• Java - Collections.sort() performance

  Hello, Im using Collections.sort() to sort a LinkedList whose elements implements Comparable interface, so they are sorted in a natural order. In the javadoc documentation its said this method uses mergesort algorithm wich has n*log(n) performance. My question is if there is a more efficient algorithm to sort my LinkedList? The size of that list could be very high and sort will be also very frequent. Thanks!

  Hello, We have run into an issue where we have an existing Alias, and we would like to add a rewrite rule to catch all variations of case-insensitive spellings, ie: URL: http://www.example.com/example Alias /example "/var/www/html/web/example" We need a rewrite rule to catch: /ExamPle /exampLE /eXAmple etc ...   Hello, I'm writing a program in python using dbus that detects inserted usb drives and manipulates the files inside of them. However, I can't seem to retrieve the path on my system of an inserted usb. Is there someway that I can get the path of an inserted usb in dbus, perhaps by using the GetProperty() method? I have tried using GetProperty("block.device"), but that returns /dev/sdc1 which doesn't exist on my system. Thanks in advance for any help!

  Hello, I've stumbled upon this flash map http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/nation/unemployment-by-county/ it looks like they used this map to construct the website. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:USA_Counties_with_FIPS_and_names.svg I am curious as to what people have done or any blogs that describe what can be done with flex and simple maps like this (not google maps style maps) but simple all-in-memory maps like this one.   Hello, So I am trying to use YQL to access the flickr api but I have been having some issues. From reading the YQL info, it seemed like I could use any flickr query in YQL but for some reason I cannot use flickr.people.getPublicPhotos call to access all pictures from a certain person. When I try any such query it isn't recognized. Is this possible? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

  Hello all, I'm looking for a Win32 equivalent of the .Net Encoding.GetEncoding Method to be used in Delphi7. What I would like to achieve is to convert a Codepage ID (ie.: 28592) to a Codapage name (iso-8859-2 in this case).   Hello All: I am an issue while converting "March 16-17" to DateTime and saving it to SQL server. "March 16-17" as it looks, read as March 16 to March 17, which in my case is invalid, but C# DateTime.TryParse() is treating "March 16 -17" as March 16, 2017 which is wrong, and saving the data in SQL server. SQL server treats "March 16-17" as invalid. So, can some body tell me how to use SQL server datetime validation in C#. Thanks Ashwani

• IIS Directory listing doesn't reconize .mkv files

  Hello I use the directory listing function in IIS to upload a bunch of files for friends and family to easy access and download. My problem is that .mkv files it lists but when you click it i get a 'The page cannot be found'. Ive tried relocating the file and renaming it but i get the same error each time. Why does it do this?
