  • AbcPDF renders the same page multiple times

    I need to retrieve several pages and output this in a PDF document. I have the following page structure: Page 1 Sub 1 Sub 2 Sub 3 On page one, I have a link which executes the below code. What it does, is to retrieve child pages (one level) and put them in a page collection. Then I loop trough the page collection and retrieve each sub pages URL. This works. I've tested and seen that it retrieves 3 different URL's. The problem is that my PDF gets three pages of Page 1. It does not render Sub 1 to 3. Why isn't docID = document.AddImageUrl(pageLink) retrieving the pages? Websupergoo refers to a caching problem which may occur. But their solution did not help me. What i was wondering was how to write a script that allows users to pay online for the articles they selected? It doesn't need to be any code, just ideas / hints / tips / ...   • "Create table if not exists" - how to check the schema, too?

    Is there a (more or less) standard way to check not only whether a table named mytable exists, but also whether its schema is similar to what it should be? I'm experimenting with H2 database, and CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS mytable (....) statements apparently only check for the table´s name. I would expect to get an exception if there's a table with the given name, but different schema.

    Hi there, I've got a 32 bit application that connects normally to a DB2 database. (written in C) When I run it on a machine with a DB2 64 bit client, I get a SQLCODE -1390 from connect. (Win7 64 Bit, DB2 V9.7 client 64 bit) Connecting from the command line works (db2 connect to ...) With a 32 Bit DB2 client on the same Win7 64 Bit machine, the connect also works.     Hello, I'm trying to connect to an oracle database with sqldeveloper. I've installed the .Net oracle drivers and placed the tnsnames.ora file at C:\Oracle\product\11.1.0\client_1\Network\Admin. I'm using the following format in tnsnames.ora. dev = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.XXX.XXX)(PORT = XXXX)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = idpdev2) ) ) In sqldeveloper, when I try to create a new connection, no tns names show up as options. Is there something I'm missing?

    Let me set the stage: My application deals with gift cards. When we create cards they have to have a unique string that the user can use to redeem it with. So when someone orders our gift cards, like a retailer, we need to make a lot of new card objects and store them in the DB. With that in mind, I'm trying to see how quickly I can have my application generate 100,000 Cards. Database expert, I am not, so I need someone to explain this little phenomena: When I create 1000 Cards, it takes 5 seconds. When I create 100,000 cards it should take 500 seconds right? Now I know what you're wanting to see, the card creation method I'm using, because the first assumption would be that it's getting slower because it's checking the uniqueness of a bunch of cards, more as it goes along. So if you read through all of that code, you'll see that it does all of it's uniqueness testing before it ever starts creating cards. It also writes status updates to the screen while it's running, and it always sits for a while at creating. Meanwhile it flies through the uniqueness tests. So my question to the stackoverflow community is: Why is my database slowing down as I add more cards? Why is this not a linear function in regards to time per card? I'm sure the answer is simple and I'm just a moron who knows nothing about data storage. And if anyone has any suggestions, how would you optimize this method, and how fast do you think you could get it to create 100,000 cards? (When I plotted out my times on a graph and did a quick curve fit to get my line formula, I calculated how long it would take to create 100,000 cards with my current code and it says 5.5 hours. That maybe completely wrong, I'm not sure. But if it stays on the line I curve fitted, it would be right around there.)

  • IntellIJ editor doesn't appear

    I updated my IntellIJ install to the latest version (11.1.4) and now the Editor window doesn't appear. Double-clicking on the file, jump-to-source, nothing happens. No error message, it just doesn't appear. If I double-click on an xml layout file the preview window works, but no Editor window. Have installed and reinstalled; went back to an earlier version and it doesn't work there either. I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Update: Editor works if I create a new project.   • JSON is used only for JavaScript?

    I am storing a JSON string in the database that represents a set of properties. In the code behind, I export it and use it for some custom logic. Essentially, I am using it only as a storage mechanism. I understand XML is better suited for this but I read that JSON is faster and preferred. Is it a good practice to use JSON if the intention is not to use the string on the client side?

    I can't for the life of me figure out this Sqlite syntax. Our database contains records like: TX, Austin OH, Columbus OH, Columbus TX, Austin OH, Cleveland OH, Dayton OH, Columbus TX, Dallas TX, Houston TX, Austin (State-field and a city-field.) I need output like this: OH: Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton TX: Dallas, Houston, Austin (Each state listed once... and all the cities in that state.) What would the SELECT statement(s) look like?
