• How to call sql procedure from an html button?

  Hey guys, my doubt is pretty simple to understand. I have a sql procedure that generates a util file as its output depending on the input parameters that are passed to it. I have to pass these parameters from an html page from 3 text boxes.There will also be a button ,on clicking which, the procedure will be called and the util will be generated. I thought of doing it in jsp and writing the full procedure there itself. But i want to util file to opened in WORD the moment it is generated. I want to know how to call a procedure using button and how to show the util after its generated. Thanks guys, any help will be appreciated.

I typically do it like this: echo ' <div> <p>Content Inside</p> <div class="subbox"> <ul> <li>etc.</li> <li>etc.</li> <li>etc.</li> <li>etc.</li> </ul> </div> </div> '; But I still don't like the outcome, especially if this appears in the middle of a large block of code. It just feels messy.

• HTML stops at a PHP script made to connect to a mysql database. No errors printed.

  I'm trying to set up a login script for PHP using the tutorial on this site. The problem is that the site stops when it hits these lines, no error, no text: <?php $conn = mysql_connect('localhost', 'root', 'password') or die('error line7' . mysql_error()); mysql_select_db('mydb', $conn) or die('error line8' . mysql_error()); ?> If I take out these lines, the rest of the html runs perfectly. I've double checked my passwords and everything, nothing is working. I know very little about php and mysql other than what I've learned trying to set this up.

The same code worked fine under VS2005 and .NET 2.0, I'm currently using VS2010RC and .NET 4.0.

  I am aware of passing data between jsp in spring web flow. Is it possible to transfer data between html pages driven by spring web flow. I don't want to use the HTML5 local storage capabilities. Example: Page 1: Search box for an employee id. Page 2: Search result for the employee details. Two ways that I could think: Get the employee details in page 1 by ajax and pass the result to the page two. Pass the employee id to page 2 and get the result by ajax in onload.   Hello! Not a programmer, I begin with xml, html forms and xslt on Mac. I plan to use a form to post short texts in a xhtml page and invite end users to add some annotations to the said text. The users would select a specific part of the text posted and each annotation would stand for one specific chain of characters. My goal is to consolidate the tags obtained from various user's annotations to one xml "knowledge base" containing the original text with all the revision indicators. Then I plan to use xslt sheets to product various reports based on the tags obtained. my two questions are : 1- am I dreaming ? Is it really possible to do that with xml, xforms, xslt without using java, php, ajax or other seasoned programmer's tools ? 2- What should be my focus for further explorations aiming in that direction ?   If you look at the Snip tool in windows there is an option to send the snip as an embedded attachment in the default mail client (I guess as an html email). I need exactly that. At the moment I am using simple MAPI to attach the image but that does not allow embedding. One key requirement is that it should be created and then shown in the default mail client. I don't think I can use System.Net.Mail for that. Or can I? Its a WPF application using c#.

  Hi Everyone, I have a script that generates a temporary HTML file that has links to external Javascript files that it requires to run. <script src="file:///Users/raphaeldefranco/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/BA9E724E-76BD-4F28-B224-54B4C73786D6/LogTen.app/Reports/Time by Year/../../Tools/PlotKit/Base.js" type="text/javascript"></script> The links are absolute and they are to the right place (There is a CSS link as well that uses the same method and it works fine). I've been using the following, which finds images and CSS just fine but for some reason won't run the .js. [webView loadRequest:requestObj]; I've tried changing the encoding of the files. I had a problem getting the CSS to work until the file was in unicode, but so far no luck. All the Script files are bundled with my project etc. Thanks in advance!

  And there I thought I knew Wordpress well. It now seems that update_option() auto-escapes code. If I want to save some Javascript or HTML code in an option, this behavior renders the code unusable. I refuse to do a str_replace on the returned value to filter out every backslash. There has to be a better way.   Hi. I'm new to jQuery, in fact any kind of AJAX / JavsScript (although not new to PHP, xHTML and CSS). Anyway I'm trying to achieve a "tooltip-like" effect, where I can hover over a div...the new div fades in above it and then when I exit the div the "tooltip" fades out. So here's the basic jQuery I've managed to scrap together reading the odd guide here and there: $(function() { $('#sn-not-logged-in').hover(function() { $('#sn-not-logged-in-hover').fadeIn('medium'); }); $('#sn-not-logged-in-hover').mouseout(function() { $('#sn-not-logged-in-hover').fadeOut('medium'); }); }); Problem is if I put "any" html tag inside the div that hovers in, the second you roll over it the div fades back out. ORDER by id DESC "; $db->setQuery($query); $ingredients = $db->loadResult(); I cant understand how to tell the form to send chyrillic characters correct. Or where is the problem at all?
