  • CSS Extra Small Spacing

    http://www.dougymak.com/cnit133/hw8.part4.html So if you look at the tabs and look at hw2, you'll notice it has a little extra spacing that overlaps the spacing on the right. That's because wrapped the div in the <li>. You will notice the others not having it. I don't understand why is it making that extra little spacing after I wrap it. Just for the record, this is for CSS spacing which has nothing to do with the JS.

    The following .htaccess file does not work: SSLrequireSSL RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^secure\.neuralfutures\.com [NC] RewriteRule (.*) - [F] I'm trying to prevent access to anything but "https://secure.neuralfutures.com/docs/", i.e. "https://www.neuralfutures.com/docs/" will fail. I also seem to be running into caching issues: if I upload the new .htaccess with CuteFTP, then do a file refresh in FireFox, it doesn't seem to have any effect on the output at all. I can tell this because if I comment out SSLrequireSSL, it still disallows a http:// request.

The closest thing I have found to a document on how to do this is: http://www.agilejournal.com/pdf/Finding-ROI-in-Build-Automation.pdf There are formulas in this document, but I can't really tell if they are just alot of marketing or if they are accurate formulas on how to calculate ROI. I'm not really trying to calculate the ROI of the build tool in the above paper, I was just trying to calculate the ROI of a simple build tool like ANT.

  • Pound symbol not displaying on web page

    Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol.     I'm working on a web application that uses ASP.NET 3.5 and C#. Structurally, I have a master page with a menu control on it. The control serves as my navigation, and it gets its items from a SiteMapDataSource control and a corresponding Web.sitemap file. The problem is that some styles do not render properly when you specify the CssClass property. More specifically, the selected and hover styles don't respond to css styles. Odd. Does anybody have any insight into what is causing this problem and how to neatly work around it? I'm aware I might be able to programmically determine the current page and select the corresponding menu item manually so it receives the proper style class, but before I resort to hacking C# and Javascript together to fix this functionality, I'm open to ideas.

    Hello, are all "Standard Compliant (HTTP RFC?)" Web-Servers forced to "somehow" provide some methods to get all Parameters with the same name as some kind of list/array? Or will will using the same parameter name lead to overwriting: Example: http://www.stackoverflow?myparam=value1&myparam=value2 Will this lead to myparam holding the values "value1,value2" or only "value2" (due to overwriting and only using the last one). Is this behaviour mandated by some standard? thanks bernhard
