I'm getting this on some cases, when going back to the activity, which uses a FragmentStatePagerAdapter, using back button of the devices. Not always. Not reproducible. I'm using support package v4, last revision (8). Already searched with google, no success finding a useful answer. Looking in the source, it's thrown here: FragmentManager.java @Override public void putFragment(Bundle bundle, String key, Fragment fragment) { if (fragment.mIndex < 0) { throw new IllegalStateException("Fragment " + fragment + " is not currently in the FragmentManager"); } bundle.putInt(key, fragment.mIndex); } But why is the index of fragment < 0 there? Im trying to swipe left and right on a listview and get the viewflipper to swtich. Just like the remeberthemilk app and the default news and weather app on the nexus one (Swiping through news topics). onServiceConnected never called after bindService method

Hi, I have a particular situation: a service started by a broadcast receiver starts an activity. I want to make it possible for this activity to communicate back to the service. I have chosen to use AIDL to make it possible. Everything seems works good except for bindService() method called in onCreate() of the activity. bindService(), in fact, throws a null pointer exception because onServiceConnected() is never called while onBind() method of the service is. Anyway bindService() returns true. The service is obviously active because it starts the activity. I know that calling an activity from a service could sound strange, but unfortunately this is the only way to have speech recognition in a service. Thanks in advance

Hello, I'm writing an application which is able to communicate with my PC. I have used the Bluetooth functionalities of the SDK 2.1. I can find devices, get their MAC address, create a RFCOMM socket, but when I start the connection, I get the following error message : Service discovery failed. 1)Is it because of the UUID which is not the same on my application and on my PC ? 2)How can I get the correct UUID on my PC ? If I write a such application, is my Nexus one the client or the server ? Thanks a lot for your help !

I receive the following error that causes a force-close: org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatParser$ParseException: At line 1, column 0: no element found at org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatParser.parseFragment(ExpatParser.java:508) at org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatParser.parseDocument(ExpatParser.java:467) at org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatReader.parse(ExpatReader.java:329) at org.apache.harmony.xml.ExpatReader.parse(ExpatReader.java:286) After clicking the Force Close button, the Activity is recreated and the parsing completes without a hitch. Syntax error on token "QUOTE", VariableDeclaratorId expected after this token

I've posted a bigger chunk of the code below. You can see that initially QUOTE was procedural- coded in place. I'm trying to learn how to use declarative design so I want to do the same thing but by using resources. It seems like I need to access the string.xml thru the @R.id tag and identify QUOTE with that string value. But I don't know enough to negotiate this. Any tips? After I had a lot of problems with preemptive authentication , I got it finally working. Now the next problem. I want to get a file with it, but I don't know how. I thought the file data might be in the variable response, but it isn't. Any ideas how this might work? GridView with horizontal scroll

I currently have a GridView scrolling vertically, and everything works fine. But now that I want to change my layout and have the gridview grow on its width instead of height as it grows bigger I am lost. I have tried to simply change the column width each time an item is added to the gridview. But no vertical scroll appears, even though the items are added correctly. Is there a neat way to fix this, or must I make my own gridview? :( Cheers,
