    I am having problems trying to use the regular expression that I used in JavaScript. On a web page, you may have: <b>Renewal Date:</b> 03 May 2010</td> I just want to be able to pull out the 03 May 2010, remembering that a webpage has more than just the above content. The way I currently perform this using JavaScript is: DateStr = /<b>Renewal Date:<\/b>(.+?)<\/td>/.exec(returnedHTMLPage); I tried to follow some tutorials on java.util.regex.Pattern and java.util.regex.Matcher with no luck. I can't seem to be able to translate (.+?) into something they can understand?? thanks, Noeneel

    How can I list the numbers 01 to 12 (one for each of the 12 months) in such a way so that the current month always comes last where the oldest one is first. In other words, if the number is grater than the current month, it's from the previous year. e.g. 02 is Feb, 2011 (the current month right now), 03 is March, 2010 and 09 is Sep, 2010 but 01 is Jan, 2011. In this case, I'd like to have [09, 03, 01, 02]. This is what I'm doing to determine the year: for inFile in os.listdir('.'): if inFile.isdigit(): month = months[int(inFile)] if int(inFile) <= int(strftime("%m")): year = strftime("%Y") else: year = int(strftime("%Y"))-1 mnYear = month + ", " + str(year) I don't have a clue what to do next.   • What will happen if I change the type of a column from int to year?

    I have a table in MySQL 4.0 which currently has a year field as a smallint(6) type. What will happen if I convert it directly to a Year type with a query like the following: ALTER TABLE t MODIFY y YEAR(4) NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; When the current members of column y have values like 2010? I assume that because the year type is technically values from 1-255, values above that will be truncated or broken. So if MySQL isn't smart enough to realize that 2010(int) = 110(year), what would be the simplest query or queries to convert the values? Thanks for your help!

It consists of the following fields: report_id INT ym VARCHAR -- YYYY-MM keyword VARCHAR(MAX) visits INT I can easily get the top 10 keyword hits with the following query: SELECT TOP 10 * FROM top_keywords WHERE ym BETWEEN '2010-05' AND '2010-05' ORDER BY visits DESC Now where it gets tricky is where I have to get the top 10 records for each report_id in the given date range (ym BETWEEN @start_date AND @end_date). How would I go about getting the top 10 for each report_id? I've stumbled across suggestions involving the use of ROW_NUMBER() and RANK(), but have been vastly unsuccessful in their implementation.

  • What binary architectures should be cross-compiled when building Mac OS X packages?

    Currently, Apple's native binaries and libraries are distributed as fat files, with support for both i386 and x86_64 architectures. The SDK (Xcode 4.4 w/ command line tools) doesn't support cross-compiling powerpc binaries any more, so they can be safely ignored I think, but there doesn't seem to be any specific guidelines or recommendations about which Intel architectures to support. So, when compiling code for distribution on OS X, do people still cross-compile for the i386 architecture? Or are x86_64 binaries the only architecture worth bothering with nowadays?

    Just a stupid question. I could try it out in 2 minutes, really. It's just that I have 1 GB RAM and have already got 2 instances of VS 2010 open on my desktop, with an instance of VS 2005, too. Opening another instance of VS 2010 would be an over kill. Can I have a type (for now forgetting its semantics) that can be covariant as well as contravariant?     I am using wordpress and I am displaying my archives list in a sidebar using the function wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); I have posts from Feb 2005 to April 2010 but I want to display June 2009 onwards links. (i.e. june 2009, july 2009, ....april 2010). How do I prevent Feb 2005 - may 2005 from being displayed in the archives list. (Please don't suggest adding a limit i.e. wp_get_archives('type=daily&limit=15'); . That will not solve my problem)

    If I have a pair of dates, and I want to generate a list of all the dates between them (inclusive), I can do something like: System.DateTime s = new System.DateTime(2010, 06, 05); System.DateTime e = new System.DateTime(2010, 06, 09); var list = Enumerable.Range(0, (e - s).Days) .Select(value => s.AddDays(value)); What I'm stuck on is that I've got a list of pairs of dates that I want to explode into a list of all the dates between them. Example: {2010-05-06, 2010-05-09}, {2010-05-12, 2010-05-15} should result in {2010-05-06, 2010-05-07, 2010-05-08, 2010-05-09, 2010-05-12, 2010-05-13, 2010-05-14, 2010-05-15} Note the pairs of dates are guaranteed not to overlap each other.

    When I first start one of my Wordpress blogs, I had the permanent URL for each post include the date of posting. The slug format looked like this: /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ Later on, I changed it so that the date was not included in the permanent URL, like this: /blog/this-is-my-article/ and setup a redirect plugin to make sure that users would get to the page they wanted until the site was re-indexed. In Google Analytics, when I review the stats for content I now have multiple records for what is essentially the same page. ie: Top Content List: 45 Pageviews- /blog/this-is-my-article/ 24 Pageviews- /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ 33 Pageviews- /blog/some-other-article/ Is there any way to combine those records somehow?

    I am able to access the controls of ".aspx" file in ".aspx.cs" directly without any declaration in ".aspx.cs" or in designer.cs. How is this possible? This is happeing only if I open website as using File System. Create a new ASP.NET web site application with Visual Studio 2008. So following three files will be created automatically              "Default.aspx",              "Default.aspx.cs"              "Default.designer.cs" Now Delete "Default.designer.cs" perminently. Just create a button in Default.aspx file    <asp:Button runat="server" Text="Save Plan" ID="btnSave" />   Close the Solution and open the website as File System.               File -> Open Web Site -> File System -> Select Web Site Folder and Open the project.                   Now btnSave is automatically recognized in Default.aspx.cs without any declaration in Default.aspx.cs as bellow                            System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button btnSave; How btnSave is being recognized by .cs file without defining it anywhere as an object of System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button?     Hi, I have a XML file with a few concert dates. In my flash/AS3 file, I would like to show only the up coming event, relative to current date. Like this: Event 01: 30-05-2010 Event 02: 02-06-2010 Event 03: 05-06-2010 Today is 28-05-2010, so I need to list Event 01. On 01-06-2010 I need to list Event 02. In the following code try raise Exception.Create('Error Message'); except on E: Exception do begin ResultStatus := JclLastExceptStackListToStrings(sl, True, True, True, True); end; end; Also I have this call in the initialization section: initialization JclStartExceptionTracking; ResultStatus is false and sl is empty. I have set options to generate map and .jdbg files. Other functions, like ProcByLevel work fine. Is there something else I need to do to make JclLastExceptStackListToStrings work?     I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. I get the following as the response HTTP Headers: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:40:39 GMT Content-Length: 93 Content-Type: text/html whereas I got previous: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Connection: close Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:41:18 GMT Set-Cookie: _session_id=<correct id>; path=/ Status: 302 Found Location: <correct url> Cache-Control: no-cache Server: Mongrel 1.1.5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 93 Anyone knows how to fix this? Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.
