  • Adding a second table in a database

    - by MB
Hi everyone. I used the code provided by the NoteExample from the developers doc to create a database. Now I want to add a second table to store different data. I simply "copied" the given code, but when I try to insert into the new table I get an error saying: "0ERROR/Database(370): android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such table: routes: , while compiling: INSERT INTO routes(line, arrival, duration, start) VALUES(?, ?, ?, ?);" Can someone please take quick look at my DbAdapter class and give me a hint or a solution? I really don't see any problem. my code compiles without any errors.. thanks in advance! CODE: import static android.provider.BaseColumns._ID; import android.content.ContentValues; import android.content.Context; import android.database.Cursor; import android.database.SQLException; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabase; import android.database.sqlite.SQLiteOpenHelper; import android.util.Log; public class DbAdapter { public static final String KEY_FROM = "title"; public static final String KEY_TO = "body"; public static final String KEY_ROWID = "_id"; public static final String KEY_START = "start"; public static final String KEY_ARRIVAL = "arrival"; public static final String KEY_LINE = "line"; public static final String KEY_DURATION = "duration"; private static final String DATABASE_NAME = "data"; private static final String DATABASE_NOTESTABLE = "notes"; private static final String DATABASE_ROUTESTABLE = "routes"; private static final String TAG = "DbAdapter"; private DatabaseHelper mDbHelper; private SQLiteDatabase mDb; /** * Database creation sql statement */ private static final String DATABASE_CREATE_NOTES = "create table notes (_id integer primary key autoincrement, " + "title text not null, body text not null)"; private static final String DATABASE_CREATE_ROUTES = "create table routes (_id integer primary key autoincrement, " + "start text not null, arrival text not null, " + "line text not null, duration text not null);"; private static final int DATABASE_VERSION = 2; private final Context mCtx; private static class DatabaseHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper { DatabaseHelper(Context context) { super(context, DATABASE_NAME, null, DATABASE_VERSION); } @Override public void onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db) { db.execSQL(DATABASE_CREATE_NOTES); Log.d(TAG, "created notes table"); db.execSQL(DATABASE_CREATE_ROUTES); //CREATE LOKALTABLE db.execSQL("CREATE TABLE " + DATABASE_ROUTESTABLE + " " + "(" + _ID + " INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT, " + KEY_START + " TEXT NOT NULL, " + KEY_ARRIVAL + " TEXT NOT NULL, " + KEY_LINE + " TEXT NOT NULL, " + KEY_DURATION + " TEXT NOT NULL"); Log.d(TAG, "created routes table"); } @Override public void onUpgrade(SQLiteDatabase db, int oldVersion, int newVersion) { Log.w(TAG, "Upgrading database from version " + oldVersion + " to " + newVersion + ", which will destroy all old data"); db.execSQL("DROP TABLE IF EXISTS notes"); onCreate(db); } } /** * Constructor - takes the context to allow the database to be * opened/created * * @param ctx the Context within which to work */ public DbAdapter(Context ctx) { this.mCtx = ctx; } /** * Open the notes database. • Using Qtcreator (with Qwt), really basic stuff

    - by Dago
I'm trying to make a Qt program using Qtcreator and Qwt for plotting. I've never used Qtcreator before. I've created a mainwindow and added a Qwtplot widget there (object name: qwtPlot). The widget shows up in the program when I compile and run it. But theres no mention of the qwtPlot object anywhere in the (autogenerated) code so I assume it is being added at compile time from the .ui xml file (or something). My question is that... how do I modify/change the qwtPlot object? Or where should I place the code. I'm having a hard time articulating my question but the question basically is "How do I do anything with the qwtPlot widget which is created (graphically) with Qtcreator?". I've checked some tutorials but in the tutorials they add the widgets manually in the code, but I'd like to use Qtcreator (because my UI will be fairly complicated). This whole Qtcreator is pretty confusing...

  • In an ASP.NET Web Site Project, what is the best option to manage modular widgets

    - by Juan Sagasti
We are creating a modular Web Site Project and all the UI is based on simple html pages with javascript widgets. These widgets obtain the data from a WCF class located in the app_code folder. Each widget has 3 files [ js, css , cs] and an image directory: , and we want all these files to be located under the same directory, say: /widgets/mywidget/ The problem is that the .cs file needs to be in the app_code folder to be compiled dynamically and that would break our widget modularity forcing the installator to distribute the widget code in two places. One of the options is use compiled assemblies instead of .cs files and use Assembly.Load() or smthg similar to load them when needed. What other options do you see?

  • Google groups not finding discussion thread but regular google search does?

    - by Mathias Lin
I'm having a problem with google groups and finding my own discussion threads. I go to the google group (in my case Android developer group) web view and try to search for my thread by entering the extact title of my thread. But it doesn't appear in the search results. On the other hand, when I search for the same title in the regular google web search, I get the thread right on top of the result list. I thought it might take a while until the groups index all new threads, but still after a few days, it still wouldn't show up. Sample: My thread is here: http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/0ab41d5056a25ce7 Doing a search for it in Google groups (will give one result, but not mine): http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/search?group=android-developers&q=Strange+behaviour+with+mediaplayer+and+seekTo&qt_g=Search+this+group Search in Google web search (shows my thread as first result): http://www.google.de/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Strange+behaviour+with+mediaplayer+and+seekTo

  • Difficulty with MooTools Class.extend

    - by Erin Drummond
Consider the following code: var Widget = new Class({ Implements: [Options], options: { "name" : "BaseWidget" }, initialize: function(options) { alert("Options are: " + JSON.stringify(options)); //alerts "Options are: undefined" this.setOptions(options); alert("My options are: " + JSON.stringify(this.options)); //alerts "My options are: { 'name' : 'BaseWidget' }" }, getName: function() { return this.options.name; } }); var LayoutWidget = Widget.extend({ initialize: function() { this.parent({ "name" : "Layout" }); } }); alert(new LayoutWidget().getName()); //alerts "BaseWidget" I am having difficulty in determining why the argument passed in the "this.parent()" call in "initialize" function of LayoutWidget is coming through as "undefined" in the initialize function of Widget. I am using MooTools 1.2.2. Would somebody be able to point me in the right direction?

  • F# Extention Methods on Lists, IEnumberable, etc

    - by flevine100
I have searched StackOverflow (and other sources) for this answer, but can't seem to find anything. In C#, if I had a widget definition, say: class widget { public string PrettyName() { ... do stuff here } } and I wanted to allow for easy printing of a list of Widgets, I might do this: namespace ExtensionMethods { public static PrintAll( this IEnumerable<Widget> widgets, TextWriter writer ) { foreach(var w in widgets) { writer.WriteLine( w.PrettyName() ) } } } How would I accomplish something similar with a record type and a collection (List or Seq preferrably in F#). I'd love to have a list of Widgest and be able to call a function right on the collection that did something like this. Assume (since it's F#) that the function would not be changing the state of the collection that it's attached to, but returning some new value.

  • Getting Parent Layout in Qt

    - by Austin
    Hi, quick question. Is there any way to (easily) retrieve the parent layout of a widget in Qt? PS: QObject::parent() won't work, for logical reasons. EDIT: I'm positive the widget has a parent layout, because I added it to a layout earlier in the code. Now, I have many other layouts in the window and while it is possible for me to keep track of them, I just want to know if there is an easy and clean way to get the parent layout. EDIT2: Sorry, "easy and clean" was probably not the best way of putting. I meant using the Qt API. EDIT3: I'm adding the widget to the layout like this: QHBoxLayout* layout = new QHBoxLayout; layout-addWidget(button);

  • JavaScript / HTML highlighting / debugging in Eclipse using PhoneGap

    - by Jason Hartley
I am writing an app using PhoneGap for Android in Eclipse. Since the project is an Android project, it's in a Java perspective. For whatever reason, Eclipse won't highlight HTML and JavaScript for me while in an Android/Java project/perspective and switching to the JavaScript perspective doesn't highlight the code either. Without highlighting or debugging tools, the debug process is very slow. How do I tell Eclipse to highlight HTML and JavaScript for me while working in a Java Environment?

  • Breadcrumbs in Fusebox 4/5

    - by Jordan Reiter
I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a clean way to generate a breadcrumbs trail in Fusebox. Specifically, is there a way of keeping track of "where you are" and having that somehow generate the breadcrumbs for you? So, for example, if you're executing /index.cfm?fuseaction=Widgets.ViewWidget&widget=1 and the circuit structure is something like /foo/bar/widgets/ then somehow the system automatically creates an array like: [ { title: 'Foo', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Foo.Main' }, { title: 'Bar', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Bar.Main' }, { title: 'Widgets', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Widgets.Main' }, { title: 'Awesome Widget', url: '' } ] Which can then be rendered as Foo Bar Widgets Awesome Widget Right now it seems the only way to really do this is to create the structure for each fuseaction in a fuse of some kind (either the display fuse or a fuse dedicated to creating the crumbtrail).

  • Printing complex widgets in Qt

    - by Jens
I have a complex widget with tons of different subwidgets, e.g. subclasses of QLabel. I want to print this widget, but obviously I do not want to print the background, I want to print with differing text colors or have the style of frames slightly modified. As I do not really want to iterate through all subwidgets with a special "print" function, which I would need to attach to all widgets (how to add "print" to a QLabel?), I would like to use paintEvent. If I have a hierarchy MyWidget - derived from - some QWidget, I would like to insert a sublayer MyWidget - MyPrintWidget - some QWidget, where myPrintWidget::paintEvent would check, if the current print is going to the screen (thus call QWidget::paintEvent), else if we are printing to the printer, call some function MyPrintWidget::drawWidget instead. Is this the right way to print-enable a widget? How can I figure out in paintEvent, that I'm printing to a printer instead of the screen? Is there a good example of printing complex widgets?

  • ASP.NET Server.Execute

    - by justin
I'm having some problems with Server.Execute that I can't seem to find any details on. Page page = new WidgetProcessor(Widget); Server.Execute(page, htmlTextWriter, true); The Widget in the above code is a simple object that knows how to instantiate a usercontrol. The WidgetProcessor takes a Widget and adds the widgets control to the page. This works fine on the initial load, it doesn't seem to handle postbacks however; it never actually fires the user controls events, it just consistently returns the original page as if you had never posted back. I've found this article from 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817036, though I would think they would have fixed this by now. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Validating a date with symfony using sfValidatorSchema

    - by aaronfalloon
I'm using the following widget to allow a user to input a date $this->widgetSchema['first_registration'] = new sfWidgetFormDate(array( 'format' => '%month%/%year%', 'years' => range(date('Y', time()) - 15, date('Y', time()) + 15) )); The default format for a date using this widget is %month%/%day%/%year% and so that's what the default validator for this widget checks for. However, I've attempted to alter the validator... $this->validatorSchema['first_registration'] = new sfValidatorDate(array( 'date_format' => '%month%/%year%', 'with_time' => false )); This isn't working and I'm still getting an invalid error. Does anybody know why?

  • Qt hide QLayout (switch between two layouts)

    - by Lodhart
I didn't find solution for my problem with two QLayouts. I need app with QHBoxLayout with possible expandind when I will add new widgets, push buttons, .... So what I have: One QDialog and two layouts. Now I know that I can't hide the layout. So I tray just : layout()->removeItem(firstlayout); layout()->addLayout(secondLayout); But when I did this, I saw all items in first layout on possition [0,0]. So next step I try: for (all items in first layout) if (widget) widget->hide(); But this is working only with QWidget and I have many different items in layouts. Simply way is use the widget, because there is possibole to use hide/show, but I need auto expanding window when I add new items.
