• Rhino - Set FEATURE_LOCATION_INFORMATION_IN_ERROR in code?

  I'd like fileName, lineNumber and stack traces to automatically be provided by Rhino for any errors. I've been told that I need to set FEATURE_LOCATION_INFORMATION_IN_ERROR on the current context, but I'm not sure how to do this in code. Does anybody have an example of turning this feature on so that I can see stacktrace dumps on crashes? I'm using Rhino as part of Narwhal/Jack, and so that complicates things a bit, and I think the easiest way to at least get moving forward is if I can set it through code. Thanks.

• Help needed Using C File In Project, iPhone

  Hello all, I am new to all this, but here goes: There is an apple file that I would like to use parts of for my app. It is called BatteryTimeRemaining.c. http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/PowerManagement/PowerManagement-211/pmconfigd/BatteryTimeRemaining.c I want to be able to use some of the calculations in it, the problem being I don't to know how to add and use it properly. • Changing API level Android Studio

  I want to change the minimum SDK version in Android Studio from API 12 to API 14. I have tried changing it in the manifest file, i.e., <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="14" android:targetSdkVersion="18" /> and rebuilding the project, but I still get the Android Studio IDE throwing up some errors. I presume I have to set the min SDK in 'project properties' or something similar so the IDE recognises the change, but I can't find where this is done in Android Studio. Pointers greatly appreciated. • Calling a protected Windows executable with Perl

  I'm trying to write a perl script that determines which users are currently logged into Windows by using query.exe (c:\Windows\system32\query.exe). Perl is unable to access this file, unable to execute it, even unable to see that it exists, as I've found with the following code: print `dir c:\\windows\\system32\\query*`; This produces the following output: 07/13/2009 05:16 PM 1,363,456 Query.dll 1 File(s) 1,363,456 bytes 0 Dir(s) 183,987,658,752 bytes free I've checked the user executing the script using perl's getlogin function, and it returns the name of a member of the local Administrators group (specifically, me). I've also tried adding read/execute permissions for "Everyone", but windows keeps giving me access denied errors when I try to modify this file's permissions. Finally, I've tried running perl.exe as an administrator but that doesn't fix the problem either. Is this something I can solve by changing some settings in Windows? Do I need to add something to my perl script? Or is there just no way to grant perl access to some of these processes?

• Difference between "traditional" COM and COM+ (in Component Services)

  By the "traditional" way I mean registering the DLL in registry. There seems to be another method to set up it by going to mmc-Component Services-COM+ Applications and adding the .tlb file. I have a COM library that supports both methods. When it installs, it registers itself in the registry as a COM component and it works fine. However, when I added the .tlb file using the Component Services method, the behavior seems to be different and it starts giving out errors. I suspect it has something to do with marshaling and inter-process object transfer? (Sorry, I'm really a noob in the COM area) Can anyone point me to a good resource to clear my understanding?

• Prototype's Ajax.Request not working in Chrome

  I am just doing a simple Ajax.Request call using the newest version of Prototype. It works fine in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and even Safari... but not in Chrome. Here is my code... alert(url); new Ajax.Request(url, { method: 'get', onSuccess: function(transport) { alert('test'); } }); It pops up he URL alert but the test alert never comes up. Like I said it does in every other browser. I am not getting any javascript errors and I have used Firebug. I did a console.log on each event and it gets to the onLoading stage of Ajax.Request but never onLoaded. Very confused... ?

• Setuptools Python namespace package in /opt

  I'm trying to get my app to install in /opt/[app_name] using setuptools. My app uses a namespace package. To install I run sudo python setup.py install --prefix=/opt/[app_name]/ --install-lib=/opt/[app_name]/ --install-scripts=/opt/[app_name]/ When I install it this was setuptools does not copy init.py in to my namespace package so when I come to run my app, python does not treat it as a package and I get import errors. if I create the init.py file my app works fine. How do I get setuptool to copy over the init.py file when using --install-lib and --prefix? Thanks Sam

  I am deploying a CFMX6.1 application to a Websphere 6.1 server. The server starts up without any errors but when I goto the CF Adminstrator page (or any cf page) I get the following error: Error 500: The Security service is not available. Can you deploy CFMX6.1 to WS6.1? My searches on the internets seem to say yes and no. As far as the error goes I normally end up at a page that lists the same error with stacktrace but no answers. Am I just searching using the wrong question? Thanks.

• Run groovy script from within gradle

  What's the best way to create a gradle task, which runs a groovy script? I realize that gradle build files are groovy, so I would think it would be possible to do something like this: task run << { Script app = new GroovyShell().parse(new File("examples/foo.groovy")) // or replace .parse() w/ a .evalulate()? app.run() } I get all kinds of whacky errors when I try this if bar.groovy is using @Grab annotations or even doing simple imports. I want to create a gradle task to handle this, so that I can hopefully reuse the classpath definition. Would it be better to move the examples directory into the src directory somewhere? What's a best practice?

• Where do you include FirePHP in Wordpress?

  I'm using require_once() in header.php to include the FirePHP library. In the page.php I'm doing the usual... $firephp = FirePHP::getInstance(true); $firephp->log($categories); Getting these errors.. 'Headers already sent....' and Cannot send log data to FirePHP. You must have Output Buffering enabled via ob_start() or output_buffering ini directive... I figured the using require_once in the template's header.php (above all HTML output) would be safe (pre header output). Guess this is not the case. Anyone have experience with this? (P.S. I tried the WP FirePHP plugin, wasn't working right)

• can we get the penultimate exception that occurred from an mdmp or hdmp in windbg

  Hi, I got a crash dump (both mdmp and hdmp) for my application (written in C++) captured using dr. watson. After analyzing the dumps through windbg, I concluded that the crash had occurred in the catch() itself :) What I need to know is what exception caused the the failure in the first place i.e. I need that penultimate(last but one th) exception that had occurred. I know I could get the same by some other ways, but is there a specific command with which we could get the list of errors\exceptions occurring from the dump file. Thanks. --Samrat Patil

• problem with dmg file

  Hello, I have created a dmg file named try.dmg which contains an executable application myapplication.app together with a compiled library mylibrary.lib; I used Disk Utility in order to create the try.dmg file. I mounted the try.dmg file on my computer and I opened the application myapplication.app with no problems. Still, I tried to do the same thing on another Macintosh, with the same operating system Mac OS X, but I got some problems: I mounted the try.dmg file and then when I tried to open the application myapplication.app I got an error message, that the application has quit unexpectedly. Can someone explain me what is it happening? How come this try.dmg file can be mounted and the application can be opened with no problems on my computer with Mac OS X, but on another computer with Mac OS X, after I mount the try.dmg file I get errors when I try opening the application? • Selecting fields in SQL Select statements (Dumbest SQL Question)

  Hello all, Here's a dumb question which I can't find an answer to: I have a table which contains 20 fields, a few of which are date/time. I am interested in pulling all the fields. I would like to pull the datetime fields using the to_char function but don't want to individually list out all the other fields. Is there an easy way to do this? I tried select *, tochar(dtfield) as dt2 and select tochar(dtfield) as dt2, * and both give errors. Thanks for all your help! JC

• Verify my form workflow

  I have a form, with some sensitive info (CC numbers). My work flow is: One page to take all form items Upon submission, values are validated. If all is well, all data is stored in a session variable, and the page reloads and displays this info from the session variable. If everything is ok on the review page, the user clicks submit and the session variable is sent to another form for processing (sending payment). Upon success, the session is destroyed. Upon failure (bad CC number, for example) - the user is sent back to the form, with all of the fields filled in just like before, so that they can check for errors and try again (session is NOT destroyed). Does anyone see anything wrong with this, from a security or best practices stand point? UPDATE I'm thinking I can get rid of a step - storing the info in a session EVER. Just have a one page checkout, no review page... makes sense.

I googled about features of the Korn shell and learned that it supports associative arrays, so I installed Cygwin's pdksh (public domain korn shell). However, when trying to create an associative array in the prescribed manner (typeset -A varName), I received the following errors, so I'm beginning to suspect pdksh does not support associative arrays. ./find_actions.ksh: line 2: typeset: -A: invalid option typeset: usage: typeset [-afFirtx] [-p] name[=value] ...
