Hiding part of a page from Search Server 2010 Express

I'm working on a soon-to-be-public-facing site, and we want to have our search live on day 1, and want it to be searchable but non-public during testing, so we're planning to use something whose crawling we can control -- Search Server 2010 Express. However, if I search for something in my top navigation bar, I get nearly every page as a hit. It kinda makes sense, as every page has that content, but it's completely irrelevant on most pages. I want it to crawl through my navigation, but ignore the text within the navigation for search results. I was hoping that it'd just figure that out on it's own (the HTML for the top nav is static), but it's apparently not. Is there some standard thing I can put in my HTML that will achieve the effect I'm going for? On a side note: when I go live, will I have the same problem with public search engines, or do they tend to be smarter?

Adapting non-iterable containers to be iterated via custom templatized iterator

I have some classes, which for various reasons out of scope of this discussion, I cannot modify (irrelevant implementation details omitted): class Foo { /* ... irrelevant public interface ... */ }; class Bar { public: Foo& get_foo(size_t index) { /* whatever */ } size_t size_foo() { /* whatever */ } }; (There are many similar 'Foo' and 'Bar' classes I'm dealing with, and it's all generated code from elsewhere and stuff I don't want to subclass, etc.) [Edit: clarification - although there are many similar 'Foo' and 'Bar' classes, it is guaranteed that each "outer" class will have the getter and size methods. Only the getter method name and return type will differ for each "outer", based on whatever it's "inner" contained type is. So, if I have Baz which contains Quux instances, there will be Quux& Baz::get_quux(size_t index), and size_t Baz::size_quux().] Given the design of the Bar class, you cannot easily use it in STL algorithms (e.g. for_each, find_if, etc.), and must do imperative loops rather than taking a functional approach (reasons why I prefer the latter is also out of scope for this discussion): Bar b; size_t numFoo = b.size_foo(); for (int fooIdx = 0; fooIdx < numFoo; ++fooIdx) { Foo& f = b.get_foo(fooIdx); /* ... do stuff with 'f' ... */ } So... Why isn't this simple program working?

I'm writing a very basic program that aims for the text view to display the phrase "Hello" after a button is pressed on the screen. However, I can't get this program to work; every time I run it, it says that the application has stopped unexpectedly. Does table columns increase select statement execution time

I have 2 tables, same structure, same rows, same data but the first has more columns (fields). For example: I select the same 3 fields from both of them (SELECT a,b,c FROM mytable1 and then SELECT a,b,c FROM mytable2) I've tried to run those queries on 100,000 records (for each table) but at the end I got the same execution time (0.0006 sec) Do you know if the number of the columns (and in the end the size of the one table is bigger than the other) has to do something with the query execution time?

ASP webservice serialization of properties

I got a class like this which gets returned from an ASP webservice: class Data { public int A { get; set; } public int B { get; set; } public int Sum { get { return A + B; } } } When I try to consume the webservice on the client side using Silverlight I only get the properties A and B but I also need Sum. I know I can't return any logic from a webservice, so the expected behavior was it will return the the Sum as a fixed/precalculated property in the client which is what I need. Any ideas except for redesigning my class? Thanks ...

mySQL Trigger works after console insert, but not after script insert.

Hello, I have a strange wird problem with a trigger: I set up a trigger for update other tables after an insert in a table. If i make an insert from mysql console, all works fine, but if i do inserts from external python script, trigger does nothing, as you can see bellow. When i insert from console, works fine, but insert THE SAME DATA from python script, doesn't works, i try changing the Definer to 'user'@'%' and 'root'@'%' but stills doing nothing. Any idea of what van be wrong? Visual Studio keeps inserting absurd default property value in designer file

i have a simple usercontrol with following properties: public partial class RichTextEditorControl : UserControl { public string EditorText { get { return richTextBox1.Rtf; } set { richTextBox1.Rtf = value; } } public string EditorPlainText { get { return richTextBox1.Text; } set { richTextBox1.Text = value; } } } Now whenever I EDIT a form which contains this control, VS fills its designer file with the following code line, and then throws a designer error : this.richTextEditorControl1.EditorPlainText = global::Project.Resources.MyResources_de_DE.SomeString; Now I don't know where it gets this value from ??? I've searched entire solution, and nowhere there's mention of this var, except for 1 file, where it's needed ... Moreover, the code VS writes, has an error in it ?! It doesn't compile ... The only thing I can do is edit the designer file, but the next time I have to edit the form with the designer, the same error happens again ... Where on earth is VS getting this value from ??

high tweet status IDs causing failed to open stream errors?

Erg. Starting in the past few days high tweet IDs (at least, it appears it's ID related, but I suppose it could be some recent change in the api returns) are breaking my code. At first I tried passing the ID as a string instead of an integer to this function, and I thought this worked, but in reality it was just the process of uploading the file from my end. In short, a php script generates these function calls, and when it does so, they fail. If I download the php file the call is generated into, delete the server copy and re-upload the exact same file without changing it, it works fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this behavior? Below is what I suspect to be the most important part of the individual files that are pulling the errors. afterTransactionCompletion not working

I've tried all the ways I know of but I can't make it work. What's more surprising is that the onSave method works fine. Help ! Java Thread Message Passing

I'm writing an Android app. I have a main method, which creates and runs a new Thread using an anonymous inner Runnable class. The run() method, when it's done, calls a method on it's parent class (in the main thread) that calls notifyDataSetChanged() so that the main thread can redraw the new data. This is causing all kinds of trouble (ViewRoot$CalledFromWrongThreadException). The thing is, this method being called from the worker thread is on the class that's created in the UI thread. Shouldn't that be running on the UI thread? Or am I missing something? Hi, I load a js variable like this: var message = '<%= CAnunturi.CPLATA_RAMBURS_INFO %>'; where the static string CPLATA_RAMBURS_INFO i put like: public static string CPLATA_RAMBURS_INFO = "test"; I use it very well in this method. <script type="text/javascript"> var categoryParam = '<%= CQueryStringParameters.CATEGORY %>'; var subcategoryParam = '<%= CQueryStringParameters.SUBCATEGORY1_ID %>'; var message = '<%= CAnunturi.CPLATA_RAMBURS_INFO %>'; function timedInfo(header) { $.jGrowl(message, { header: header }); }; </script> so the message appears. I do not undersand, why, iso of "test", if i take the value from a static method, ths use of message js var is no longer succesfull (the message no longer appears). public static string CPLATA_RAMBURS_INFO = getRambursInfo(); public static string getRambursInfo() { return System.IO.File.ReadAllText(PathsUtil.getRambursPlataFilePath()); } Any help would be highly appreciated....

Error: cant find main class

Java Null Pointer Exception :-(

I've got a Null Pointer Exception in my main that just won't go away and I'm totally out of ideas. The error is on the line "Board[x][y].color = 2;" in which Board is a public, static array of piece objects that contain instance variables like the one "color" that is being set to 2 in the above statement. Pieces is not static - that is there are many different copies of pieces, each with its own data, but only one board. The array has been initialized and defined as both public Piece[][] Board = new Piece[8][8] and public static Piece[][] Board = new Piece[8][8], but no matter how I mess around with it (getting rid of static, putting the variable in another object, etc.), I can't seem to get the error to go away. Help?

How to avoid double construction of proxy with DynamicProxy::CreateClassProxyWithTarget?

I am decorating an existing object using the CreateClassProxyWithTarget method. However, the constructor and therefore, initialization code, is being called twice. I already have a "constructed" instance (the target). I understand why this happens, but is there a way to avoid it, other than using an empty constructor? Edit: Here is some code: First the proxy creation: public static T Create<T>(T i_pEntity) where T : class { object pResult = m_pGenerator.CreateClassProxyWithTarget(typeof(T), new[] { typeof(IEditableObject), typeof(INotifyPropertyChanged) , typeof(IMarkerInterface), typeof(IDataErrorInfo) }, i_pEntity, ProxyGenerationOptions.Default, new BindingEntityInterceptor<T>(i_pEntity)); return (T)pResult; } I use this for example with an object of the following class: public class KatalogBase : AuditableBaseEntity { public KatalogBase() { Values = new HashedSet<Values>(); Attributes = new HashedSet<Attributes>(); } ... } If i now call BindingFactory.Create(someKatalogBaseObject); the Values and Attributes properties are beeing initialized again.

apache Digester: Unexspected NoSuchMethodException on addSetNestedProperties

Hi, I have a problem using Digester and I hope you can help me. I have the following Bean: public class MyEntry { private String entityID; public String getEntityID() { return this.entityID; } public void setEntityID(final String entityID) { this.entityID = entityID; } } And the following XML structure: <entries> <entry> <MyID> 24309LAGH1 </MyID> </entry> </entries> I use the addSetNestedProperties(…) method of the digester API: digester.addSetNestedProperties("entries/entry", "MyID", "entryID"); The following exception occurs: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: Bean has no property named MyID Why is digester searching for a property named “MyID”? I specified “entryID” as bean property accorsing to the digester API Thanks :) Best regards QStorm
