  • Can't add ADO.NET Entity Model because of error

    I am using VS 2010 Express.This error appear "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM compenent" When i try to Add ADO.NET Entity Data Model. VS 2008 PRO is installed on my pc too but i don't think that it is caused by VS 2008 .I tried to reinstall VS 2010 Express but still same. How can i fix it ?

  • Total stack sizes of threads in one process

    I use pthreads_attr_getthreadsizes() to get default stack size of one thread, 8MB on my machine. But when I create 8 threads and allocate a very large stack size to them, say hundreds of MB, the program crash. So, I guess, shall ("Number of threads" x "stack size of per thread") shall less than a value(virtual memory size)?

I am building facial recognition software for a certain purpose, however, as a spin-off i would like to use that same software / concept, to automatically recognize me when i sit in front of the PC, and log me in. recognition is handled.. however, i need to incorporate this into windows, the same way fingerprint logins work. where can i go to get some more info on the doing this?

    Hi folks, I'm trying to run an app from a remote X session (Ubuntu, 9.04) on a handheld device powered by Windows Mobile. I want to do this by running an X-server of some description on the mobile device and using SSH/PocketPuTTY or similar for a tunnel, as you'd do it on a standard PC/Mac.     I just setup an out of the box "W2K8 R2 Web" server and installed IIS 7 out of the box. Then I installed the .NET4 framework and ran "aspnet_regiis -i" command. I created a site using .NET 4.0 Integrated app pool. I created an MVC application using the default MVC project template, without modifying I compiled the project and deploy the files using (Publish) to the virtual directory. I can pull the site up, but the styles are missing from the page and for some reason it routing to the /Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=/

But the same app works fine at another PC(with different user login), and I found it is using NTLM by checking the IIS server event log. is there anyway we can change the client app(winform) authentication type?   • Does Google App Engine support ftp ?

    Now I use my own Java FTP program to ftp objects from my PC to my ISP's website server. I want to use Google App Engine's servlet to get Paypal IPN messages, then store the messages into my own objects and ftp the objects to my ISP's website server, is this doable ? I heard Google App Engine doesn't support FTP. I don't expect Google to do it for me, but can I use my own Java FTP program in the web app that I upload onto the App Engine to do it ? Frank

    Im trying to host a WCF service on IIS.I created a virtual directory,set application pool to v.4.0 framework,set the pysichal path to the application path. And when try to run the service i get follow error: "Could not load file or assembly 'ingdnp.dll' or one of its dependencies." Does anyone what is that DLL?I couldnt find anything on google. UPDATE: I need to register DLL in GAC (Global Assembly Cache). THK All
