• Confluence or apache on win server 2008 cant find scripts and images :(

  I am a newbie to both Tomcat and Apache. I have set the virtual hosts as described in Here. And JIRA works fine when i browse the URL jira.agmlab.com. However when i try to access Confluence(3.4.5) with confluence.agmlab.com the pages come in plain html, i can login and browse pages but there is no css or js so that my confluence pages look very ugly. what can possibly cause this and how to fix this? here is my virtual hosts definitions : # # Virtual Hosts # # If you want to maintain multiple domains/hostnames on your # machine you can setup VirtualHost containers for them. Can it be something related with the permissions defined in Win Server 2008 ? maybe there is not enough rights (such as read execute ) in some users, directories ??

A little background: I use PowerShell on windows xp at work and I set a bunch of useful shortcuts in Microsoft.PowerShell_profile.ps1 in My Documents, trying to emulate Mac environment inspired by Ryan Bates's shortcuts I have things like: Set-Alias rsc Rails-Console function Rails-Console {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/console"} Which works just fine when in command prompt I say: rsc #it calls the proper command However this doesn't work properly Set-Alias rsg Rails-Generate function Rails-Generate {Invoke-Expression "ruby script/generate"} So when I do : rsg model User which is supposed to call ruby script/generate model User all it calls is ruby script/generate #Dumping my params So how would I properly modify my functions to take params I send to functions? • Can you review my Perl rewrite of Cucumber?

  There is a team working on acceptance testing X11 GUI application in our company, and they created a monstrous acceptance testing framework that drives the GUI as well as running scenarios. The framework is written using Perl 5, and scenario files look more like very complex Perl programs (thousands of lines long with procedural-programming style) than acceptance tests. I recently learned Ruby's Cucumber, and generally have been using Ruby for quite a lot of time. But unfortunately I can't just shove Ruby to replace Perl because the people who are writing all of this don't know Ruby and it's quite certain that they wont want "this" kind of interruption. So to bring Ruby's Cucumber a bit closer to their work, I rewrote it using Perl 5. Unfortunately I am really not a Perl programmer, and would love to get a code review and to hear suggestions from people who both know Perl and Cucumber. But I'm not clear what exactly to do? I've looked at ActiveResource (http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveResource/Base.html) and rest-client, but I'm still not clear exactly what steps, code, and files to create. • In Rails: How can I turn off caching for a particular activerecord database table?

  I have an associative table (scripts_runs) (has_many, through) that carries a status column ('started', 'ready to parse', 'completed' ). The started and ready to parse states are signaled by 'flag' files from distributed executions of the scripts pickedup periodically (20 seconds). The completed status is written directly to the associative table by the parser when it is done. With short scripts the complete status is written before the ready to parse flag file is picked up. Because the row from the table is cached, the complete status is not seen by the observer for the flag files and gets overwritten by the ready to parse status. This is not good. I need the status to be updated in the database in the correct sequence so an Ajax periodic query can inform the user of the status of each script and when the run ( consisting of one to many scripts ) is completed. Can I force the ScriptRun.find(:id) to always go to the database? If so how? If not, why not???

  I wonder how the following closure test can be written in other languages, such as C and Java. Can the same result be expected also in Perl, Python, and PHP? Ideally, we don't need to make a new local variable such as x and assign it the value of i inside the loop, but just so that i has a new copy in the new scope each time. (if possible). • GitLab on a fresh Ubuntu 13 EC2 instance

  I've spun up a fresh Amazon EC2 instance for a micro Ubuntu 13 server to be used as a GitLab server. I know the specs are a little low, but it should serve well for my purposes. It has an elastic (static) IP address that I have created an A record for git.mydomain.com. The first thing I did to the instance was add 1GB of swap to keep it happy from a memory perspective. I then set the hostname of the box to be git.mydomain.com and followed https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlabhq/blob/6-2-stable/doc/install/installation.md to the letter. Everything seems to have worked, except for the web server side of things. Doing a gitlab:check shows the following: Checking Environment ... Finished It seems like I'm very nearly there. Searching on this error I have only found advice that unfortunately hasn't helped. I'm not using any kind of SSL setup, which a lot of the posts I found were about. I have tried appending 127.0.0.1 git.mydomain.com to /etc/hosts and giving the instance a reboot but there was no change. My config/gitlab.yml file has host: git.mydomain.com in it, and my gitlab-shell/config.yml has gitlab_url: "http://git.mydomain.com/" in it. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I've been through every relevant link I can find and have had no positive results; thank you in advance for any help!

  I cannot install capybara-webkit 0.8.0. I installed QT and added C:\Qt\4.7.4\bin\ to my PATH.   Warning: I may have the wrong 'problem statement' but here it goes: A Campaign has many Contacts. A Campaign has many Emails. Therefore, a Contact has many Emails through a Campaign. And an Email can have many Contacts through a Campaign. Each Contact-Email pair has its own unique Status (status1, status2, etc). Each Status (for a Contact-Email pair) will have its own User. I do not know how to model Status, or User. Currently the immediate challenge is Status. (see diagram below)

• string concatenation in Groovy seems unconvenient

Is there a way I can put statements that will eval inside a string or must I use complete variables names?
