• Jmock mock DAO object

  Hi all, I wrote a method that retrieves certain list of strings, given a correct string key. Now when I create a list(the one to be retrieved by method descibed in previous sentence) and create test I can easily get results and test passes successfully. Now on the other hand if I save the content of this list to database in 2 columns, key and value I wrote a class which retrieves this items with method inside it. And when I print it out to console the expected results are correct, now I initialize my DAO from application context where inside its bean it gets session and because of DAO works. Now I'm trying to write a test which will mock the DAO, because I'm running test localy not on the server .. so I told jmock to mock it : private MyDAO myDAO; in the setup() myDAO = context.mock(MyDAO.class); I think I'm mocking it correctly or not, how can I mock this data from database? what is the best way? Is there somewhere good Jmock documentation? on their official site its not very good and clear, you have to know what you seek in order to find it, can't discover something cool in the mean time.

• How to reinstall OEM Windows 98 SE?

  I'm trying to install Windows 98 SE on an old PC and it's not going well. I run into this problem. Searching for Boot Record from Floppy..OK Starting Windows 98... TOSHIBA Enhanced-IDE CD/DVD-ROM Device Driver (ATAPI) Version 2.24 (C)Copyright Toshiba Corp. 1995-1999. All rights reserved. Device Name : TOSCD001 Number of units : 1 MSCDEX Version 2.25 Copyright (C) MIcrosoft Corp. 1986-1995. All rights reserved. Drive Z: = Driver TOSCD001 unit 0 TOSHIBA MACHINE Invalid drive specification Path not found - C:\TOOLS\CDROMDRV.SYS Invalid drive specification Invalid drive specification After that last line, it leaves me at a bitmap image displaying instructions to reboot with Ctrl+Alt+Del. It doesn't say why I have to reboot, and it doesn't state any error type, it just want's me to reboot for no apparent reason. After reboot, it just boots up from Floppy again and it cycles through the same thing all over again. The computer has been restored to original specification. Original system recovery "CD-ROM" discs are available and they are not scratched or anything, they are in very good condition. It's a set of 3 CDs, and the first disc labeled "1/3" should be the one holding the OEM version of Windows 98 SE. There is also a boot disk for Windows 98. I'm not sure what the other two discs are for. This computer came with three language support, so those could be holding different language versions or additional OEM discs. But I'm quite sure that the first disc holds the main operating system. BIOS has been set to optimized defaults. Boot priority is as follows; Floppy, IDE-0, CD-ROM. Under Standard CMOS settings, BIOS scans and autoconfigures both the hard drive and the CD/DVD drive. On POST it finds them both, and it finds the DOS bootdisk and starts preparing for installation, as you can see above. So what's this "invalid drive specification" about? Why isn't the installation starting? Updates Update 1 Booting from CD disc 2 In desperation I tried booting from the second CD. Boot order was; Floppy, CD-ROM, IDE-0. It boots normally from floppy disk, just like above, but then returns following. File not found - Z:\3LNGINST\TOOLS\PARTINFO.TXT I accidentally pressed some key on the keyboard, and before I knew it, the following screen showed up. Create Primary DOS Partition Current fixed disk drive: 1 Verifying drive integrity, 16% complete. After completion another screen showed up. Create Primary DOS Partition Current fixed disk drive: 1 Do you wish to use the maximum available size for a Primary DOS Partition and make the partition active (Y/N)?....................? [Y] Verifying drive integrity, 7% complete. I didn't choose Yes, it was set automatically. After completion the computer was automatically rebooted. Then I got a new screen. This is in Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish. Here's the message in Swedish. Hårddisken är inte klar för återställning av programvara. Installationsprogrammet måste skapa nya partitioner (C:, D:, ...). VARNING! ALLT INNEHÅLL PÅ HÅRDDISKEN KOMMER ATT RADERAS! Tryck på en tangent om du vill fortsätta (eller CTRL-C för att avbryta). Let me translate that. Hard drive is not ready for restoring the software. Setup program has to create new partitions (C:, D:, ...). WARNING! ALL CONTENTS ON THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE ERASED! Press any key to continue (or CTRL-C to cancel). I pressed Enter and it started formatting the hard drive. WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK DRIVE c: WILL BE LOST! Proceed with Format (Y/N)?y Formatting 14,67.53M 1 percent completed. It automatically sets the "y" option and starts formatting. Rebooting with CD disc 1 After completing this operation it rebooted automatically. I inserted CD disc 1 and there was no issue with "invalid drive specification" anymore. Instead, a bitmap menu was displayed where it asked me to choose a language. And I thought I had it there for a while but it didn't work out. After choosing the language, another menu was displayed asking me to choose a type of recovery (restore pre-installed software OR restore hard drive partitions and pre-installed software). I opted for the second option. Then a data destruction warning showed up where I just pressed 1 to Continue. It did something and then just rebooted and the same formatting screen shows up as before. So something is not right. Am I doing it wrong? I seem to have come past the CD-ROM driver issue at least. But now I'm stuck with this problem... it seems to have something to do with the hard drive. Like... why is is it always trying to format it? Isn't it enough to format it once? By the way, it needs to be formatted as FAT32, right? Windows 98 doesn't support NTFS? I think FDISK should have taken care of this already. I know this is an old hard drive, but I connected to my main computer and it was able to read and write to it without a problem. It does have bad sectors though, but it's expected on an old hard drive like this. Any ideas?.. Update 2 I seem to be repeatedly getting stuck at the format screen where it asks to press any key to continue. So tried to cancel it this time with Ctrl+C. This leaves me at: A:\TOOLS> I can do DIR and CD and I tried to change to Z: drive. I tried running "setup" but there is no such thing.   So I created an Outlook Add-in and used the click-once setup to deploy it. The setup runs fine when the user is administrator, but otherwise: no go. Running the setup with "run as..." and logging in as admin works, but than the add-in is installed under the admin, not the current user. The addin doesn't show up in outlook. • Using naked domain in apache, no "www" on domain in httpd.conf

  Incredibly there is no good tutorial or easy reference guide for using naked domains (no subdomain) as the primary URI online that I could find. I'm trying to configure this to happen in my httpd.conf in apache. Since I'm still a relative newb to this server stuff, trying to figure it out myself all I could do was configure some nasty redirect loops and error 400's. There's plenty of notes for the more common: http:// -- https:// and naked to -- www. and a ton of .htaccess stuff (not interested) What I want is http://www.domain.com -- http://domain.com The most helpful thing I found was this: Multiple domains (including www-"subdomain") on apache? I ended using the solution mentioned by ceejayoz in that post that some folks noted was messy and complicated because it got the desired result but I'd like to know the best practice for this in the future. I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

  I've got this kind of situation: I've got windows 2003 server with dns server on same machine. It is binded to adress for ex. siteA.com Now i want to add to this machine website which name will be siteB.com. I created a new website on IIS6 server with name siteB.com but I dont know how to set up a dns server. My primary DNS administrator created me an alias for my server and he describe it to me like this: 'site siteB.com is an aliase for siteA.com' and then he said that I have to configure my DNS server by my own. I've tried to add new alias in my existing DNS zone (for siteA.com) but it's binding FQDN name like this: siteB.SiteA.com which is wrong as I supose. Can anybody explain me how can I bind this 2 webiste to my server?

Our service fails with the error “The system cannot find the file specified”. We’ve traced the error to the “RSACryptoServiceProvider provider = new RSACryptoServiceProvider();”. The third party assembly depends on a x509 file based certificate for its encryption process and the Service Account has Read / Write access to the keys folder. Additionally, the service account has Read, Write, Modify rights to “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys”.   I created a database on a local SQL server that we use for development. I created the log and data files on a second hard drive (E:\MSSQL\DATA). I am using this database to do some speed tests so I created a lot of data (7 Million rows). I started running some pretty intensive queries and to get some test data I ran an update statement that updated all 7 million rows and now it has taken up all of the space on my C:\, which I don't understand since I put the data files on the E:\. Is there some files on the C:\ that would be growing based on me running queries on this other database, if so how do I stop it? I am doing with this database but I need to get my C:\ back in order. The database file group was PRIMARY, is this relevant?

  I want to clear out my PC and setup the partitions. Right now i have it as XP, Win-7, Vista, XP/Test/Spare I notice my PC is pretty good at virtualization, at least virtualizing linux. I also rarely boot out of my primary XP although i do find myself deving on windows 7 once in a while. So i figure i can have it as XP, Windows 7, data partition then... what? i still have one more slot. There may be a more useful way to do this so what do you guys think? My bro has 2gb partition that is used to restore the OS which can be ran during the bootup process. However i dont think i can do that with mine. So, what are you thoughts?

• Extending my desktop across two monitors with Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT

  When I played my old computer before I got this one, I was able to use the horizontal span. (Nvidia Geforce 6200 I believe) However, with this new computer, using vista and the 8800, the horizontal span option is gone, and all I have is dual veiw, which doesn't suit my needs. I play World of Warcraft on both my monitors, using CT_Viewport to keep my character and my veiwport on a single screen, while the majority of my addons lie on my other monitor. The problem with dual view is that the WoW will only stay on my primary monitor. Horizontal span would fix this easily, but there is no option for it. Any help regarding this?

  I like Google Chrome a lot, but there are two problems I have with it. The Address Bar search history feature that I want to turn off, and the feature where I hover over a hyperlink and in the bottom lefthand corner it shows a light blue hover tooltip about where that link goes. I really don't care where a given link goes and wish I could turn that feature off, even if I have to install a Google Chrome Extension. So, for these two reasons, I will not install Google Chrome as my primary browser and will remain with Firefox. So, is there a fix to turn the annoying link hover tooltip feature off?

This textfield is in a form that simply updates an item record using it's ID. If I edit part of the textfield and replace "and gravy." with "humous." • Growing the size of a VM's disk in VMware

  I have a VM that I originally gave 10 GB to (using VMware workstation, and Ubuntu 11.10 is the guest OS). I now wish to add to that. I have seen the option to expand the disk size, but all that does is create a new "partition" that Ubuntu can see. Is there a way to expand the size of the primary partition that the guest OS is using? NOTE: I have seen something regarding doing this for a regular Ubunbu OS that requires a boot disk. Is there a way that I can apply that to this VM case? Using Windows 7 64-bit as the host OS EDIT: To be clear, I am trying to resize the boot partition. Edit 2: GParted's resize option is greyed out.

I am binding my tab control to a collection to generate the TabItems. I have a TabItem style that uses a ContentPresenter to display the TabItem text in a TextBlock. When I bind the tab items to my menu the menu items are blank. I assume the menu items are looking for the Header property of the TabItems which I am not using. Is there a workaround for my scenario? • BAD DC transfering FSMO Roles to ADC

  I have a DC (FQDN:server.icmcpk.local) and an ADC (FQDN:file-server.icmcpk.local). Recently my DC is facing a bad sector problem so I changed the Operation Masters to file-server for all five roles. but when ever i turn off the OLD DC the file-server also stops wroking with AD and GPMC further i m also unable to join any other computer to this domain. For Test purpose i also added a new ADC (FQDN:wds-server.icmcpk.local) but no succes with the old DC off i had to turn the old DC on and then joined it. • WPF resource merged to Application.Resources but not resolved at runtime

  I have a brush that is part of a ResourceDictionary that is merged to Application.Resources. But for some reason it's not resolved at runtime when a style is being applied to one of the controls. However, if I call Application.Current.FindResource("BrushName") from the Immediate Window at the time when exception is thrown, the resource is found. Am I missing something? Isn't WPF supposed to try to look for the resource in the app's resources? • Can I rebuild degraded RAID1 on a SAS 5 i controller with a larger mirror drive size?

  A drive failed on a Dell SAS 5i controller - see controller bios screengrab: http://imagebin.ca/view/SkZbszA.html The primary is a 160GB 10k sata drive. I added a 250GB 7k rpm drive in the hope that the array would rebuild onto this drive. This did not happen. (assuming that the controller would just operate at the speed of the slowest drive) The controller could see the new drive, but it didn't automatically rebuild the raid1 onto this drive. (my assumption is that it did not do this rebuild as the drive sizes are different). There was an option to add the new drive to the existing raid1 array - but when I tried this a message appeared stating that all data on the array would be lost. (I didn't get a screenshot of this message, I will later) Should the SAS 5i allow me to rebuild the array onto a larger drive? Is the option to add the drive to the array the right way to go? • Capture keystrokes (e.g., function keys) while a messagebox is up

  We have a large WinForms app, and there is a built-in bug reporting system that can be activated during testing via the F5 Key. I am capturing the F5 key with .Net's PreFilterMessage system. This works fine on the main forms, modal dialog boxes, etc. Unfortunately, the program also displays windows messageboxes when it needs to. When there is a bug with that, e.g., wrong text in the messagebox or it shouldn't be there, the messagefilter isn't executed at all when the messagebox is up! I realize I could fix it by either rewriting my own messagebox routine, or kicking off a separate thread that polls GetAsyncKeyState and calls the error reporter from there. However I was hoping for a method that was less of a hack.
