  • Maven2 not compiling source

    Hi, I am new to Maven2 and have been having an issue with the compiling of the source for a RAR. Maven currently copies all the information located at my sourceDirectory instead of compiling it even though the console states that the source is being compiled. If I navigate to the sourceDirectory I find all my source files with no compiled class files. I have tried changing my outputDirectory to a different location and when I inspect this directory I find that it only copied my source files instead of compiling them. I have added an example of my POM.     I'd like to implement the group by features for the default grid as it's available for the commercial grid like devexpress/infragistics et al, if you want a sample, see the 2nd image on http://www.devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/WinForms/Grid/dataoperations.xml I'd think there's some pattern or better yet some opensource/free grid which does this already, if not, i would probably implement it if i can find the time (doubtful ! and esp since it's available so easily in most packages, if only i can convince the client to pay for a license ) & want to get some ideas/patterns on the same

  • Getting an error on a webservice call from C#

    i am calling a java webservice from C#. i generate the wdsl proxy through visual studio which works fine and i see the methods. etc. I have one issue where i get this error in one of the requests: org.xml.sax.SAXException: No object was found for class type class com.ml.ets.ease.analytics.soap.Request does anyone have any idea why i might be getting this error.

  • How do I create a Spring 3 + Tiles 2 webapp using REST-ful URLs?

    I'm having a heck of a time resolving URLs with Spring 3.0 MVC. I'm just building a HelloWorld to try out how to build a RESTful webapp in Spring, nothing theoretically complicated. All of the examples I've been able to find are based on configurations that pay attention to file extensions ("*.htm" or "*.do"), include an artificial directory name prefix ("/foo") or even prefix paths with a dot (ugly), all approaches that use some artificial regex pattern as a signal to the resolver. For a REST approach I want to avoid all that muck and use only the natural URL patterns of my application. I would assume (perhaps incorrectly) that in web.xml I'd set a url-pattern of "/*" and pass everything to the DispatcherServlet for resolution, then just rely on URL patterns in my controller. I can't reliably get my resolver(s) to catch the URL patterns, and in all my trials this results in a resource not found error, a stack overflow (loop), or some kind of opaque Spring 3 ServletException stack trace — one of my ongoing frustrations with Spring generally is that the error messages are not often very helpful. I want to work with a Tiles 2 resolver. I've located my *.jsp files in WEB-INF/views/ and have a single line index.jsp file at the application root redirecting to the index file set by my layout.xml (the Tiles 2 Configurer). I do all the normal Spring 3 high-level configuration: <mvc:annotation-driven /> <mvc:view-controller path="/" view-name="index"/> <context:component-scan base-package="com.acme.web.controller" /> ...followed by all sorts of combinations and configurations of UrlBasedViewResolver, InternalResourceViewResolver, UrlFilenameViewController, etc. with all manner of variantions in my Tiles 2 configuration file. Then in my controller I've trying to pick up my URL patterns. Problem is, I can't reliably even get the resolver(s) to catch the patterns to send to my controller. This has now stretched to multiple days with no real progress on something I thought would be very simple to implement. I'm perhaps trying to do too much at once, though I would think this should be a simple (almost a default) configuration. I'm just trying to create a simple HelloWorld-type application, I wouldn't expect this is rocket science. Rather than me post my own configurations (which have ranged all over the map), does anyone know of an online example that: shows a simple Spring 3 MVC + Tiles 2 web application that uses REST-ful URLs (i.e., avoiding forced URL patterns such as file extensions, added directory names or dots) and relies solely on Spring 3 code/annotations (i.e., nothing outside of Spring MVC itself) to accomplish this? Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks very much for any help.

  • Android pluginable application

    I've been trying to create an android-application the last couple of weeks, and mostly everything has worked out great, but there is one thing that I was wondering about, and that is pluginability trough the use of intents. What I'm trying to create is basically a comic-reader. As of the version I use now, I open the application and get a list of commics that are my favourites, then I enter one to get a detailed view, and finally I enter a page. This is managed trough 3 activities. List, Details and Page. However, as of now the application can only read comics of one source (a specialiced xml-feed comming from my server), and I was hoping to be able to expand this a litle (also, the page-activity and some other stuff needs to be cleaned up in, so I'm thinking about remaking from scratch, and just take the first go as a learning-round). And I came up with an idea which I think sounds great, but I don't know if it's possible, but this is what I'm thinking about: The user enters the application and get an (first time empty) list of comics. The user hits a button to find comics, this launces an intent that says something like "find comic" or something like that. This should cause the system to display all matching activities. This would make it possible to provide different comic-providers trough different applications. Another activity kicks in and might displays some options to the user (for instance a file-browser), or might not (in the example of an xml-feed, which should just load). The list is returned to the first activity and displayed to the user. The second (find) activity is closed. The user picks a comic from the list. This should open some details-activity. The details-activity should receive a key which corresponds to the comic selected. This should be unique amongst the comic-providers. The details-view should get it's data trough some cind of content-provider, or an activity (whichever is most suited, if one of them is). The user can select a page. This should be the same routine as step 5. My question is, is this possible in the android system, and if it is, is it a bad idea? And also, is there any better way to achieve more or less the same thing?

    In a jboss service I need to mock some inner class (not EJB) with JMockit. Just for tests I've created inner class ToBeMocked and another one Mock. While deploying to jboss I get error NoClassDefFoundError in line: Mockit.setUpMock(ToBeMocked.class, new Mock()); with message: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: mockit/Mockit jmockit.jar is added to the classpath in jboss_service.xml. Any ideas?

    Hello, I have a test class that has a @Resource annotation for a setter and I need to make it Java 1.4 compliant, so obviously the annotation has to go. I'm using Spring. So, how would I replace something like @Resource("my.resource") so that the setter gets the correct dependency injection? Would I need to make a bean in an xml file? I'm pretty new to this so if I'm not providing enough information, let me know.

    I have a document based on a xml structure that I have stored in a CouchDB database. Some of the keys contains namespaces and are on the form "namespace:key": {"mykey":{nested:key":"nested value"}} In the map function, I want to emit the nested value as a key, but the colon inside the name makes it hard... emit(doc.mykey.nested:key, doc) <-- will not work. Does anyone know how this can be solved?

    Consider the following scenario: I want to bind the TextElement.FontWeight property to an xml attribute. The xml looks somewhat like this and has arbitrary depth. <text font-weight="bold"> bold text here <inlinetext>more bold text</inlinetext> even more bold text </text> I use hierarchical templating to display the text, no problem there, but having a Setter in the template style like: <Setter Property="TextElement.FontWeight" Value="{Binding XPath=@font-weight}"/> sets the fontweight correctly on the first level, but overwrites the second level with null (as the binding can't find the xpath) which reverts to Fontweight normal. I tried all sorts of things here but nothing quite seems to work. e.g. i used a converter to return UnsetValue, which didn't work. One great example of what I am thinking of doing is what Google Android sdk does: they have an R class generated automatically from the resources. Every time a resource file is saved in Eclipse R class is automatically regenerated. Thanks!

  • Maven won't use public key to deploy

    I'm using SSH to deploy my Java artifacts to a server. I have the keys set up so that I can interactively SSH to the server without requiring a password, but when I try to run the "mvn deploy" or "mvn release:perform" commands, it hangs (at what I assume is the password prompt). My ~/.m2/settings.xml file contains the username for the server (because it is different than my local username) and references the id of the server that requires the different user.

    assumbe ie is still the dominate web browser, the XMLHttpRequest.responseText or XMLHttpRequest.responseXML in ie desire txt or xml/xhtml/html,but what about the server response the xmlHttprequest whith MIME TYPE octact/binary? would the response string all littele than 256 ?(every char of that string < 256), thanks very much for a straight answer, i have no webserver env,so i don't know how to test it out.
