for DM SK NK 01 02 EffectiveDate EndDate CurrentFlag 1 100-555 AAA BBB 2010-01-01 11.00.00 9999-12-31 Y My ssis package does this all good pivoting... looking up the incoming NK in DIM.. if new will insert .. else with further lookup with effective date and determine if the incoming for same natural key got any new (change) in attribute.. if so updates the current record byy setting its end date and insert the new one with new attribute value and pulling the recent records values for other attributes. My problem is if the same natural key comes twice with same attribute in single extract my first lookup which on natural key .. will let both records pass and try to insert.. where its fails. If i get distinct records on NK the second is not picked and need to run package again. So my question how can i configure lookup or alernative way to handle this scenario when same NK comes twice in single extract, would be able to insert first record if not exists in Dim table and for second one should be able to updated with the changes with reference to one inserted above. Not sure this makes sense what am trying to explain. Will attached the screenshot once back to work desk (on monday). Thanks

• Unknown Exception on trying to initialize the web service stub created by Axis C++

  Hi, I am trying out the sample calculator program given in the folder of axis c++. I am mainly interested in the client side. So I used the wsdl to create the stubs and my main is pretty much the same as given in the sample. However on executing the call Calculator ws (endpoint) I get an unknown exception "First-chance exception at 0x7c0024b9 in CalculatorClient.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. First-chance exception at 0x7c812afb in CalculatorClient.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: [rethrow] at memory location 0x00000000.. Unhandled exception at 0x7c0024b9 in CalculatorClient.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000." and the exception causing code is Calculator::Calculator(const char* pchEndpointUri, AXIS_PROTOCOL_TYPE eProtocol) :Stub(pchEndpointUri, eProtocol) { } I had earlier tried to run a a webservice using Axis C++ but had received the same error. At that time my web service was a java ws on WAS. Then I later tried the calculator client (but this time I did not have any server hosting the ws as I just wanted to check if the Client could initialize). Is the problem caused due to the web service not being hosted on Apache in C++ (though I highly doubt it). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Harsha

• Problems with jQuery load and getJSON only when using Chrome

  I'm having an issue with two jQuery calls. The first is a "load" that retrieves HTML and displays it on the page (it does include some Javascript and CSS in the code that is returned). The second is a "getJSON" that returns JSON - the JSON returned is valid. Everything works fine in every other browser I've tried - except Chrome for either Windows or Mac. The page in question is here: http://urbanistguide.com/category/Contemporary.aspx When you click on a Restaurant name in IE/FF, you should see that item expand with more info - and a map displayed to the right. However, if you do this in Chrome all you get is the JSON data printed to the screen. The first problem spot is when the "load" function is called here: var fulllisting = top.find(".listingfull"); fulllisting.load(href2, function() { fulllisting.append("<div style=\"width:99%;margin-top:10px;text-align:right;\"><a href=\"#\" class=\"" + obj.attr("id") + "\">X</a>"); itemId = fulllisting.find("a.listinglink").attr("id"); ... In the above code, the callback function doesn't seem to get invoked. The second problem spot is when the "getJSON" function is called: $.getJSON(href, function(data) { if (data.error.length > 0) { //display error message } else { ... } In this case - it just seems to follow the link instead of performing the callback... and yes, I am doing a "return false;" at the end of all of this to prevent the link from executing. • jQuery Ajax / .each callback, next 'each' firing before ajax completed

  Hi the below Javascript is called when I submit a form. It first splits a bunch of url's from a text area, it then: 1) Adds lines to a table for each url, and in the last column (the 'status' column) it says "Not Started". 2) Again it loops through each url, first off it makes an ajax call to check on the status (status.php) which will return a percentage from 0 - 100. 3) In the same loop it kicks off the actual process via ajax (process.php), when the process has completed (bearing in the mind the continuous status updates), it will then say "Completed" in the status column and exit the auto_refresh. 4) It should then go to the next 'each' and do the same for the next url. function formSubmit(){ var lines = $('#urls').val().split('\n'); $.each(lines, function(key, value) { $('#dlTable tr:last').after('<tr><td>'+value+'</td><td>Not Started</td></tr>'); }); $.each(lines, function(key, value) { var auto_refresh = setInterval( function () { $.ajax({ url: 'status.php', success: function(data) { $('#dlTable').find("tr").eq(key+1).children().last().replaceWith("<td>"+data+"</td>"); } }); }, 1000); $.ajax({ url: 'process.php?id='+value, success: function(msg) { clearInterval(auto_refresh); $('#dlTable').find("tr").eq(key+1).children().last().replaceWith("<td>completed rip</td>"); } }); }); }

• Instantiating class with custom allocator in shared memory

  I'm pulling my hair due to the following problem: I am following the example given in boost.interprocess documentation to instantiate a fixed-size ring buffer buffer class that I wrote in shared memory. The skeleton constructor for my class is: template<typename ItemType, class Allocator > SharedMemoryBuffer<ItemType, Allocator>::SharedMemoryBuffer( unsigned long capacity ){ m_capacity = capacity; // Create the buffer nodes. m_start_ptr = this->allocator->allocate(); // allocate first buffer node BufferNode* ptr = m_start_ptr; for( int i = 0 ; i < this->capacity()-1; i++ ) { BufferNode* p = this->allocator->allocate(); // allocate a buffer node } } My first question: Does this sort of allocation guarantee that the buffer nodes are allocated in contiguous memory locations, i.e. when I try to access the n'th node from address m_start_ptr + n*sizeof(BufferNode) in my Read() method would it work? If not, what's a better way to keep the nodes, creating a linked list?   An array of integers A[i] (i 1) is defined in the following way: an element A[k] ( k 1) is the smallest number greater than A[k-1] such that the sum of its digits is equal to the sum of the digits of the number 4* A[k-1] . You need to write a program that calculates the N th number in this array based on the given first element A[1] . INPUT: In one line of standard input there are two numbers seperated with a single space: A[1] (1 <= A[1] <= 100) and N (1 <= N <= 10000). OUTPUT: The standard output should only contain a single integer A[N] , the Nth number of the defined sequence. Input: 7 4 Output: 79 Explanation: Elements of the array are as follows: 7, 19, 49, 79... and the 4th element is solution. I tried solving this by coding a separate function that for a given number A[k] calculates the sum of it's digits and finds the smallest number greater than A[k-1] as it says in the problem, but with no success. The first testing failed because of a memory limit, the second testing failed because of a time limit, and now i don't have any possible idea how to solve this. One friend suggested recursion, but i don't know how to set that. Anyone who can help me in any way please write, also suggest some ideas about using recursion/DP for solving this problem. Thanks.

• Debugging Maya plug-ins: can't get output or debugger to engage

  I'm not a total beginner at Maya, but this is my first time trying to write a plug-in for it. I've downloaded the 30-day eval version of Maya2011 (32bit version on 64bit Windows 7), and have tried building a couple of plug-ins with VC 2008 Express. The first one is helloWorldCmd from the sample directory ..\devkit\plug-ins, and it basically doesn't work until you convert the line cout<<"Hello World"<<endl; to cerr<<"Hello World"<<endl;, but I can live with that. The second one is the SelectRingContext2 example from David Gould's book. The plug-in works as advertised, but I cannot get any debugging output from it. I've tried putting cout, cerr,printf, and MGlobal::displayInfo into the doIt() method, and can't get a peep. I also haven't figured out how to run the plug-in in a debugger. I'm afraid I'm missing something easy but slightly obscure, like a flag somewhere. Anybody out there have any hints? Edit: Turns out the action is happening in the redoIt() method. So I can get MGlobal::displayInfo and cerr producing output. Still don't know why cout and printf don't work, and I'm not sure how to run in the debugger. When I run maya -d (which some of the online advice says I should do) it just shows the output window but never loads the rest.

• Converting plain text in SQL to hyperlink in Access

  Hello, I've just started a new job my first since leaving University and as part of this my first task is to convert a wholly Access 2003 database to an Access front-end, SQL back-end. The Access database consists of a series of front end forms to add or review staff data, as part of this there is hyperlinks pointing to a photograph of the employee and there CV located on a shared drive. These were saved as hyperlinks within the Access DB. I have since converted the data in the Access DB to SQL and stored it in a database for me to test on, now as part of the data conversion the photo and CV locations were converted to nvarchar from hyperlink. I've done this using SSMA. My issue now is that I need to have these text links displayed and working as hyperlinks on the front end hidden behind the words "Photo" and "CV", but am unsure as to how to go about this, as in the past I've only ever used SQL and not Access. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated and if I've not been clear in any areas please feel free to ask questions and I'll try to clear anything up for you.

• How to force ADO.Net to use only the System.String DataType in the readers TableSchema.

  Howdy, I am using an OleDbConnection to query an Excel 2007 Spreadsheet. I want force the OleDbDataReader to use only string as the column datatype. The system is looking at the first 8 rows of data and inferring the data type to be Double. The problem is that on row 9 I have a string in that column and the OleDbDataReader is returning a Null value since it could not be cast to a Double. I have used these connection strings: Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source="ExcelFile.xlsx";Persist Security Info=False;Extended Properties="Excel 12.0;IMEX=1;HDR=No" Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source="ExcelFile.xlsx";Persist Security Info=False;Extended Properties="Excel 8.0;HDR=No;IMEX=1" Looking at the reader.GetSchemaTable().Rows[7].ItemArray[5], it's dataType is Double. Row 7 in this schema correlates with the specific column in Excel I am having issues with. ItemArray[5] is its DataType column Is it possible to create a custom TableSchema for the reader so when accessing the ExcelFiles, I can treat all cells as text instead of letting the system attempt to infer the datatype? I found some good info at this page: Tips for reading Excel spreadsheets using ADO.NET The main quirk about the ADO.NET interface is how datatypes are handled. (You'll notice I've been carefully avoiding the question of which datatypes are returned when reading the spreadsheet.) Are you ready for this? ADO.NET scans the first 8 rows of data, and based on that guesses the datatype for each column. Then it attempts to coerce all data from that column to that datatype, returning NULL whenever the coercion fails!   Hello, I am trying to embedd two slideshows into my flash file. I already managed to integrate one, but I can't integrate another since my knowledge of actionscript is very limited. For people that know Flash well it is a really easy question. What do I have to rename in this script so that I can create a second slideshow, without always calling on the first one.
