    Hi all, I am writing a macro in MS Word which should find all highlighted text in a document and perform some action on each. I am planning a loop to do the search and manipulation part and have no problem with this part of the code. But I don't know how to find how many iterations I'm going to need.     Is this: Box boxToFind = AllBoxes.Where(box => box.BoxNumber == boxToMatchTo.BagNumber); Faster or slower than this: Box boxToFind ; foreach (Box box in AllBoxes) { if (box.BoxNumber == boxToMatchTo.BoxNumber) { boxToFind = box; } } Both give me the result I am looking for (boxToFind). This is going to run on a mobile device that I need to be performance conscientious of.

    I have a project that involves recording data from a device directly into a sql table. I do very little processing in code before writing to sql server (2008 express by the way) typically i use the sqlhelper class's ExecuteNoneQuery method and pass in a stored proc name and list of parameters that the SP expects. This is very convenient, but i need a much faster way of doing this. Thanks.

    Using Actionscript 3 is there a way to search one bitmap for the coordinates matching pixels of another bitmap? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1914/wired.png Somehow you would have to loop through the bigger bitmap to find and the the pixel range that matches and return those coordinates. For example the Bitmap with the "E" is 250 pixels over and 14 pixels down in the bigger bitmap. I haven't been able to come up with the solution on my own. Thanks.
