• How to log slow queries in shared hosting MySQL?

  I have a shared hosting where I have my website and MySQL database. I've installed a open source script for statistics (phpMyVisites) and it started to work very slow lately. It's written using some kind of framework and has many PHP files. I know that to find slow queries I can use slow query log functionality in MySQL. But on this shared hosting I can not use this method because I can not change my.cnf. I don't want to change my statistics script to other and I don't want to mess around with all files of this script to find out where to put diagnostics code to log queries manually. I would like to do it without changes in PHP code. So my question is: How to log slow queries in these coditions?: Can't change my.cnf to enable slow query log Can't change statistics script to other Don't know how scrpt is written and where mysql commands are issued Can't ask my provider for slow query log Is there any method to do this in simple, easy, fast way?

• Passing array into constructor to use on JList

  I know the title sound confusing and thats because it is. its a bit long so try too stay with me. this is the layout i have my code designed variables constructor methods. im trying too fill a Jlist full on names. i want too get those names using a method. so here goes. in my variables i have my JList. its called contactNames; i also have an array which stores 5 strings which are the contacts names; heres the code for that anyway String contact1; String contact2; String contact3; String contact4; String contact5; String[] contactListNames; JList contactList; simple enough. then in my constructor i have the Jlist defined to fill itself with the contents of the array fillContactList(); JList contactList = new JList(contactListNames); that method fillContactList() is coming up shortly. notice i dont have the array defined in the constructor. so heres my first question. can i do that? define the array to contain something in te constructor rather than filling it fromt the array. now heres where stuff gets balls up. ive created three different methods all of which havent worked. basically im trying to fill the array with all of them. this is the simplest one. it doesnt set the Jlist, it doesnt do anything compilicated. all it trys too do is fill the array one bit at a time public void fillContactList() { for(int i = 0;i<3;i++) { try { String contact; System.out.println(" please fill the list at index "+ i); Scanner in = new Scanner(System.in); contact = in.next(); contactListNames[i] = contact; in.nextLine(); } catch(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } unfortunately this doesnt qwork. i get the print out to fill it at index 0; i input something and i get a nice big stack trace starting at contactListNames[i] = contact; so my two questions in short are how i define an array in a constructor. and why cant i fill the array from that method. ************************888 **************************888 stack trace by request please fill the list at index 0 overtone java.lang.NullPointerException please fill the list at index 1 at project.AdminMessages.fillContactList(AdminMessages.java:408) at project.AdminMessages.<init>(AdminMessages.java:88) at project.AdminUser.createAdminMessages(AdminUser.java:32) at project.AdminUser.<init>(AdminUser.java:18) at project.AdminUser.main(AdminUser.java:47) it was a null poiinter exception

  I have a dictionary that is populated with data from a table, we are doing this so we can hold multiple SQL tables inside this object. This approached cannot be discussed. The Dictionary is mapped as a , and contains SQL column name and the value, and each dictionary resembles one row entry in the Table. Now I need to display this on a editable gridview, preferably the ASPxGridView. I already figured out that I should use Dynamic Objects(C#), and everything worked perfectly, up to the part where I find out that the ASPxGridview is built in .NET 2.0 and not 4.0 where Dynamic objects where implemented, therefor I cannot use it...   Im learning JQuery from a Sitepoint Book but Im trying to apply all the lessons to a Rails App. In one lesson, we are taught how to switch to a different stylesheet if the browser window is resized beyond a certain point. Here's the javascript code: if ($('body').width() > 900) { $('<link rel="stylesheet" href="wide.css" type="text/css" />') .appendTo('head'); } else { $('link[href=wide.css]').remove(); } Rails doesn't seem to want to link to the new stylesheet using 'link rel'. • Raw Video file from website

  I would like to make an app that will download videos files that can be played later. At first i thought I could have a UIWeb view and then try to access the cache of it and get the file that way but unfortunately i don't have access to that. After trying that my next thought would be get the direct link to the video file. Essentially what download helper does on fire fox. Any idea of where i could look at for help or any body have any better idea? Is there any stringByEvaluatingjavascript that might be of use or is there away to access the cache on a webview in your own app? Thanks for any help!

• Constructor versus setter injection

  Hi, I'm currently designing an API where I wish to allow configuration via a variety of methods. One method is via an XML configuration schema and another method is through an API that I wish to play nicely with Spring. My XML schema parsing code was previously hidden and therefore the only concern was for it to work but now I wish to build a public API and I'm quite concerned about best-practice. It seems that many favor javabean type PoJo's with default zero parameter constructors and then setter injection. The problem I am trying to tackle is that some setter methods implementations are dependent on other setter methods being called before them in sequence. I could write anal setters that will tolerate themselves being called in many orders but that will not solve the problem of a user forgetting to set the appropriate setter and therefore the bean being in an incomplete state. The only solution I can think of is to forget about the objects being 'beans' and enforce the required parameters via constructor injection. An example of this is in the default setting of the id of a component based on the id of the parent components. • Changing UINavigationBar font in Swift

  I have a UINavigationBar with a title in the middle. I have added a custom font ("Comic_Andy.ttf") to my app (I have checked info.plist to make sure it's listed, and I have checked the Copy Bundle Resources to make sure it has been added), and I would like the title of the UINavigationBar to be displayed in that font. From what I can gather it seems as though I'm supposed to use this in my ViewController: myNavigationBar.titleTextAttributes = [NSFontAttributeName: UIFont(name: "Comic_Andy", size: 22)] I placed that method in the viewDidLoad function of the ViewController. I have also tried this in the didFinishLaunchingWithOptions function of the AppDelegate: UINavigationBar.appearance().titleTextAttributes = [NSFontAttributeName: UIFont(name: "Comic_Andy", size: 22)] I am programming in Swift, in XCode 6 Beta 6. Many resources regarding this task have mentioned using a method called setTitleTextAttributes, which is nowhere to be seen. I can't figure it out for the life of me - I've probably spent close to 3 hours on it by now - I have checked every StackOverflow answer, every website, so please do not mark this as a duplicate. What I need is a grandParent() method to complement the Mootools parent(), but it appears that one does not exist. What's the best way to accomplish this in either Mootools or pure JavaScript? • [C#] What does MissingManifestResourceException mean and how to fix it?

  The situation: I have a class library, called RT.Servers, containing a few resources (of type byte[], but I don't think that's important) The same class library contains a method which returns one of those resources I have a simple program (with a reference to that library) that only calls that single method I get a MissingManifestResourceException with the following message: Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "Servers.Resources.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "RT.Servers" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed. I have never played around with cultures, or with assembly signing, so I don't know what's going on here. Also, this works in another project which uses the same library. Any ideas? Edit: I checked the .resx file; all the resources are marked as "Culture=neutral" there. Also, I noticed a similar question and went to check the namespace in Resources.Designer.cs, but it's correct (it's "RT.Servers").

  I want to include certain .js and .css files only on pages that need them. For example, my EditorTemplate DateTime.ascx needs files anytimec.js and anytimec.css. That template is applied whenever I use either the EditorFor or EditorForModel helper methods in a view for a model with a DateTime type value. I've put this condition into the <head> section of my master page.   I'm trying to reading part of HTML source code from website that has been encapsulated by javascript;basically i'm trying to read email which appears in webview but not in real source code using NSString method of 'NSString stringWithContentsOfURL:(NSURL *)url'. it looks like code showing up before hitting up the inner java script (which executes and shows the email address to show). are there any way i can get into NSString the contents that I viewed over UIWebview? I tried to use the method 'webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString' it worked for only displaying through webview browser didn't return any string value. Are there anyway I can get the string?

  This is what I think of REST architecture. For every resource, there is an unique URI. We can manipulate that object using its URI and HTTP actions [POST, GET, PUT and DELETE]. The HTTP request transfers the representation of the state of that object. In all the texts I have read, REST is explained in a weird and confusing manner. One more thing, RESTFUL implementation in rails produces different urls for different purposes. Like /teams - for 'index' method... /teams/new - for 'new' method and so on. Ain't this moving away from rest, which defines that each resource has one unique URI???

• Calling UITableViews delegate methods directly.

  Hi I was looking for a way to call the edit method directly. - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)theTableView commitEditingStyle:(UITableViewCellEditingStyle)editingStyle forRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath I have all my logic for animating manipulated cells, removing from my model array etc. in this method. It is getting called when a user swipes, adds or rearranges, but I would like to call it manually/directly as a background thread changes my model. I have constructed an NSIndexPath like so: NSIndexPath *path = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:i inSection:1]; I just can't figure out how to call something like: [self.tableview commitEditingStyle:UITableViewCellEditingStyleDelete forRowAtIndexPath:path]; Do I need to gain access to the methods of this plain style UITableView in another way? • How to get parent node in Stanford's JavaNLP?

  Hello. Suppose I have such chunk of a sentence: (NP (NP (DT A) (JJ single) (NN page)) (PP (IN in) (NP (DT a) (NN wiki) (NN website)))) At a certain moment of time I have a reference to (JJ single) and I want to get the NP node binding A single page. If I get it right, that NP is the parent of the node, A and page are its siblings and it has no children (?). When I try to use the .parent() method of a tree, I always get null. The API says that's because the implementation doesn't know how to determine the parent node. Another method of interest is .ancestor(int height, Tree root), but I don't know how to get the root of the node. In both cases, since the parser knows how to indent and group trees, it must know the "parent" tree, right? How can I get it? Thanks

In functional programming language,this is easy , I don't know how java do this? Maybe could be done through dynamic proxy, does that have a performance trade off?

• Javascript to PHP, mysql uploading, one button pressing solution

  my program is generating buttons from a mysql database.When one of the button is pressed, it would uplod the current time and the gps coordinate. Sadly, it only works if the same button is pressed twice, but its not an option, because the button has to dissappear. • Shutting down a WPF application from App.xaml.cs

  I am currently writing a WPF application which does command-line argument handling in App.xaml.cs (which is necessary because the Startup event seems to be the recommended way of getting at those arguments). Based on the arguments I want to exit the program at that point already which, as far as I know, should be done in WPF with Application.Current.Shutdown() or in this case (as I am in the current application object) probably also just this.Shutdown(). The only problem is that this doesn't seem to work right. I've stepped through with the debugger and code after the Shutdown() line still gets executed which leads to errors afterwards in the method, since I expected the application not to live that long. Also the main window (declared in the StartupUri attribute in XAML) still gets loaded. I've checked the documentation of that method and found nothing in the remarks that tell me that I shouldn't use it during Application.Startup or Application at all. So, what is the right way to exit the program at that point, i. e. the Startup event handler in an Application object?
