    In the setup dialog for the Like-Button, there are only two options for layout: Unfortunately, the numbers for the website of my employer is nowhere near 22'000, so the powers that be have decided that we should not show the number of "likes" until said number is a little more in our favour. As far as I know, I don't have access to the layout of the button through Javascript or CSS (it's in an iframe served by facebook). Are there any other ways to hide the count?

    Hi guys, Having a really aggravating problem using Managed Metadata in SP2010 where I can get a Taxonomy Session, Term Store and Term set fine, but when I try to retrieve a term from the term set, I get a TermStoreOperationException which says that it "failed to read from or write to database". Does anyone have any idea as to why I can get the Term Set but not the terms? I can't quite understand why when they all reside in the same database I can get the set but not the terms within it. The code I'm using is below: TaxonomySession txSession = new TaxonomySession(site, true); TermStore termStore = txSession.DefaultSiteCollectionTermStore; TermSet termSet = termStore.GetTermSet(txField.TermSetId); TermCollection termCollection = termSet.GetTerms(xnField.InnerText.Trim(), true); //exception thrown on this line.     I've been looking at this for ages now and I cant find anything on the net that provides a solution. When trying to use the tag... ...this is embedded on a tab canvas. The 'Like' button appears when using the app locally, however, it doesn't appear when used on the facebook site. I get this error:- FBML Error (line 264): unknown tag "fb:like" I have FBML enabled in the settings. I've also tried using the iframe alternative with no luck. Any ideas? PS.. I'm using CakePHP

    We have created an ASP.NET web app that upload files to WSS Doc Libary. The files get added under 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT' in the library. The FullTextSqlQuery class is used to search the document libary items. But it only searches files that has been uploaded by a windows user account like 'Administrator' and ignores the ones uploaded by 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT'. As a result the search results are empty even though we have the necessary data in the document library. What could be the reason for this?     Hey guys I have this piece of code which works 90% of the time: $user_details=$fb-api_client-users_getInfo($fb_user, array('last_name','first_name','proxied_email')); $firstName=$user_details[0]['first_name']; But sometimes I get this error: Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array for line $firstName=$user_details[0]['first_name']; I have read several people report the same issue - but I'm still not clear as to what is the reason - Am I getting this error because facebook is not returning any results or am I getting because it is returning only a single array instead of array of arrays.     I am having a problem with PayPal IPN response. After payment is made by the customer, PayPal IPN returns this URL: www.mywebsite.com?orderid=32&tx=2AC67201DL3533325&st=Pending&amt=2.50&cc=USD&cm=&item_number=32 There are a couple of issues Post-back field names are undefined or missing. Thus I can get the INVALID message. I am not sure if my website does not read POST variables. When I looked at IPN history, it shows that each IPN has been sent with the complete url. Payment status keeps coming Pending. Does this issue cause the first issue? Thank you for your responses in advance.     I'm writing a Python class in C and I want to put assertions in my debug code. assert.h suits me fine. This only gets put in debug compiles so there's no chance of an assert failure impacting a user of the Python code*. I'm trying to divide my 'library' code (which should be separate to the code linked against Python) so I can use it from other C code. My Python methods are therefore thinnish wrappers around my pure-C code. So I can't do this in my 'library' code: if (black == white) { PyErr_SetString(PyExc_RuntimeError, "Remap failed"); } because this pollutes my pure-C code with Python. It's also far uglier than a simple assert(black != white); I believe that the Distutils compiler always sets NDEBUG, which means I can't use assert.h even in debug builds. Mac OS and Linux. Help! *one argument I've heard against asserting in C code called from Python.

    I have been looking at sample online code for interfacing with the Windows Task Scheduler, and most of them import the namespace: Microsoft.Win32.TaskScheduler When I go to import it, it's not there within Win32. Does anyone know why I can't import it? I'm assuming something isn't registered correctly on my machine, but I can't fiugre out how to fix it. Just for the record, I can start the Scheduled Task component under Accessories. I've using VS 2008 (VB.Net) with Windows XP professional. Thanks.

    I have a facebook desktop app with some test users all having granted the stream_read & offline access permissions. I can easily retrieve posts to each users' stream & profile. What I cannot do easily is retrieve posts that a user has made to one of their friend's walls. In fact, this used to work with a rather complex multiquery, but has stopped working now, or is working only intermittently... Does anyone care to share their method if one exists or discuss what restrictions there might be to this type of complex querying?

    Greetings - I have a SharePoint 2010 server running with the User Profile service setup to synchronize to Active Directory. I'd like to use the UserProfileManager.Search() method to return user profiles based on specific criteria. MSDN documentation for this method is here. It states that the method will return user profiles that match the specified search pattern. This is exactly what I want. However, there is no documentation on what a valid search pattern is. I've made a few guesses like "Department = 'HR'" but haven't had any luck. I can't find any other documentation or sample code. Can anyone provide samples of valid "search patterns?" Another way to return user profiles is to do a query using the FullTextSqlQuery object. We don't yet have Search setup on this server so this isn't currently an option. Thanks, Greg

  • Auto Login facebook user into application

    So, Here is the scenario I am trying to fix. A returning user is logged into facebook but not logged into the application. In this case when the user tries to load the application, since the user cookie is not attained yet, it redirects the user to the login page. I googled around and found this solution, FB.Event.subscribe('auth.sessionChange', function(response) { if (response.session) { window.location.reload(); } } basically whats happening here is, we are registering to facebook for a login/logout event and when it receives a response, we reload the page. Now its loads the right page since we have the user cookie on our site domain after the first load. this works, but the problem is the double load. It takes a lot of time. How can I attain the user cookie on server side for returning user? so that I don't have to do the initial page reload. Also, I have looked at yelp, and somehow they are able to load the user information without doing double load, does any body know they are able to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

When trying to get the session key, I get the following error: com.restfb.FacebookResponseStatusException: Received Facebook error response (code 100): Invalid parameter at com.restfb.DefaultFacebookClient.throwFacebookResponseStatusExceptionIfNecessary(DefaultFacebookClient.java:357) at com.restfb.DefaultFacebookClient.makeRequest(DefaultFacebookClient.java:320) at com.restfb.DefaultFacebookClient.execute(DefaultFacebookClient.java:188) at com.restfb.DefaultFacebookClient.execute(DefaultFacebookClient.java:178) Documentation for getting session doesn't say any more parameters are required! Did anybody already try this JAR or do you have any other solution for Java?
