  • No Drivers in Ubuntu 9.10

    I have a Lenovo G550 and I installed Ubuntu on it through Windows and I have no drivers. No sound, no wireless. I previously had installed it through Windows Vista with no problems at all. I now run Windows 7 and cannot seem to get it to function properly. I tried installing the recommended drivers to make sure the proper ones were installed and that still did nothing. Any one have ANY idea what could be happening? I just don't feel like dealing with it.

By now I can see only two ways: Flickr - there are groups but you have to approve group membership anyway, or use tags for grouping which is bad for maintenance Custom server solution which will cost efforts and hosting Can you suggest other free photo services with geotags functionality, or opensource solutions?     I am trying to use the Sunlight API gem with a Rails project. I have installed the gem and can successfully use it from irb. However, when I put the require statement (require 'sunlight') in sunlight.rb in config/initializers, I get the following error: /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-3.0.0.beta3/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:209:in `require': no such file to load -- sunlight (LoadError) I checked the permissions on the gems directory, and it is world readable/executable.   • HP Pavilion dv3 volume control display driver on Windows 7

    I've recently bought an HP Pavilion dv3-2150ep and I'm having a hard time getting the volume control display to work as expected. The control is a back-lit touch-sensitive bar above the keyboard. Now the buttons to turn the volume up and down actually do it, but the lightning is not changing at all. The mute button does change color when toggled. I'm not sure if I'm missing any drivers here (I've installed all of those on the HP support page that seem to have something to do with sound and/or display) or if I have to activate this somewhere. Any ideas?

    Hi, I have done changes in registry (proxy settings) via Windows programming code. I have to restart (reopen) Internet Explorer each time I run the code to make those changes take effect.   • Motherboard or Processor Problem

    My computer is broken, but I'm having trouble narrowing down the issue. I replaced the power supply, because I assumed that was the issue, but it has the same problem. The issue started with my computer starting the fans and running, but it didn't get to the BIOS screen for about 10 seconds. Now it refuses to do anything when the power button is pressed, except when I turn off the machine and take the processor out for 10-20 seconds, then put it back in, I came hit the power button immediately, and the fans start for 1/2 second, and quit. Does this sound like a is a processor or motherboard issue? I removed all components, so I know that the issue is with one of these two things.

  • Redirect audio from laptop to desktop over LAN

    I want to be able to play a song on my laptop and have it sound through my desktop's (infinitely better) speakers. If you're familiar with Input Director: I want something that is to audio what Input Director is to mouse/keyboard. I want something that automatically redirects all audio from the laptop to the desktop in real time, and I want that solution to require, like Input Director, minimum maintenance. Beyond the initial setup, I don't want to have to babysit the program that does this. I want something that launches automatically with Windows and just works, and also allows me to cancel it whenever I want. And also doesn't go crazy when the laptop is turned on in a different network where the desktop computer isn't available. Any suggestions for such a program? (I use Windows XP on both computers.)

The content of this page is only the name as i said...no html tags! Thank you!

  • Why do I get so many errors building my Android project with Ant?

    Now that I sort of know my way around the SDK/API, I've switched from Eclipse back to my favorite text editor, which means I have to use ant to build my project, however: It seems every other time I compile the project, a lot of drawables get corrupted, resources lose their ids (resulting in NPEs in the code), or classes throw "Verify Errors". The only way to fix this is by removing the bin and gen folders, and recompiling, which is obviously annoying. Is there any way to avoid this? btw, I'm using ant 1.7.1, java version "1.6.0_20"

    I have a RestFull grails api that i expose through grails Controller. I need to automatically bind the xml data sent in a POST request. I don't think using groovy bindData(object,params) works as the params reference seems not having the xml elements. i use the parseRequest=true in the UrlMappings but yet the params Object does'nt have the xml elements. am i missing some other config so that my params object get automatically populated with the xml body elements?
