  I'm trying to use a custom compare method (for use with sortedArrayusingSelector) and on another website I got that the format is: -(NSComparisonResult) orderByName:(id)otherobject { That's all bery well and good except how do I compare the otherObject to anything as there's only one thing passed to the method? Like how does the NSString method of compare: compare 2 strings when only one string is passed?

  this may be more appropriate for math overflow, but nevertheless: Given 3d structure (for example molecule), what is a good approach/algorithm to find symmetry (rotational/reflection/inversion/etc.)? I came up with brute force naive algorithm, but it seems there should be better approach. I am not so much interested in genetic algorithms as I would like best symmetry rather then almost the best symmetry link to website/paper would be great. thanks

  Afternoon, Bit of a tricky question this one, I have a website and need to translate the pages into french, I am using google translate API to do the translation. What I am doing is loading in the HTML templates into a string using PHP and then need to translate the text copy on the pages and then save as for example: fr_master_header.html de_master_header.html The problem I have is identifying the text copy on the page ignoring the HTML, replacing the copy in the extact place and then saving the file with the HTML tags and trasnlated text copy.   About a month ago I saw a portfolio website in Flash that featured a stack of cards, and each time you clicked on it, they sort of blew all over the place, thus exposing the backs as videos and pictures. Although I could easily take a bunch of 3D planes and tween them to turn and flip, these cards actually seemed to 'bend'. How is this effect achieved? Sorry I don't have the link to the example.   I'm using the jQuery Fancybox plugin to display some content on a website. Unfortunately, when a link is clicked, the lightbox that is loaded starts at the same scroll position as the previous one. I tried using self.scrollTo(0,0) $.scrollTo(0) $('#top').scrollTo(); and a few others methods to push it back to the top, but none have seemed to work. Any help on this?

• django i18n and translations problem

  Hello I have a problem with django translations. Problem 1 - i updated string in django.po file, but the change does not appear on the webpage. Problem 2 - i have created my own locale file with django-admin.py makemessages -l et, added the translation string into file, but they too do not appear on the page. I do not think this is setting problem, because the translations from django.po file do appear on the website, its just the changes and the translations from my own generated file that do not appear. • Can you force PayPal Payments Standard API to show credit card fields first?

  I'm using PayPal Website Payments Standard. Whenever the user lands on PayPal with the variables I sent, it shows a PayPal Login form and at the bottom it shows "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available)." I want it to default to always ask for credit card and maybe say "Have PayPal? Use that!". Any ideas?
