  I am using the function below to match URLs inside a given text and replace them for HTML links. The regular expression is working great, but currently I am only replacing the first match. How I can replace all the URL? • Second Unit Test Not Running

  I am having trouble getting my Method B test to run. The logic is fine, but when the unit tests are run, only Method A will run. If Method A and B are switched in terms of spots, only Method B will run. So clearly the code is wrong at some point. Do I need to call method B's test from inside method A in order to get both unit tests to run?   I have two classes A & B, and a listbox. I assign listBox.ItemsSource equal to a collection of objects of type A. The listbox items are visualized using silverlight data templating, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.datatemplate.aspx and http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/UserControlAsDataTemplate.aspx for example. The listbox.ItemTemplate is a DataTemplate that uses class B to visualize the listbox items. Now, in my code-behind, inside any method of class B, if I do this.DataContext, it points to an object of type A. Thus, given an object of type B, I can find the corresponding object of type A. So far so good. My question is, given an object of type A, how can I navigate to the corresponding object of type B? Is this even possible in SL?

  Hi, As my question title could be bit unclear to you (I tried best), following is what I'm exactly trying to do. I'm having a form element (say a user_info form), where such form elements will be generated for different users by java script and displayed in different js tabs (example: dojo tabs). once form elements are generated, later I need to react on user actions performed on different html elements defined inside user_info form. In this case I need to identify what is the context (in which user_info form element) in which user is working on. The simplest example would be how to retrieve form id of the form in which user actions are being performed. According to my understanding, I can not simply retrieve from by form id, because now DOM tree contains duplicate form instances of the same from element. So, IS there anyway, I could identify form context based on the user actions on its input elements. Thank You.

  Hello, Is there a way to serialize enums automatically as int? Every time I define a new enum and write std::stringstream stream; stream << myenum1; stream >> myenum2; the compiler complains that the operators << and are not defined. Do you know a way to tell the compiler to treat enums as plain int's? What makes the problem harder is that, actually, the serialization is inside a template. Something like this: template <typename T> void serialize(const T& value) { std::stringstream stream; stream << value; } So I cannot add any casts :( Maybe I can specialize it somehow? Thank you.

• What is the pythonic way to add type information to an object's attributes?

  I'm building classes where I know the types of the attributes, but Python of course doesn't. While it's un-pythonic to want to tell it, supposing I do want to, is there an idiomatic way to do so? Why: I'm reading in serialised data (without type information) involving objects-nested-inside-objects. It's easy to put it into nested dictionaries, but I want it in objects of my class-types, to get the right behaviours as well as the data. For instance: suppose my class Book has an attribute isbn which I will fill with an ISBNumber object. My serialised data gives me the isbn as a string; I would like to be able to look at Book and say "That field should be filled by ISBNumber(theString)." Bonus glee for me if the solution can be applied to classes I get from someone else without editing their code.

• What is your prefered way to return XML from an ActionMethod in Asp.net MVC?

  I am displaying charts that load the data asynchronously because the searches are the work to fetch the data is quite heavy. The data has to be return as XML to make the chart library happy. My ActionMethods return a ContentResult with the type set as text/xml. I build my Xml using Linq to XML and call ToString. This works fine but it's not ideal to test. I have another idea to achieve this which would be to return a view that builds my XML using the XSLT View engine. I am curious and I always try to do the things "the right way". So how are you guys handling such scenarios? Do you implement a different ViewEngine (like xslt) to build your XML or do you Build your XML inside your controller (Or the service that serves your controller)?

  I want to set the Expires header for all image/* and text/css. I'm doing this in a Filter. However: before calling chain.doFilter(..) the Content-type is not yet "realized" after calling chain.doFilter(..) the Content-type is set, but so is content-length, which forbids adding new headers (at least in Tomcat implementation) I can use the extensions of the requested resource, but since some of the css files are generated by richfaces by taking them from inside jar-files, the name of the file isn't x.css, but is /xx/yy/zz.xcss/DATB/.... So, is there a way to get the Content-type before the response is committed.

  Is there a tool to see the message sent to webservice hosted on an IIS server? I have a webservice written in .Net and our ColdFusion people are having trouble building a "complex" parameter. This problem is described from a ColdFusion perspective at: adobe forum question It runs when called from a .net client. While hosted on a server inside our LAN, I put it out on a public server so the WSDL could be viewed: please take a quick look at this WSDL here When the CF developer runs her code, she gets: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch ...and I am wondering if there is a tool I could run on the server that hosts my webservice to see if it is even entering the WS or is being rejected by Java code that CF uses and is not really even getting to my webservice.

• F#: Can't hide a type abbreviation in a signature? Why not?

  In F#, I'd like to have what I see as a fairly standard Abstract Datatype: // in ADT.fsi module ADT type my_Type // in ADT.fs module ADT type my_Type = int In other words, code inside the module knows that my_Type is an int, but code outside does not. However, F# seems to have a restriction where type abbreviations specifically cannot be hidden by a signature. This code gives a compiler error, and the restriction is described here. If my_Type were instead a discriminated union, then there is no compiler error. My question is, why the restriction? I seem to remember being able to do this in SML and Ocaml, and furthermore, isn't this a pretty standard thing to do when creating an abstract datatype? Thanks

  Hi, I am trying to migrate to MVC from conventional n tier applications. I am very much used to creating websites in the regular manner. But i find it difficult to adapt to MVC environemnt. I have created a project by giving rails_apps rails demo The command prompt created some folders inside a folder called demo. Though i have read one or two tutorials i am not exactly clear about the working or the cycle of MVC. Can anyone please give some basic idea. • Auto height and the float issue.

  I have had this issue before and can't remember if and how I fixed it. I have to create a scenario where I have 2 DIV's floated left and right inside a parent DIV. The 2 floating DIV's have height:auto, but the parent ignores them (perfectly logical) and the background of the parent DIV can't be seen. I know what the issue is, but are there any suggestions of how to solve it? Or any alternatives, I am willing to try a new approach. Thanks in advance for any help.

  When I add text to my web page using my text editor it display styles correctly inside the text editor which basically is a iframe. After this data is saved it's displayed on another page where the issue occurs. I wanted the description section on my web page to use its own style without getting overwritten by the page styles. Do i need to use a iframe to display this data? Is there a way I can prevent a block from using the page style. Please advise. Appreciate all your help.

• Looking for ideas on automatically arranging a set of objects (furniture) in a virtual room in AS3

  First of all, I don't want to visually arrange 3D models dragging them with the mouse, all I want is: Given a room of certain dimensions (L,W,H) and given a set of elements like beds, chairs, etc (with L,W,H dimensions, of course) I want to automatically arrange those elements to take advantage of the space as much as I can. So I want to be able to put as much furniture as I can in a given room. At the end I need to represent the arranged items visually, inside the room. My first thought was to use an array of items and sorting it with array.sortOn(["l","w","h"] Array.NUMERIC) and then define a gap between the objects and make the maths to put the objects one next to another, etc. but that isn't a good approach because some items may be placed on top of another ones (boxes of the same size, boxes on top of tables, etc). I really don't have experience on 3D programming, that's why I'm asking for help. Thanks in advance.

  I've written program solving bounded producer & consumer problem. While constructing ArrayBlockingQueue I defined capacity 100. I'm using methods take and put inside threads. And I've noticed that sometimes I see put 102 times with any take's between them. Why does it happen? • Does the jQuery .unbind() method only work on jQuery created events?

  I am trying to unbind all event handlers for all elements that are inside a particular container. Like a DIV. But those events have been bound/registered not using jQuery. Some are bound the manual way with onclick="...." or using regular native JavaScript. But when i do something like this $('#TheDivContainer').find('div,td,tr,tbody,table').unbind(); It does not appear to work. Which leads me to believe that the .unbind() only works if the events have been originally bound by jQuery. Is that true? Is there another way of unbinding all events from a group of elements ? • Rotate view of PDF on a WinForm

  I have to display a PDF inside a winform (c# on .net 2.0 framework). For now, I am using the ActiveX PDF control provided by Adobe. I have to disable the entire control so that a user can't print or save via right-click or hotkeys. Unfortunately, many of the documents need to be rotated (just viewed, not permanently saved that way). I'd like to allow them to rotate the view by pressing a button control. I've tried enabling the control then programmatically sending the hotkeys (ctrl shift +) using SendKeys and SendInput but the timing issues make this a non-viable solution. I've asked on the proper Adobe boards and they said it was not possible being that all of my clients will only have the reader version installed.

• The risk of granting to IUSR* NTFS permissions on a folder on the server

  I have two web applications that must share a file in the server file system. Both apps are inside of "Inetpub\wwwroot". The file cannot be accessed freely from outside, so it is in a folder out of "Inetpub". I have granted full NTFS permissions to the user "IUSR_whatever" (is the user that runs IIS in anonymous requests) in that folder. The folder has only that file, and has no other use. It works so far :) But, what is the risk? what should I be afraid of? As I see it, as long the folder is out of the "InetPub" cannot be accessed, and as long the apps don't have any security flaw like "path traversal" or server side code injection, it should be safe enough.... But I'm always keen to be wrong :) What do you think? May the file or even the server itself get compromised because of this? Thanks.
