  • Android GPS data of Railway Stations of India

    Hi, I want to make an android application that will intimate the users about the approaching railway stations in INDIA. For this I will use GPS (Location Manager etc) on Android. So far, I have not developed the applications using GPS, so I have little insight on the capabilities of Android API for this. I know, through the android API I can know the current location of the users through GPS and google API but can I know the location of nearby railway stations from Google API for India? Or can I know the latitude and longitude of all the Railway Stations so that I can pre-feed that in the applciation? Please help me in finding out the way.

  • InputStreamBody in HttpMime 4.0.3 settings for content-length

    I am trying to send a multi part formdata post through my java code. Can someone tell me how to set Content Length in the following?? There seem to be headers involved when we use InputStreamBody which implements the ContentDescriptor interface. Doing a getContentLength on the InputStreamBody gives me -1 after i add the content. I subclassed it to give contentLength the length of my byte array but am not sure if other headers required by ContentDescriptor will be set for a proper POST.   • DataGrid : Binding with two different classes with lists ? WPF C#

    It is my first question on StackOverflow so I hope I am doing nothing wrong ! Sorry if it is the case ! I need some help because I can not find the solution of my problem. Of course I have searched everywhere on the web but I can not find it (can not post the links that I am using because of my low reputation :( ). Moreover, I am new in C# and WPF (and self-learning). I used to work in C++/Qt so I do not know how everything works in WPF. And sorry for my English, I am French. My problem My basic classes are that an Employee can use a computer. The id of the computer and the date of use are stored into the class Connection. I would like to display the list information in a DataGrid and in RowDetailsTemplate like here : http://i.stack.imgur.com/Bvn1z.png So it will do a binding to the Employee class but also to the Connection class with only the last value of the property (here the last value of the list "Computer ID" and the last value of the list "Connection Date" on this last computer). So it is a loop in the different lists. How can I do it ? Is it too much to do ? :( I succeed to get the Employee informations but I do not know how to bind the list of computer. When I am trying, it shows me "(Collection)" so it does not go inside the list :( Summary of Questions How to display/bind a value from a list AND from a different class in a DataGrid ?     I have two basic SQL Server tables: Customer (ID [pk], AddressLine1, AddressLine2, AddressCity, AddressDistrict, AddressPostalCode) CustomerAddress(ID [pk], CustomerID [fk], Line1, Line2, City, District, PostalCode) CustomerAddress contains multiple addresses for the Customer record. For each Customer record I want to merge the most recent CustomerAddress record where most recent is determined by the highest CustomerAddress ID value. I've currently got the following: UPDATE Customer SET AddressLine1 = CustomerAddress.Line1, AddressPostalCode = CustomerAddress.PostalCode FROM Customer, CustomerAddress WHERE Customer.ID = CustomerAddress.CustomerID which works but how can I ensure that the most recent (highest ID) CustomerAddress record is selected to update the Customer table?

  • Better alternative for PipedReader/PipedWriter?

    I need to have a buffered char stream, into which I write in one thread and from which I read in another thread. Right now I'm using PipedReader and PipedWriter for it, but those classes cause a performance problem: PipedReader does a wait(1000) when its internal buffer is empty, which causes my application to lag visibly. Would there be some library which does the same thing as PipedReader/PipedWriter, but with better performance? Or will I have to implement my own wheels?

The matrix looks like: ATOM 1223 ZX SOD A 11 2.11 -1.33 12.33 ATOM 1224 ZY SOD A 11 -2.99 -2.92 20.22 ATOM 1225 XH HEL A 12 -3.67 9.55 21.54 ATOM 1226 SS ARG A 13 -6.55 -3.09 42.11 ... here the last three columns are representing values for axes x,y,z respectively. now I what I wanted to do is, take the values of x,y,z for 1st line and subtract with 2nd,3rd,4th line in a iterative way and print the values for each axes. I was using: for line in map(str.split,inp): x = line[-3] y = line[-2] z = line[-1] for separating the values, but how to do in iterative way. should I do it by using Counter.

    I've been testing my app on a SQL Server 2005 database, and am trying to establish a preliminary picture of the query performance using sys.dm_exec_query_stats. Problem: there's a particular query that I'm interested in, because total_elapsed_time and last_elapsed_time are both large numbers. When I tickle my app to invoke that query (this runs successfully), then refresh my view of the stats, I find that 1) execution_count has incremented (expected) 2) last_execution_time has updated to now (expected) 3) last_elapsed_time is still a large value (not expected - I anticipated a new value) 4) total_elapsed_time is unchanged (contradiction?) If last_elapsed_time refers to the execution that happened @ last_execution_time, then the total_elapsed_time should have increased? This documentation: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189741(SQL.90).aspx tells me that last_execution_time is the last time the plan was executed, and last_elapsed_time comes from the "most recently executed plan", but doesn't tell me why those might be different. The query itself is uncomplicated (SELECT/WHERE/ORDER BY - parameters appearing in the where clause, but no clever operations), the table has maybe 25 rows in it right now. Questions: 1) What's the real relationship between execution_count, last_execution_time, and last_elapsed_time? 2) Where is the documentation of this relationship (manual, third party book, blog, bug ticket, stone tablets...) ?

    Good Morning - it is school assignment, I am not asking for any source code (if you can provide any pesudo code it would be awesome). Here is the problem :( I have to create a term frequency table. It is not pure TF, I just need to count the words and write down. I know basic steps to do it 1 - extract all terms (I can do it with file reader) 2 - remove repeating terms (I can do it with TreeMap) The output of 2nd step would be Niga, ponga, dinga, bitlo, etc. 3 - Now I have to see if there is any word in current file from above terms or not, if yes then I will count. Now this is my problem, I stucked on step 3 :( I have some idea how to count words with TreeMap (treemap.containskey etc.) but it would be global count not local count for each file :( Any pseudo code?

  • Send data over telnet without pressing enter

    I've recently started messing around with Java sockets and telnet... I want the user to be able to connect to the server, just type a letter and have it sent to the server, without pressing enter to send it. I'm sure there's no way for the server to set this up, but maybe telnet has a parameter or something which could allow this? Maybe if I got the user to type stty cbreak or stty raw before running telnet, this would work? (UNIX only, I know!) If I can get telnet to do this then it saves me having to write a special client just for this feature...

  • highlighting data values in a sql result set

    I can think of a number of ways to do this in PHP or even JavaScript, but I'm wondering if there's a SQL-based technique I'm overlooking. I have a database table, let's say 20 fields X 10 rows. I want to display the entire table on an web page, so I'd do something like SELCT * FROM data_table;, and then format the result set using HTML table tags. However, I'd also like to highlight values in the table based on whether they are the maximum or minimum value in their column. For example, I'd add bold tags around the max in each column. A resulting table might look something like this, with bold tags shown: id | field1 | field2 | field3 | ... 0 | 5 | 2 | <b>7</b> | ... 1 | 3 | <b>8</b> | 6 | ... 2 | <b>9</b> | 5 | 1 | ... ... I could do a separate SELECT with an ORDER BY for each field and then interpret the results, but that seems like a lot of extra DB access. My alternative right now is to just fetch the whole table, and then sort/search for the highlight values using PHP. Is there a better way?

    I've been trying to estimate the size of an Access table with a certain number of records. It has 4 Longs (4 bytes each), and a Currency (8 bytes). In theory: 1 Record = 24 bytes, 500,000 = ~11.5MB However, the accdb file (even after compacting) increases by almost 30MB (~61 bytes per record). A few extra bytes for padding wouldn't be so bad, but 2.5X seems a bit excessive - even for Microsoft bloat. What's with the discrepancy? The four longs are compound keys, would that matter?
