• Only 1080p youtube videos work properly

  I have Ubuntu 12.04 64bit installed/full updated and have noticed that I can only play 1080p youtube videos properly on full screen. All other resolutions, 480, 720, 1440 etc do not go into full screen properly. Please have a look at the attached images. You will notice that only the 1080p video has the video control bar right at the bottom with a respectable text size. All other videos don't have the video control bar right at the bottom on the screen, and the control bar text is too small. I've had this problem for ages, but finally decided to ask about it. 480p: Notice the bottom control bar, it's not at the bottom on the screen and the video has borders on the sides: 720p: Notice the bottom control bar, it's not at the bottom on the screen and the video has borders on the sides and the text is tiny: 1080p: This is the only one that works as expected, i.e. controls right at the bottom, and good font size and no borders on the sides: 1440p: Notice the bottom control bar, it's not at the bottom on the screen and the video has borders on the sides: How do I correct this problem so I can play all different video resolutions at full screen. • Textures quality issues with Libgdx

  I have drawn several vector objets and characters ( in Adobe Illustrator ) for my game on Android. They are all scalable at any size without any quality losses ( of course it's vector ^^ ). I have tried to simulate my gameboard directly on Illustrator just before setting my assests on libdgx to implement them in my game. I set all the objects at the good size, so that they fit perfectly on my XHDPI device I am running my test on. As you can see it works great ( for me at least ^^ ), the PNG quality is good for me, as expected ! So I have edited all my PNG at this size, set my assets on libgdx and build my game apk. And here is a screenshot of my gameboard ( don't pay attention at the differences of placing and objects, but check at the objets presents on both screenshot ). As you can see, I have a loss of my PNG quality in the game. It can be seen clealry on the hedgehog PNG, but also ( but not as obvious ) on the mushroom ( check at the outline ) and the hole PNG. If you really pay attention, on every objects, you can see pixels that are not visible on my first screenshot. And I just can't figure out why this is happening Oo If you have any ideas, you are very welcome ! Thanks. PS : You can check more clearly the 2 gameboard on this two links ( look at them at 100%, display at high resolution ) : Good quality link, from Illustrator Poor quality link, from the game Second phase of tests : We display an object ( the hedgehog ) on our main menu screen to see how it looks like. The things is that it looks like he is suppose to, which means, high quality with no pixels. The hedgehog PNG is coming from an atlas : layer.addActor(hedgehog); No loss of quality with this method So we think the problem is comming from the method we are using to display it on our gameboard : blocks[9][3] = new Block(TextureUtils.hedgehog, new Vector2(9, 3)); the block is getting the size from the vector we are associating to it, but we have a loss of quality with this method.

• B2B communication using IBM MQ

  Oracle B2B 11g, provides the out-of-the box ability to connect to IBM MQ to exchange the message. This is support is provided via JMS offering of Oracle B2B. This is an addition to the stack of existing communication capabilities of B2B with trading partners. There are 2 ways of connecting to IBM MQ using B2B 1. Credential based connectivity 2. .bindings based connectivity As a pre-requisite to connect to IBM MQ, it is required to provide the following libraries in classpath: a. com.ibm.mqjms.jar b. dhbcore.jar c. com.ibm.mq.jar d. com.ibm.mq.jmqi.jar e. mqcontext.jar f. com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar g. com.ibm.mq.commonservices.jar h. com.ibm.mq.headers.jar i. fscontext.jar j. jms.jar Add the above jars into domain library directory and the directory usually located at $DOMAIN_DIR/lib. The jars located in this($DOMAIN_DIR/lib) directory will be picked up and added dynamically to the end of the server classpath at server startup. Oracle Database 12c introduces a breakthrough, new multitenant architecture enabling customers to create multiple, pluggable databases for database consolidation and cloud deployments. Customers will realize greater efficiency and flexibility through innovations such as Oracle Multitenant option and Automatic Data Optimization with Heat Map, for compressing and tiering data at a higher density. These unique advancements, combined with major enhancements in availability, security, and big data support, make Oracle Database 12c the ideal platform for private and public cloud deployments. • Multiple Users Sharing Email Accounts - How to make messages "unread" for each user?

  Sorry if this isn't appropriate for webmasters stackexchange, but i'm not sure where it would go since it has to do with the logistics of setting up a website/email for a small company. I have an ecommerce store with multiple addresses such as: - [email protected] - [email protected] I'm not the only person managing the store. My partner and I both have those email accounts set up on each of our respective computers (right now it's using IMAP - he's on outlook and i'm on thunderbird). We have one major problem with this setup - If I read an email before he does, he doesn't know it ever arrived because the IMAP tells the server that the email has been "read". Of course, the same problem exists if he reads an email before I do. I understand that i can fix this problem by switching to POP3 and leaving the messages on the server. I'm okay with that... but it creates a NEW PROBLEM. If he replies to an email, it is no longer sync'd back to the server and therefore I can't read any emails that he has sent out. Same problem vice versa. This is also important for us because we want to know if one of us has already replied to an email so that the same thing isn't being done twice. With IMAP, all our sent emails are put in the Sent folder and synced to the server. What's a good way to set this up for a small company where email sharing is involved? Updated, user-oriented and business information balanced navigational categories. Say hello to the new categories: Downloads, Education and Oracle Technology Network. Oracle Partner Network navigation received a facelift too. 2. Brand new flyout based navigation - mouse over Partners for instance - providing both a high level content overview as well as shortcut links for most popular website destinations 3. Introducing audience based - I'm a... - and - I want to... - task-based navigation. Now you can navigate based on who you are or what is you want to accomplish. • Best option for PDF viewer embedded in web app

  I have a web app that needs to be able to display a PDF. It needs to allow the user to page through the PDF, and my application needs to be able to know which page is currently being viewed, because other aspects of the web app will change based on the current page. Ideally it would not be dependent on the client having Adobe Reader but I could probably support that dependency. What are my best options for this? My application stack consists of ASP.NET 4 along with optionally Silverlight 5. Also, I could use something that is client-side based as well using JavaScript / HTML if such a thing exists. I found ComponentOne's offering for this and that seems like the leading candidate at this point, but I want to know if there are other options I should consider. Edit: Per Fosco's comment, converting the PDF to another format (such as HTML) might be an option, as long as I could tie back parts of the converted document to the original PDF page #s. Another note: this has to run entirely on our servers. It would not be acceptable to use a third-party service to view the PDFs.

• UPK Basics Hands On Lab at Oracle Open World Latin America

  Orrcle Open World Latin America 2012 will be in Sao Paulo, Brazil December fourth through the sixth. There's so much to see and learn from at Oracle OpenWorld : keynotes, technical sessions, Oracle and partner demonstrations, hands-on labs, networking events, and more.  I will be presenting a hands-on lab at the show this year, Introduction to Oracle User Productivity Kit - Learn the Basics in the afternoon on Tuesday December 4th.  This nonstop one hour lab covers topics from Getting Started with UPK to the basics of creating an outline, some typical content and concluding with publishing some of the many outputs UPK is capable of.   If you are planning on attending the show, come by the lab and see what UPK is all about.  I’ll be in Sao Paulo all week to fulfill my need to extend California’s summer by another week (trip bonus) and to meet and discuss all things UPK with our customers and partners.  If you’re not registered for the show there is still time. • Success Quote: A Hybrid Approach for Success

  We recently received this quote from a project that successfully used OUM: “On our project, we applied a combination of the Oracle Unified Method (OUM) and the client's methodology. The project was organized by OUM's phases and a subset of OUM's processes, tasks, and templates. Using a hybrid of the two methods resulted in an implementation approach that was optimized for the client-specific requirements for this project." This hybrid approach is an excellent example of using OUM in the flexible and scalable manner in which it was intended. The project team was able to scale OUM to be fit-for-purpose for their given situation. It's great to see how merging what was needed out of OUM with the client’s methodology resulted in an implementation approach that more closely aligned to the business needs. Successfully scaling OUM is dependent on the needs of the particular project and/or engagement. The key is to use no more than is necessary to satisfy the requirements of the implementation and appropriately address risks.
