  • Redirect to a web server depending on location with nginx

    Im working on a web site that has to be reachable from many countries under the same domain. Id like to know how can I receive a request with nginx (or any other static file server), and send it to different web servers depending on IP's location. I mean, what is the point on having multiple db machines on country A and B, if the server that serves you the page is chosen by round robin. Maybe theres another solution to my problem, and I would be very happy if someone can explain it to me.

    Questions needing answers : Does the finalizer of the client side ServicedComponent call ServicedComponent.DisposeObject or Dispose? How should destruction (release of memory) occur in the com server in realtion to its usage in the client? Basically - we are reaching a 2 gig limit on process size (memory) of the COM server as memory is not being released - is the solution to call explicitly call Dispose or use the using statement in the client?

    I am looking for a solution to create a "virtual" webcam device under OS X (that acts just as a normal hardware webcam, but the application has full control over what to output). I'm fairly experienced with C++, but not so much with Objective-C and OSX/Cocoa programming. Anyone that can point me in the right direction, where to look and what I should be looking for?   • How to set which version of the VC++ runtime Visual Studio 2005 targets

    I have an application that contains a VC++ project (along with C# projects). Previously, (i.e. during the last year or so) when a build has been done, Visual Studio 2005 appears to be targeting the VC++ runtime version 8.0.50727.762. At least, that is what the Assembly.dll.intermediate.manifest file is telling me: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?> <assembly xmlns='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1' manifestVersion='1.0'> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type='win32' name='Microsoft.VC80.CRT' version='8.0.50727.762' processorArchitecture='x86' publicKeyToken='1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b' /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly> This version number matches the Visual Studio 2005 version number. The application worked fine when deployed to the webserver. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and all was right with the world. Now something has changed. I don't know what - a security patch, an obscure Visual Studio setting or something. Now Visual Studio 2005 seems to be targeting the wrong version of the VC++ runtime: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?> <assembly xmlns='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1' manifestVersion='1.0'> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type='win32' name='Microsoft.VC80.CRT' version='8.0.50727.4053' processorArchitecture='x86' publicKeyToken='1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b' /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly> When I deploy the application to the webserver, I get the dreaded This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1) error. This problem occurs even when I recompile previous versions of the application. I can absolutely guarantee that nothing at all has changed in the solution - we zip up the entire contents of the solution as part of the build process and archive it. I have unzipped a number of these to a temp directory, verified that the previous manifest file refers to 8.0.50727.762, recompiled using exactly the same command at the command line and then verified that the new manifest file now refers to 8.0.50727.4053. I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 77646-008-0000007-41610. Why would Visual Studio revert to a previous version of the VC++ runtime? How do I specify which version it should use? What is going wrong here?

The only solution i can see at the minute is querying IMDB and scraping the page.     Hello, My requirement is that there are 2 parties 1. User (who creates the item) 2.Approvers who approve the item When the user creates the item then they should see only their created item in the list (This is easily possible)...the approvers should have only read access and they can see all the items ...when i select the option that only person who creates the item can see the item then approvers are not able to see the items...can somebody plz help that how to work with this...maybe i am missing some simple stuff so can anybody just point me out to the solution..     My Code: $('#myTextArea').one('focus', function() { $('#myTextArea')[0].selectionStart = 2; $('#myTextArea')[0].selectionEnd = 6; $('#myTextArea')[0].focus(); }); The code works fine, on focus (only once), it selects from index 2 to 6. The problem: since this function is called on focus, it does the custom focus, but then it calls focus AGAIN and I lose focus of the selected text. Any possible solution?
