    Given a list of words which contains the letters a-z at least once, how would you write a program to find the shortest pangram counted by number of characters (not counting spaces) as a combination of the words? Since I am not sure whether short answers exist, this is not code golf, but rather just a discussion of how you would approach this. However, if you think you can manage to write a short program that would do this, then go ahead, and this might turn into code golf :)

    Type mismatch. Expecting a LexBuffer but given a LexBuffer The type 'char' does not match the type 'byte' This is the error message that I am getting while using fslex. I have tried manually checking every single occurrence of lexbuf and its type. It's LexBuffer everywhere. But still the compiler is giving me the above error. What was the project that changed your skill-level from noob to "coder" the most? Maybe I can take some tips and work on something similar? Also, is there a way to ensure the order of each dictionary key stays constant, e.g., always title, title_url, then id? Thank you.

  • Ruby 1.9 Ramaze App Failing with "Illegal instruction"

    I've got an app that I'm trying to get working again after wiping my system and installing Snow Leopard. I installed Ruby 1.9 from Macports (now a later version) and the dev server starts up just fine, but then dies on the first request, only telling me "Illegal instruction". I have no idea what's causing this or even how to go about debugging it. Does anyone have any ideas?

    I know this isn't (exactly) code related. But I just wanted to find out if someone knows where I can download the full version of Visual C# 2010 Express ? When you go to MS website you can download an exe. That then downloads the rest of the files. I have an offline pc, so I want to download it from a PC that is online, put it on a flash disc, and install it on the offline PC. Anyone that can point me in the right direction?
