  • Python - Submit Information on a Website to Extract Data from Resulting Page

    - by bloodstorm17
So I am trying to figure out how to post on a website that uses a drop down menu which is holding the values like this (based on the page source): <td valign="top" align="right"><span class="emphasis">Select Item Option : </span></td> <td align="left"> <span class="notranslate"> <select name="ItemOption1"> <option value="">Select Item Option</option> <option value="321_cba">Item Option 1</option> <option value="123_abcd">Item Option 2</option> ... Now there are two of these drop down menus on top of each other. I want to be able to select an item from drop down menu 1 and drop down menu 2 and then submit the page. Now based on the code it submits the information using the following code: <td colspan="2" align="center"> <input type="submit" value="View Result" onclick="return check()"> </td> </tr> </table> <input type="hidden" name="ItemOption1" value=""> <input type="hidden" name="ItemOption2" value=""> I have no idea how to select the items in the drop down menu and then submit the page and capture the information on the resulting page into a text file. Can someone please help me with this?

  • How to resize & move css divisions at same time?

    - by achievelimitless
I have a division in which i'll be having dynamic numbers of colorful blocks(that too divisions) at various instances. On clicking the box, i want them to expand & cover whole screen. the problem is, while boxes are expanding, they are expanding at there own position & not shifting in the screen.. I used: .elemented1 { width: 100%; height: 80%; -webkit-animation: elemen1 0.3s; border: 0px; } @-webkit-keyframes elemen1 { from { width: 49.6%; height: 39.6%; } to { width: 100%; height: 80%; } } This is working fine but i have to put blocks dynamically. I cant write animations for individual blocks as they will be of different sizes.

    - by user1876032
Okay so have a database that uses the time functions for a list of events and then displays the data as: echo "<b>Time Frame:"; echo "$time_start"; echo "&nbsp;-&nbsp;"; echo "$time_end"; Although that displays the time as 11:00:00 if i want the time to be 11:00 am. Is there anyway to make this time display as a standard "11:00"? and also if in the mysql datababse enter it as military time (ex. 13:00) to make it display 1:00pm? I have tried many things. • Height:100% is not considered

    - by Ivan90
Hi guys, I would want to simulate the behavior of a table with div. I have a struct of my layout divide into three columns: div#wrapper { width:800px; float:left; height:100%; margin-top:7px; text-align:center; } div#left { width:167px; float:left; padding-bottom:50px; margin-right:3px; } div#main { width:454px; float:left; } div#right { width:167px; float:left; margin-left:3px; } wrapper is the container of three columns left, main, right div "main" have a variable content so in some case is more long and in other case is very short. When the content vary, div wrapper is adapted and it's ok but left and right columns don't adapt to wrapper. P.S Without doctype there is no problem, infact I set the height of left, main and right to 100% but when I insert transional.dtd , the height of div is not considered. How can resolve this problem? Sorry for my english!!

  • Rough Animation

    - by nate8684
Anyone know why the animation is rough (doesn't really animate) on this bit of jquery? $('.close').click(function() { $('.hidden-content').fadeOut('fast', function (){ $('.serv-button').fadeIn('fast'); }); }); Basically when you click on the close button a ".hidden-content" should fade out and the "serv-button"'s should fade in. But instead they just appear and do no fade. Here is my working example, it's on the services section: http://www.hdesignonline.com/qdup/ Basically I need the content to fade out exactly how it fades in...

  • two div boxes [1st float, 2nd clear], margin on 2nd doesn't seem to push off first

    - by mach77
    In the code below I have two div boxes. The first is float:left, the second has clear:left so that it sits below the first. My question is why does margin-top:20px not push off the first div? <head> <style> div { width:100px; height:100px; background-color:green; } #box1 { float:left; } #box2 { background-color:red; clear:left; margin-top:20px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="box1"></div> <div id="box2"></div> </body>

  • hide iframe scrollbars

    - by Jams Medalla
I'm trying to have scrolls on an iframe without the scrollbars showing up. I've tried so many codes, I've tried this too, I don't know if I just mess up but my mind is really all over the place trying to figure this out. I've tried overflow:hidden but that just disables the scrolling of the page. I'd still want the texts to scroll without showing the scroll bars. I need help I've been trying to figure this out for days

  • CSS center page on screen

    - by Kostronor
//sorry for the bad formating, i am on my phone... When someone asks how to center a page, then the response is like: margin-left:50%; left:(-1/2 width); I used this code on a site with a width of 1000px,so it comes to screens, where this site does not fit. Now the site gets centered on the smaller screen and gets equaly pushet to left and right. So lets say, our screen is 600px wide: 200px are left 600px are on screen 200px are right You can scroll to the right, but the pixels on the left are unreachable... How can i solve this to control, how much of my site gets dragged to the left in case of smaller screens? This is especially important for mobile phones...

  • Floating toolbar on bottom, centered, 80% of current screen width

    - by Tom
I'm trying to implement a Facebook like toolbar on the bottom of the screen for a website I'm currently working on. Currently, I have it 100% of the width of the screen but I'd like to have it look almost exactly like Facebook's toolbar, centered, bottom justified on top, around 80% of the current screen's width. Here is the current CSS for the toolbar I have that is 100% of the screen's width. Thanks in advance. CSS: <style type="text/css"> #toolbar { background:url('/_assets/img/toolbar.gif') repeat-x; height:25px; position:fixed; bottom:0px; width:100%; left:0px; border-left:1px solid #000000; border-right:1px solid #000000; z-index:100; font-size:0.8em; } </style>

What's the best way to make an element of 100% minimum height across a wide range of browsers ? In particular if you have a layout with a header and footer of fixed height how do you make the middle content part fill 100% of the space in between with the footer fixed to the bottom ?

  • 100% height table resets scroll offset

    - by koko
Hi, this is more like a question of principle. I made a table with 100% width and height to make 3 rows nice and auto-resizable (welcome to xhtml :D). When I begin to toggle() some elements, the total size of the page changes, and my browser resets its scroll offset and scrolls all the way to the top of the page. Is there some way to prevent scrolling, except making a JS function to calculate the scroll offset and make it jump to its previous offset? I don´t want to mess around with 3 divs, trying to align them automatically in their height.

  • Do static / relative divs accept height in %

    - by Crimson
I have a div which needs to be positioned statically / relatively. When it has both height and width defined in %, the browser (FF) ignores the height set and renders a very small div. However, when I set the height in px (approximately same calculated value), it works smoothly. The width defined in % works perfectly. I need the height to be defined in % as well - due to resolution / scaling issues.

  • How do I get the line of a javascript error in a Chrome Web Developer stack trace?

    - by David Faux
Using Chrome Web Developer, I am analyzing a complex web page linking many javascript files. Web Developer console notes that there is a bug in the javascript. I click on the bug notice in the console, which leads me to a line in a javascript file that I have no control over and did not code. However, I want to trace this error to a line of javascript that I did write in a different file. How do I do that?

  • What is the best Apache, PHP setup for a Mac developer? [on hold]

    - by hevets
I'm a Web Developer who has just made the switch over to Mac. Despite all that I know and love about the Windows environment I find myself in a new mysterious place. My question: what is the best Apache, PHP setup for a Mac developer? On Windows I've been using WAMP which was quite nice, I know Mac comes shipped with Apache 2 and PHP pre-installed. I'm just wondering if there is a better solution out there.
