    Is there anyway to find the date difference in php? I have the input of from date 2003-10-17 and todate 2004-03-24. I need the results how many days is there within these two days. Say if 224 days, i need the output in days only. I find the solution through mysql but i need in php. Anyone help me, Thanks in advance.

    I have this code in jquery to prevent non-numeric characters being inputted to the text field $("#NumericField").numeric(); Now, on the text field i cant input non-numeric characters. That is OK. The problem here is if the user will paste on the text field with non numeric characters. Is there a way/method to disable pasting if the value is non-numeric? Or is there any other approach to handle this situation that you can share?

  • Monitor USB optical mouse activity for movement and call a program on Windows

    I'm essentially looking to monitor a USB port input for whatever happens when the optical mouse detects its own movement and turns itself on. These mice usually have a dim red light when in "standby" mode and then the red light becomes brighter once you start moving it around. I want to use Visual Basic or something else native to the Windows environment to open an exe file or play a wav sound or call a bat file when the mouse "wakes up". Any suggestions or pushes in the right direction are appreciated.

    Is there an efficient, quick and simple example of doing differential b/w image compression? Or even better, some simple (but lossless) streaming technique which could accept a number of frames as input? I have a simple b/w image (320x200) stream, displaying something similar to a LED display, which is updated about once a second using AJAX. Images are pretty similar most of the time, so if I subtracted them, result would compress pretty well (even with simple RLE). Is something like this available?

In the constructor of the handler I generate an index that remains fairly static between request (needs to be rebuilt maybe once a day). How can I cache the the index between calls? Debugging indicates that the constructor is called for each request. I've set IsReusable to "false".

    Hey Guys I am getting some extra characters like '5ae' and '45c' interspersed along with valid data when using http_post_data. The data I am sending is XML and so is the response. The response contains these weird characters thats making the XML invalid. If I use fsockopen I do not have this issue. Would really like some input on this.

I wrote the following perl script to recursively loop through a directory and in all html files for img/script/a tags do the following: Convert the entire url to lowercase Replace spaces and %20 with underscores The script works great except when an image tag in wrapped with an anchor tag. Is there a way to modify the current script to also be able to manipulate the links for nested tags that are not on separate lines?     0I am using jQuery to calculate a running total on multiple textboxes. Just found an awesome response on how to get that working a few days ago, but now I am running into another problem. When using one selector, the total for GetTotal is calculated perfectly. However, when I include the second selector, the totals begin to conflict with one another, and no longer calculate properly. I have been searching for a solution to this for some time now, does anyone have any ideas?     I want to toggle two radio buttons and select fields based on which radio button is selected. I have the jQuery working, but want to know if there is a way to make it more efficient. Seems like quite a few lines for the simple goal I am trying to achieve. Here are the requirements: when the page loads, #aircraftType should be checked and #aircraftModelSelect should be grayed out (right now, the "checked" is being ignored by Firefox). If the user clicks either #aircraftType or #aircraftModel, the opposite select field should become disabled (if #aircraftModel is checked, #aircraftTypeSelect should be disabled, and vise versa). Any help on optimizing this code is appreciated.
