  There are plenty of tutorials on setting up AnyConnect on an ASA unit, and a handful of links noting that IOS 12.4(15) and later support AnyConnect, but I can't seem to find any good documentation about how to setup AnyConnect on IOS; most tutorials assume you only want a clientless VPN on IOS. the best I've found is this document on Cisco's site, but it's not working for me in practice - see below. • How do you host multiple public facing websites on a VPS?

  We host about 30 websites using typical shared hosting plans using ASP.NET and SQL 2000/2005/2008. I am now wondering about hosting all of these websites using our own virtual private server. This is clearly cheaper but comes with a lot of questions I need answers to: Is the risk of having to keep this VPS server up and running worth it? Until now, the host provider has managed the server and we have not had to worry about crashes, downtime, software patches etc. We are not server administrators, we are programmers, so this is not really our expertise. On the other hand, it may not be hard to learn. When we make a website live, we log in to a domain management control panel and change the primary and secondary name servers to point to our shared web host: Eg ns1.sharedwebhost.com and ns2.sharedwebhost.com These name servers are going to have to change when we have a VPS. I don’t understand anything about how to set this up. Is there some useful info anyone could direct me to? Or is there software we need to install to make the primary and secondary name servers work on our VPS? The control panel we have for shared hosting comes with DNS management like this: http://www.yart.com.au/stackoverflow/dns.png What software would I need to install to create this for each site we host at a VPS? The control panel we have for shared hosting also comes with a POP email interface that allows email addresses to be added easily by our customers. Is this something that can be easily set up at a VPS so clients can manage their own email addresses? Is there software we need to install to make this work?

• Blue screen of death while installing any Adobe Air application

  Whenever I try to install an Air application I get a Blue Screen and then my system restarts. I cannot even take a screenshot of it. This happens with every air application I try to install. I also searched for the same on Adobe forums and found the same problem being faced by someone else. His problem was resolved by uninstalling a software named "Folder Lock". I searched my hard disk for this software and found one, so I deleted that software (shift+delete) and removed all it's traces from registry too but that still doesn't solved the problem. I also tried disabling the antivirus software and then install the air application but this also didn't helped. Here is the screenshot of the BSOD. I was able to install air applications earlier, but now I can't. Anybody having same sort of problem. One colleague of mine is also having the same problem. Please help me out. On the drive I have set aside for WSS, I'm fast running out of space due to the ShareWebDb_log.ldf file: I've tried doing to do what I've read online - change the recovery mode, backup and truncate - but I can't actually see how I do this via the SQL Server Management Studio tool. Can anyone shed any light? The database for this file does not show in the list, and I cannot expand Management SQL Server Logs (because it's too large?).

  I'm looking for a reliable backup solution on Windows, something with a feature set similar to Yadis. I've been using CrashPlan for 2 months, but their software lost more than 1TB of my data, that's why I'm looking for alternatives. Requirements: Real-time folder-to-folder backup: I don't need online features, I want to use this to duplicate my files between my local disks. Versioning support: Should be able to choose how many versions to keep of the files. Plain backup: I'd like to be able to open the backup without special software. No proprietary file format. External disk support: Shouldn't have any problem using external disks, at least on the source side. Backup every file, even locked/system files. (Yadis fails this one) Should start automatically, and have a comfortable GUI. Should use actively maintained and/or popular software. I don't want to use discontinued products. Optional requirements: Low RAM usage I'm not really comfortable with something that eats 1GB of my RAM. Compression support Preferably ZIP, but I'm not picky about this. Any ordinary everyday format is acceptable. Freeware or Open Source Preferred, but not necessary. I can do a one-time payment within reasonable bounds. (preferably under $100) I only need Windows support, but if it works on Linux, that's a plus. • How do I troubleshoot a slow hard drive?

  My computer is suffering of slow-downs and I'm not surprised (it's around 6 years old). Here's what I've verified: They are not very frequent (only a couple of times a day). When they happen a single application will hang for 10-60 seconds, while the rest don't hang but also get slow. Even as it is happening, the CPU usage stays low. It happens to applications (such as text editor, firefox, skype). It never happens to some applications (such as games) which I use for hours under heavy CPU load. Also of note: The Graphics card and PSU are new (around a year). Though I have a decent amount of software installed right now, this was happening even right after I reinstalled Windows. This HDD has been through many partinioning schemes, and a few heavy operations (such as moving around 200GB of data). Because of the above, I am already 70% sure the problem is with the hard drive. Before I replace it, however, I want to rule out other less likely possibilities (such as RAM, software, or PSU). I don't have the money to replace the entire box right now, but I can easily replace one of the components. I've read several questions (such as this one) which give general guidance on troubleshooting an unknown issue, that is not what I'm looking for here. My main question is: What tests or benchmarks can I run to verify I have a problematic hard drive? I don't need to solve this problem, I am content with just making sure it's the hard drive. I could borrow a newer hard drive from a friend and see if it gets better. A positive result would rule out all other components, but it wouldn't rule out a software issue (since this new hard drive won't have any of the software I use daily). Running on Windows/Linux.

• Is it ever good to share a userid?

  On Un*x, Is it ever a good idea to have one userid that many different people log into when they do stuff? Often I'm installing software or something on a Linux or BSD system. I've developed software for 24 years now, so I know how to make the machine do what I want, but I've never had responsibility for maintaining a multi-user installation where anyone really cared about security. So my opinions feel untested. Now I'm at a company where there's a server that many people log into with a single userid and do stuff. I'm installing some software on it. It's not really a public-facing server, and is only accessible via VPN, but it's used by many people nonetheless, to run tests on custom software, things like that. It's a staging server. I'm thinking that at the very least, using a single user obscures an audit trail, and that's bad. And it's just inelegant, because people don't have their own spaces on the server. But then again, with more userids, maybe there's a greater chance that one can be compromised, allowing attackers to gain access. ?

  Does anyone know of a Windows Server 2008 role(s) to allow readonly access to MMC (MS Management Console) facilities - i.e. we would like to be able to view (not add/update/delete) "Administrative Tools" functionality such as IIS websites, Event log, Users and groups, status of services, etc. This is so we can connect to a say a Development server (administered by another team) to check configuration before/during deployment via say Administive Tools | Computer Management | Connect to another computer Many thanks Travis

  Hi there, I would like to know where are the WebSphere configuration details saved? Specifically, configuration details that are shown in the Administrative Console (from the web) or from the console using wsadmin. Some of the examples would be: Java and Process Management: Class loader, Process definition, Process execution Container Settings: Session management, SIP Container Settings, Web Container Settings, Portlet Container Settings Are there XML files that persist these configuration details?
